Don't know if this is already a known issue but you can't click the X when viewing a picture on either the forums or downloads. Using escape on the keyboard does work though.

Yup, I loved the 2011 to 2015 theme, it's crazy to think how much the community has changed since then along with all the drama issues that used to go down back in the day. The demographics of the community are completely different from what they were back then. Not to mention you only had a few prominent modders, now everyone and their grandmother are publishing mods.

 

I certainly do love how much of a GTA V vibe the new theme gives off.

Yeah, I reported that in my last little testy update thingy. 🙂

 

Love the look of the site. One suggestion: maybe bring back the star ratings for downloads on the download pages? To see the ratings you have to click on the file to see it. You can see the number of likes and comments from the download pages still. Also, when I enlarge images, I cannot click on the arrows to change the picture because they fade away when I move the mouse towards them, and the "X" in the upper right corner doesn't work for me.

The issue you described with not being able to left/right or close image windows should be fixed now.

So far, for most of the major updates to the forums since 2012, I've disliked the way they've looked. So far, I'm impressed.

 

As someone pointed out, the pips under the member titles are gone now, which I feel both ways about - on one hand, it's harder to quickly judge who's who because the staff all had ten million pips, but on the other hand, it makes it feel like less of a (mental) pissing contest over the number of pips.

 

The new typeface the forum uses is really nice on the eyes.

 

One question though, since winter's coming soon: Do you lads plan to bring back the LSPDFR Red theme and the badge-shaped userpics? :^)

Edit: Actually, I do have one proper nitpick that isn't me funnin' with you guys. The navigation widget in the header and footer are both a bit difficult to read on both the LSPDFR Retina and LSPDFR Dark themes.

I'm going to be totally honest, I liked the last website design. But this one is cool though.

Actually, and I forgot to mention this earlier cause I was half-asleep when typing out the last thing, the pips still exist. They just only show up on your profile page.

We may end up doing something like over at mod-rdr.com where there's some fancy hi-jinks around the display pictures instead of pips, but I'm unsure yet.  I didn't think that the pips added anything other than unnecessary clutter to the side panel as they were.  You can still see them on profiles so they're not totally gone, I suppose.

I don't really have an answer yet as far as that goes to be honest, we'll just have to wait and see.

A fair point, I'll see if we can make it a little clearer.

That's unfortunate. I missed my dots. But I guess I can just go to my profile and look at them there. xD

I should note as well that I added a new reaction type on a whim last night, which it's nice to see some people are using liberally already!

We haven't had 'negative' reactions on the community for a little while now, and we won't going forward, but I think it'd be fun to add a couple more positive reactions to play around with instead of just the plain-old 'like'. 

 

One thing I'll do as well is see if we can make some of them more 'special' than others, like the new one possibly awarding more points than just a like, but coming with a time/use limitation in that you'd only be able to use it every so often.
