"I have an idea for a mod that would bring even more realism to the game—random AI-driven sheriff and state patrol units issuing traffic citations along interstates and highways. Players could customize which law enforcement agencies patrol different areas of the map, making each region feel unique and immersive.

I think this would be an incredible addition! The talent and creativity of modders never cease to amaze me, and I truly appreciate all the hard work that goes into creating plugins, scripts, and vehicles. Your contributions make the game so much more engaging—thank you - Scotty Dean

Lspdfr already has ambient traffic stops

Hey @Yasd would there be a way to increase the amount of time that the ambient traffic stops occur by chance?  It seems that most are always finishing the traffic stop.  Or perhaps the frequency in which they would occur?

Please feel free to check out my straight to the point LSPDFR TUTORIALS / LSPDFR GAMEPLAY

I appreciate the ambient traffic stops already in place, but as Benzo pointed out, they typically occur at the tail end of a stop and mostly within the main Los Santos city. I'd love to see dedicated Highway and Interstate patrols, where a few AI units are stationed along the interstate exclusively for traffic enforcement—catching speeders and conducting stops that take a bit more time, maybe up to five minutes.

This wouldn't be an intensive mod, just something to enhance the ambiance and realism.

Thanks again for checking out my post—I really enjoy your mods! Cheers!

So there would not be any new gameplay for Player?
Only occasionally seeing a vehicle that has been pulled over and some AI-officers talking or writing a ticket? Is that all?
If so that can be done with simple faking, just randomly spawn a civilian vehicle with a police car/bike and an officer next to it... -Almost possible with a sprite animation of that scene ... (nah not
Where is the Players role in that?
Give us a detailed walk through of the event

Let me know if you find it interesting.

The mod would focus on highway patrol, featuring state troopers and county sheriffs strategically setting up speed traps, waiting for unsuspecting speeders. Every so often, officers would spring into action, pursuing violators and pulling them over to issue citations. This enforcement would take place across the entire county, adding a dynamic and immersive experience for players.

Unlike city traffic stops, which tend to show only the final moments of an interaction, highway patrol stops would be more in-depth, capturing the full process—from initial pursuit to the extended roadside engagement. The longer durations would add realism, making each stop feel authentic.   Trust me people would love it , ask Benzo I believe he liked the idea as well  cheers !

The player's role in this mod is to fully immerse themselves in the ambiance and realistic atmosphere of the game. Not every player is seeking nonstop action—some appreciate the slower, more authentic experience. For me, spending hours running traffic between Paleto Bay and Sandy Shores is incredibly relaxing. Seeing fellow AI troopers patrolling the interstate in the same way would enhance the immersion and make for an amazing mod IMO   appreciate your feedback - Scotty Dean

Stimmt

I was thinking about similar as well. To include the player, AI can start evading, officers can flag us down for help etc. My thought actually just yesterday was other officers responding code 3 past you or code 2. Maybe multiple vehicles, fire squads, ambulance just to add the immersion in a busy city or busy interstate. (I have no clue how often that happens in LA area, I'm from Germany) Or other small immersive events such as MVAs occurring like in Watch Dogs 2. Something like that would really be a significant touch to the game's immersion.
