I'm using the retail version of GTAV (Rockstar launcher) I have no idea if this method works with Steam and/or Epic Games Launcher versions of GTA V!

If you're like me and downloaded the new update for GTAV thus preventing you from playing LSPDFR until updates roll out and didn't make a backup save of your GTAV file before the recent update. I have a method in order to play the older version with LSPDFR as long as you have a backup of the old game files. (I don't use the Rage backup, I simply just copy my entire GTAV folder without mods and with a stable mod collection seperate so I can go back to a stable state of my game) however after this I'm probably going to use Rages inbuilt backup to save plenty of time lol.

Thought I'd post this incase anyone else was stuck like me wanting to play the game.

Simply paste these files into your main GTAV directory and open the game via the .exe provided. Then once your games fully loaded up you can start the RAGEPluginHook.exe and it will hook into your game, give it a minute and you should be able to load your plugins if you haven't got them set to automatically load in Ragehook. This will also allow you to play GTAV singleplayer if you need to for whatever reason. Hope this helps!

Hi there. So I have the problem of Not backing the game up at all. When I try to launch GTA Istelf, it doesn't Launch at all. Is it possible you could help?

If you never made a backup of the GTAV files before updating, there's no chance until RageHook and/or LSPDFR update accordingly. If you did make a backup before downloading the update, follow my instructions. Hope this helps.

Also soon I will have a guide for LSPDFR newbies and even regulars on an optimized and stable version of the game with core plugins and visual files. You can find my old thread here which actually still works for the most part but I will be making a new one in the coming weeks to help!

I have none of these... I've had Gta V for about a month now and I just got into modding, lspdfr and what not. I didn't make any backups... and now I can't even play modded :( is there any chance there's a link where i can download a backup file from the previous version ? or if someone sends me a backup file from the previous version ? 

Do you guys know if it takes a long time for ragepluginhook and scripthookIV to update after a title update?

You're kinda screwed if you didn't make any backups. Updates for rage and script can range anywhere from 1 day to 1 week

Hmm not sure about this one. Sure you're using the previous version of GTAV without the update?

When you start LSPDFR you should copy the original GTAV files and keep them elsewhere I do this plus copy a stable running version of the modded GTAV seperate also so that when things go wrong I just delete my GTAV modded file and go back to either one of these original stable files.

A week or two probably for the update at most, if we're lucky within the week.

As for the old version of GTAV if you didn't back it up, there's no chance of you getting it. The upload size alone for that would be to great for anyone to do and any website to handle without paying a lot of money.

The big red banner on every important page on this website explains it.

But thats the point how do I run the game without updating it!!!!!!! it wants to always connect to rockstar

Rockstar make it deliberately difficult. Don't like it? Complain to them.

The advice sssneaky works on the retail version of the game, but your mileage may vary, and it might just not work. That's not really something we can fix.

Ah yes I failed to mention in the OP of this thread that I am using the non-steam non-epic version of the game (Rockstar Launcher).

I have absolutely no idea if this method works for the other versions.

You using Steam or Epic version of GTAV? Because if you are I do not think my method would work. I'm using the retail version of the game, sorry about that!

A new patch has been released for GTA V. RAGE Plugin Hook, Scripthook V and potentially LSPDFR will need an update to support this.

The big red banner tells you that RPH will need an update to work with the new version. LSPDFR depends on RPH to run.
To you, whether LSPDFR works with the update or not is purely academic, as RPH would be needed for you to test this.
