Well the news of the next consoles are already starting to bring rumors, and for the large part they are not great.

 

For the PS4 the rumors of a system that will not allow you to play pre-owned games, being slightly confirmed with the securement of a patent for the system means that you will have to buy brand new games each time.

 

For the next Xbox (720?) I just read a rumor that it will only work when connected the the internet.

Microsoft is rumoured to have made the next Xbox require an active internet connection to work.

 

So I'm starting to have my doubts if I will support their moves and boycott them instead, what are your opinions, or views?

I would buy the PS4 if all my friends were on it, but that's not the case. I like the fact that the online is free, which is one thing, in my opinion, is better about it..

But the Xbox 720 would be my pick if I had to choose.

I was a long fan of PS3. I still love them. But the fact that all of my friends are on the xbox, Xbox would be choice aswell!

It seems to me that a lot more people have an Xbox. 8 out of 10 people I know have an Xbox instead of a PS3.

When I bought mine, I got it because it was almost 100$ cheaper than a PS3. I didn't see much of a reason for spending an extra 100 on console that did pretty much the same exact thing.

You didn't list the STEAM BOX  ! I am getting one.  That will probably the only consoles I will get.  

im going to wait until E3 and see what all they have to offer and what they change before i choose. But all my friends are on xbox.

It's a very complicated decision, we know very little about either console, it's hard to differentiate between the rumours.

 

What's important is to look at the games that are out for each console, specifically the exclusive titles for each console, what am I most interested in, I haven't seen or heard anything about what they are planning for the next xbox, which I doubt will be called the 720.

You didn't list the STEAM BOX  ! I am getting one.  That will probably the only consoles I will get.  

 

Wow, thanks for telling me about this, I did not even hear about this, so it's pretty much a condensed PC but only exclusive to Steam Games?

 

We all know that Steam is crazy DRM, and I would rather buy my own parts, and build my own computer for my next computer, I spoiled myself and brought a big ticket Alienware, but I miss the fact that it was my own custom computer.

 

I personally wont be buying any of the consoles if the rumors are true, I know that for most people a active internet connection is not a big thing, but for me it is, and a huge part of my games are pre-owned.

That's all they are, rumors.

 

Hell I could release a statement on IGN and say "The new Xbox 720 will be powered 100% by Ethanol"

 

some people would believe it, wait until you hear from the actual companies themselves.

I will be waiting obviously I understand rumors are just rumors, but right now from hearing these rumors I would not be buying any of these systems. I do hope that they don't come true.

PC

 

I second that. PC will always be my primary gaming platform. Depending on which one has a better game library upon release, that's the one I'll get. I have a job so I'm not conerned about picking up a scratched up game disc some kid traded in just to save $10. The amount of games availible and maybe the graphics would factor into it the most. I bought the XBOX 360 because it had a much larger game library at the time, now things are more even. Before that, the PS2 had a much larger game library compared to the XBOX.

I dont see a option for PC so I will just add my own option.

When the PS4 and Xbox 720 come out they will be out of date with in weeks... Im never going leave PC gaming...

I never even had an PS1    I never had the very first box that came-out. I'm sticking with the PC, I'm An computer person.

I would spend $4,000 on an PC then an PS4 worth $800 or more

I dont see a option for PC so I will just add my own option.

I didn't add PC because the topics about consoles, and PC's are far from consoles for a great many reason.

 

1) PC's are constantly upgradabale, with the latest technology, while consoles only get upgrades on the next generation, and they are not even using the latest cores/GPU's.

 

2) Consoles get released on specific dates, PC's are always out there.

 

3) The biggest difference is that there is no comparison of a PC over a console.

 

Just to clarify when I talk about a PC, I talk about a desktop, not a laptop. Personally laptops where never initially designed for games.

Who said they were the same? I didn't even have those words come out of my mouth  when I was typing that. Take a chill pill.....

 

Also that is just why PC's are  also 1000x better the consoles can a consoles send a space ship into space, I think not...

lol I am chill hahaha. Too many people take me seriously when I'm not really lol, I was just explaining why I had not included PC's.

I use my xbox once and a while but i think i will stick with PC for more of an option and games to choose from
