Cop Holster is an RPH plugin that adds some unique functionality to the police handgun holster. It removes the handgun from the holster if a pistol is a drawn. It also comes with intimidation mode -- a simple feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Cop Holster works with both the player and AI officers.

Requirements
RAGEPluginHook 0.23 or higher.

 

Installation
Place CopHolster.dll and CopHolster.xml in your Plugins folder.
When ingame, open the RPH console (default F4) and type LoadPlugin CopHolster.dll.

 

Features

  • Dynamic holsters for both the player an AI officers.
  • Animations that automatically play when holstering and unholstering.
  • Intimidation mode, a feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Toggle with Right Shift Key (keyboard) or Left DPad (controller).

Questions
Does this come with RDE support?
The RDE Cop Holster config file is in the RDE 3.1 download.

 

Does this come with EUP support?
Yes. Cop Holster comes with support for EUP 7.5.

 

How does Cop Holster work?
All ped models in GTA have what are called drawables. They are pieces of clothing or equipment that can vary between instances of that model. Many of the default cop models have two holster drawables. One is empty, and one has a pistol. Cop Holster simply changes between those two drawables depending on if you have your pistol drawn or not to give the illusion that you are taking the pistol out of the holster.   


I'm a ped model developer and would like to make my model work with Cop Holster. How would I go about doing that?

Hello I have a weird problem!Holstering and intimidation mode works just fine BUT the moment i push caps lock and the walking animation change to the intimidation mode..stucks there ..Whatever i do, i have that cocky walking style and i can not change it even with the trainer..any ideas?

LSPDFR uses the Caps Lock key to do some idle animation stuff that changes your walkstyle. Switching the intimidation key to something other than Caps Lock (like Tab, for example) will resolve this conflict.

Sorry but it doesn't work with me.

I use EUP MENU and made sure the .ini file includes the EUP Lines

the mod is working fine on the default police officers except my eup officers... is there a way to fix it?

Using cap locks to put your hand over your gun permanently gives you a really goofy walking animation.

@PieRGud  This plugin works fine for me, except for the animation when pulling the gun out of the holster.  That animation has not changed.  Any idea why?

It seems some of the new uniforms in EUP v. 7.5 dont support Cop Holster

Actually, I discovered my issue is oddly with my custom character I made.  Works fine if I use a regular cop ped.

How did you get it to work with regular EUP ped? my holster is not working at all for any EUP 7.5 peds.

I didn't.  For whatever reason, cop holster animations won't work with my custom ped. It works fine if I use s_m_y_cop_01 or sheriff_01.

I hope it's allowed to post this problem here. Anyway, I have a problem with 'Cop Holster'. After a while I can't put my hand on the gun. My character just shrugs. The animations are working fine.

Basically the config file is in a different format. It also allows you to have multiple dynamic holsters. So, for example, you could have a dynamic gun, taser, and baton holster all on the same ped. You can see this in action with the recently released RDE 3.1.

When i draw my gun it takes it out but wont go back into holster it just stays empty did i do something wrong with the installation?

I seem to have an issue with EUP uniforms, whenever I unholster the pistol it works just fine.

But, when I holster it, the gun does not show in the holster.

Never had a bug previously, I completely uninstalled the older version, and recently started using updated version tonight.
