Automatic Roadblocks

Automatic Roadblocks allows the dispatching of roadblocks during a pursuit based on a selected pursuit level.

When roadblocks are deployed, custom scanner audio is played as well as for the indication that the pursuit level is automatically increased.

Next to automatic roadblocks, it allows you to place configurable manual roadblocks and traffic redirections.

Audio levels have been decreased as of version 0.8.0, please update all files provided in this plugin under "lspdfr/audio".

Requirements

  • LSPDFR 0.4.9.0+

Automatic roadblocks

Automatic roadblocks are deployed automatically or requested by the player during a pursuit.

Each roadblock is dynamically created based on the road location where it is deployed (no prefabs are used).

 

Each roadblock level has a unique setup and variation which makes it more difficult to pass the higher the level is.

Evening/night - Lights

Lights will be automatically placed within the roadblock during the evening/night.

This option can be disabled in the config file.

 

Automatic roadblock level increases

The levels of the roadblock are automatically increased based on the following conditions:

Spoiler
  • The duration of the pursuit
  • The total number of roadblocks deployed for the pursuit
  • If the suspects are shooting
  • Number of cops killed by the suspects

 

Roadblock levels

The roadblock levels are now fully customisable to your liking.

Manual placement

Deploy a custom configured roadblock (outside of pursuits) through the in-game menu.

The manual placement option allows different variants of barriers, lights and vehicles.

Redirect traffic

Create a configurable traffic redirection for the current lane.

This will not close the road but redirect traffic to the next lane or around the location.

Close road

Close the current road for any traffic with roadblocks along the road or close the nearby intersection.

This feature will be expanded in the future with additional scenery items.

is it compatible with eup? i cant get the components to work its just a blue shirt for the mp character.

The new version 0.5.7 uses the LSPDFR function for creating the units, so it should be compatible with EUP.

I'm using EUP myself while working on the plugin, so there shouldn't be an issue with it.

However, the older versions didn't use the LSPDFR functions, so they indeed had issues when EUP was used.

okay thank you, i switched the vehicles in sahp for manual redirection but eup still doesnt work out

Great mod, but noticed some bugs.

 

1. Cops drive off once placed, not sure if they're supposed to do that.

2. Cars do not care about the manual roadblocks/traffic redirects and drive straight into them.

3. Looking away from roadblocks while walking a few feet away causes them to de-spawn.

 

Pursuit roadblocks seem to work fine.

This first one is known, but I currently have no idea what's causing them to leave area instantly.

For the others I'll have to do some additional investigation.

They are deployed too late, sometime is not even deployed

I love the idea for this mod - I would use it a LOT but I'm having the same issues as derekisatwood

 

Cops drive off, cars ignore the blocks, and looking away makes everything disappear

Some of the issues derekisatwood reported have been fixed already on the latest development version and will be released this week.

I'm still looking into the remaining ones to get them fixed before shipping the release.

 

If you encounter any others, please let me know.

hello after a while if automatic roadblocks crashes by itself and i try to reload lspdfr it will crash until i either restart gta, or take out automatic roadblocks or replace the automatic roadblock files itll load again

So far the plugin works extremely well, only it very often gets errors that you then can no longer open the menu or request roadblocks, etc.

Everything is fine i just have one error, which is when i open the menu for manual placement there is some bug or problem and it says ManualPlacementMenuSwitchItem does not respond or something like that and it doesen't open the menu, can somebody help?

Can you DM me your RagePluginHook.log so I can have a look at it?
I'll see if I can find a fix for it.

@yoep Got a red warning that something stopped working during a pursuit when trying call in a road block then lspdfr crashed next time i'll do a screenshot of the actual error. heres my log file....

For certain roads that has sharp turns or slightly narrower than the regular streets, especially near Rockford Hills, cop cars are being spawned either on top of the cliff or falling down from a cliff.
