Spotlight 1.4

With certain vehicles the spotlight is just a thin line how do I adjust that

I managed to load the plug through rage console...

Just did a tutorial on how to install and set up the offsets. GREAT MOD. I've used it for a year now and will always use it!

Hello. This is an amazing mod btw. 

Although I've installed it, I can't work out how to change the offset for addon vehicles. This is because I don't know what the name would be, for normal vehicles it is obviously POLICE, POLICE4, FBI etc, but no idea what addon vehicles would be.

If you could help, that would be great!

You can add a new category of vehicle in the same section where you select the vehicle model

The spotlight works and I can pull up the menu, but for some reason, the numpad won't move the spotlight and it stays forward. How do I fix that?

I added LShiftKey as a modifier so that when I press LShiftKey + I, it doesn't conflict with SpeedRadarLite. That's the only thing I changed in the .ini, other than making sure I have it set so only the keyboard controls are enabled.

Make sure the numpads aren't locked by NumLock.

Either way, it's way more convenient to move it by holding Ctrl and rotating the view angle so the spotlight can follow 😉

Love this mod! But I have a problem with it. Everything works fine when I use it in single player, but when I start recording and go into Rockstar Editor it doesnt show?

Is there an easy fix to this?

Well that's because the light source does not exist in the game universe, it's more like let's say a sticker on a painting. You can however enable the spotlight on the heli by a trainer simultaneously with the spotlight mod, so when the turret moves the light source will follow

Hey so i have a problem with the tracking system, i tried to do a helicopter patrol with it and when i press Dpad 3 nothing happens, i tried going as close as possible without blowing up, pressed Dpad 3, nothing, sometimes when i press it, it tracks random civ cars or police vehicles, any advice?

It's been a little change to the tracking system since the last update:

• Now tracking chooses the pedestrian or vehicle closest to where the spotlight is aiming.

Thanks for the info,though i just figured out i can just aim my camera at a vehicle and click the button,

I believe this does not work with the recent game update from December 15th. If anyone has this runnning and can please update us, we would appreciate it. I just downloaded it on my first ever lcpdfr build last week, and now, after a fresh mod build, it's not working.

I can confirm it is not working since the update.

Going to confirm that it’s not working. Won’t load plug-in ( get error/file missing TIallocatoroffsets ) excuse my spelling

I will confirm this as well.  Latest update has finally broken this mod.  I truly wish Rockstar would just leave things alone when it comes to singleplayer modding, but this is what we have to put up with.  If it were not for the modding community, this game would have died a long time ago, yet Rockstar doesn't see it that way. They think that 'online' is their true loyal customers.

I also can confirm it isn’t working since the latest update as well. Benzo, I totally agree with you. Rockstar just needs to quit updating this game. They keep pushing these useless updates which I haven’t even seen any benefit from. All because of the online storyline? Tsk tsk. The online stuff isn’t even fun anymore. 😞 

Was starting to really enjoy using this again but unfortunately its now broken with the newest RPH, it would actually be legendary if alex could ever come back to fix it. Updates to the game are just kind of getting annoying for me now ngl

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the creator? Maybe if they were made aware of it, then they would be able to fix it. Honestly, that little spotlight mod didn't seem like much when I first discovered it (last week lmao), but now that it's gone, I'm sad I didn't get a chance to really use it. Maybe someone will make a new one someday.

Sadly, Alexguirre is one of those creators who doesn't interact with his community.  Getting in contact with him is impossible.
