Yea, as you're playing the game, I believe it loads cache, that slows down the game mostly for people with low end computers. To prevent that, add that line to the command file. It won't hurt to try.

I already tried that and it's good for TBoGT atm.

Only TBoGT? because my tweaks aren't as effective with TBoGT for some weird reason. I've also noticed when I put my pc on high performance, I get a huge fraps difference as well

I was wondering what the commandline format looks like. Would it be ok if I just copied and paste what you posted? Also, does there have to be any specific extension when I save it? (e. g. .reg, .txt

Oh thanks for reminding me. I forgot to mention that you have to open a notepad and name the file "commandline" and the file type should be .txt. You can copy and paste what I posted.

Ok, thanks. I'll try doing that. For some reason my copy of EFLC won't start up; it's saying something along the lines of "Fatal RESC10 error, out of video memory, please reboot your system"

I have two more questions. (Sorry!) First of all, would I put the text file in my EFLC folder, or should I put it in the "TLAD" or "TBOGT" folders? Secondly, in my EFLC folder there already is a commandline program. Would this text file overwrite that one, or do I need to delete that file? Thanks.

Try rebooting your pc, if that doesn't work, every time it crashes, just keep restarting the game until it shows. If all else fails look on Google for help on that error. To answer your questions, move the original commandline to another location (just in case you want to change it back). Then, put the new commandline in your EFLC folder.

When I drag the win32_30_atidx10 folder into the win32_30_nv8 folder, GTA IV tells me that a invalid resource has been detected when I start the game.

This happens sometimes...What you have to do is put the folder back into the original location and start the game, you can save if you want. Then exit, put the folder back into the new location and try starting the game again. If that fails, run GTA IV.exe as an administrator. That might also solve the problem.

It seems to be working pretty well, but there is one problem. The sound seems to be lagging and sounds all crackly, but the game isn't lagging. I don't know what it is but some help with this would be great, thanks!

I don't think that the problem their is related to GTA or LCPDFR.

I fixed it, it just needed a good ol' reboot and some tweaking with the settings a bit. It was pretty strange but its out of the way now. There is another thing though, the game is in windowed mode now, its still full resolution fitting my monitor but it just isn't fullscreen. Anyone know what thats about?

You probably changed something in the settings to make it windowed.

Okay open up the commandline in your main directory and delete the line: -windowed

So, today I started messing around with my computer and found it useful for low end pc's that if you have your screen resolution 800 x 600 and also put 800 x 600 in your gta graphics menu settings, you would have 15 - 30 fraps through the whole game...(no promises but most likely will work) I know it looks horrible, but when your desperate and you hate lagging, this is your best option... ALSO very important.... if you're going to switch your resolution, when you play the game, if you have the game on high priority, when you press a key, it will be delayed in the game...so my advice to you is put the game on normal priority.....Remember that this is only for people with low end pc's or if you like having a game with horrible graphics
