Folk who abandon their solutions are the worst.

I'm having difficulties getting this plugin to load, I thought it was my because I was using an old version of GTA, still having the plugin crash whether loaded through startup or console. It does not crash the game mind you, just the mod. 

I've tried using only the spotlight plugin alongside with lspdfr, still no avail 

Same here, the plugin is crashing when loading into the game.

When i download it and when i try to open the .zip file it says The archive is either unknown format or damaged.

LSPDFR was having a glitch with the site. It did this with all files. If you try again now it'll work.

Do you have any idea how big of a hit this would be if it wasn't "RageHook" but just ScripthookV or ScriptHookDotNet? People like myself who enjoy role-playing with friends on FiveReborn obviously can't use "RageHook" and probably won't anytime in the near future. I highly suggest creating something like this that doesn't involve RageHook.

I have a problem sometimes the spot light works but only to the side of the car in front of the car its really dim.  Not always like this not sure what causes it but when it happens there is no way to fix it from what I can tell.

Just so you're aware. The version the mod says it is and the version LSPDFR says it is don't match up.

Some model frames block the light. Go into the edit mode and adjust each vehicle that's giving you this problem :)

Thanks for the reply I found this editor last night playing and it fixed my spotlights ! 

I have a problem.. When I try to use the ingame editor I cant get it to close.. The mouse wont go above the line to press the exit button an pressing insert again dont work.. Any ideas?   Also is there anyway to make the brights stay on when you get out of the car? Also I noticed sometimes the spot light wont show up unless I spawn another car an turn it on in the other car.

I was also getting the errors and not able to use the mod and then realize it was because I assigned the activation key to my own personal custom key.  Is there any way I can assign my own custom key for activating the mod?  I want to use the + key over by the number pad.  Is that possible?

Seriously no one knows the answer to my very simple question?

Did you use the keys from https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.xna.framework.input.keys.aspx ? The activate key should be bound to Add if you want the numpad + key.

I tried it and it didn't work.  OEMplus is what they have listed and no that doesn't work.

Using the numpad + key works fine for me. I just changed the default key to "Add"

Enable/DisableKey = Add

Hey all. Have not really found anyone to answer this question. have posted in forums, support, I even asked jeff faviagno directly but did not see a reply. How do I edit a vehicle to ensure the spotlight mod works with it. A example is captain14's Tahoe, the spotlight is 95% blocked. Is there a way to edit that? I heard jeff in one of his vids say he can fix that. any help is appreciated.

If you check the .ini file you can find what the key is. I have mine changed from the original so I'm not much help as to what the key is.

Thanks for your reply. I mean the actual vehicle model. Some vehicles the spotlight is blocked, others it works perfectly. As for key choice, I use the J key but the mod works fine. Its not the mod so much as the vehicles no allowing the spotlight mod to work properly.

Yes. In the .ini you can find the edit key button. This button activates an in-game editor that allows you to adjust the position of the spotlight per vehicle.

I've done everything to try and get this mod to work. I've followed the instructions properly, have even gone as far as downloading each individual release up to the most recent and applying it to my GTA V folder, as instructed. But this mod simply will not work and is very disappointing and frustrating! If someone could please instruct me as to what else I might be able to do to fix this, it would greatly be appreciated.

I'm in the same boat and have done the same thing. if I find out anything ill let you know. can u do the same for me?

So with my police slot, the spotlight looks as if its behind something when I have it forward. But when I turn it all the way to the left it shows up. Any ideas on how to fix this??

Press "insert" to open adjustment menu in-game. Move spotlight up or down to your preference, click save.
