Dispatch Revemp & Developer Resource 2.0

(5 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Hello! Nameless New Guy here.

Dispatch Revamp Alpha is a resource for Call Out Developers. This package includes call outs for fires, helicopter missions, and an assortment of other call outs. I only did the call outs I could find and thus the reason this file upload is listed as Alpha I'm pretty sure I missed a lot but hopefully we knocked out a large chunk.

So I'm mostly new to LSPDFR and as a person that's interested in law enforcement games I think LSPDFR is one of the best (if not THE best) law enforcement game on the market. I'm new to GTA V modding but I'm not new to modding games. Having said that I understand that GTA V isn't friendly for mod developers and all you are doing the best you can to work with what you got. That's what modding is all about right? Working with you got ... and in the world of dispatch audio, from what I can tell there isn't a lot to work with. So since I can't mod anything I decided to put my audio tinkering skills to the test and have brought you this resource.

Please Note: This is a resource for Call Out Developers Only At This point. Why? Well because I'm not familiar with every single call out that's out there so I'm pretty sure I missed some lines somewhere. What WILL happen is that different callouts will pull their audio from different locations. Meaning you'll get different dispatch voices delivering you the same call.

Developers a problem you should be aware of and I think it's fixed. But the audio may glitch this is because there may be some meta data on the file. There should be no meta data because I've went through every last file but mistakes happen. Other than that my only is concern is that I'm missing call outs I don't know about.

Features

- You get flavors with most of your audio. You'll have a calm and an urgent version of some things.  That's right when your fellow officer is getting shot at the dispatcher will have a sense of urgency in her voice.

- Helicopter calls complete with custom call signs, missions, and mission complete or mission fail audio (example "Mission failed, RTB, and stay out the Captain's sight"

- Some generic calls for fire (i.e citizens report a small or large amount of smoke) hopefully that cover structure, vehicle, what have you.

-You may notice a file with (+Typing) yeah, are you annoyed by the Uhhhhs? Well now there is typing there so the call will sound like this "Unit 1, Citizens reports suspicious activity in *keyboard typing* Davis" .. yes the Uhhhs are there too if you want to use them.

FAQ
Why did you make this file?

Because I can't mod. I like audio engineering and so I decided to contribute by uploading some of my audio tinkerings in hopes of giving call out developers the chance to finally create the calls they want. Also having our own source for custom audio removes the restrictions of what comes with the game.

That voice actor sounds familiar...who is she?

Ah, you have good ears! That's Cari Scholtens, she was featured in Mass Effect Andromeda, she's the Human Infiltrator, Gill's Friend (the doctor you meet) and an extra in the opening sequence of the game. She asks you to help with the generators.

Whaaa? Mass Effect ... is this resource free?

Uh, yeah! She volunteered to help out so it's not right to charge.

So why isn't this a replacer?

Because I'm super new to the LSPDFR scene and I don't know about all of the call out packs out there. Since they all pull their audio from different places I thought it would be best to let these skilled people use this resource for their own work so you and I won't get mished mashed audio with our calls.

Not a question ... but you forgot something...

Dang it! I'm am so sorry about that. Please let me know the line that's missing and we'll see if we can get it fixed.

Say can you do this really awesome thing? I think that would be neat!

I'm all for helping people improve their gaming experience. But keep in mind I'm just an audio tinkerer. I mean I just learned how to install cars  ... so ... yeah. But if it's something I can do I'll give it a shot. Also note I'm working on other neat things too.

Like what?

Better police audio.

Seriously?

Yep. Got voice actors lined up and getting more lined up to cover LSPD, LSSD, BCSO, FIB, SAHP, IAA, and other agencies. So far am I at 197 lines. This means that when you arrest suspects cops won't cuss ... as much. If someone is skilled with the LSPDFR API they can set the audio so the officers of various agencies can ID themselves with said agency.

What's New in Version 2.0

Released

Hello again everyone! Hopefully this will be good news for you!

Thanks to your support and encouragement we've completed a nice update that I think will make it safe to take this project out of alpha. We've fixed the reported bugs that @FTW Flamez and other awesome people, like you, have helped spot.

Some more announcements!

The stand-alone Default Replacer Folder has been updated. If you are NEW to LSPDFR

or you have a VANILLA version of LSPDFR  the Default Replacer Folder will replace the dispatcher's audio.

IF you are using multiple call out packs, please be aware you may or may not have a uniformed experience as the different call out packs store their audio in different locations. This means the our new audio will mix and mash with your call outs. Call out developers are more than welcome to use this audio (that's what we made it for 🙂 )

Developers: PLEASE credit Cari Scholtens when you use this audio elsewhere. She's a voice actress that was featured in Mass Effect and she's donated her time to help improve LSPDFR. Crediting me is optional I'm just your humble audio tinkerer (noob audio engineer)

Here's what's new!

Fire Department Units have been added

There are now 33 new fire new fire department units for developers to select.

Engines, Ladder Trucks (called Trucks), and Rescue units. Fun fact these are based on Los Angela's Fire Dept. Battalion 1

Streets ... a lot of streets ... have been added to the streets folder.

264 files have been added to help provide you with an immersive LSPDFR experience

HUGE THANKS TO @bjonesy05994, this author's Street Name Addon helped with the research.

A new call has been added! MVA with entrapment.

It can be located in the Expanded Law Enforcement File and Fire Department Calls folder

Though we crushed some bugs some may still be present. (Hopefully not)

A bug that is out of my control at this time is the fact audio may change during a pursuit. I have no idea what causes it.

Areas files have been fixed.

Car model files have been fixed.

Standard LEO files in Replacer Folder have been fixed as well.

That's all folks! I hope this audio project will help expand call out capabilities ...

(psst! If you're good with coding and have a lot of free time DM/PM me)

Hey everyone! Thank you for your patience and kindness.

So two files have been added. A Default Scanner Replacer for those using vanilla LSDPFR without call out plugins installed. For those with call out plugins installed this is not recommended for your use as your different call out plugins will mix and match the vanilla dispatcher with the new one.

So what's new? ... ALOT

The Update Pack has all kinds of goodies for call out developers!

103 calls in the "Expanded Law Enforcement Calls" file

  1. Bomb threat
  2. Bomb detonation
  3. Train Derailed
  4. Car Stuck on Tracks
  5. Secure Scene for Medical Services
  6. Foot Pursuit in Progress
  7. Sniper
  8. Hostage Situation
  9. VIP Motorcade Escort
  10. Union Depository Alarm Activated
  11. And so much more for you to explore!

Some of the calls can be used by other services too!

24 calls in the "Fire Department Calls" file

  1. Cat Stuck in Tree
  2. Plane Crash
  3. Medical Service Requested
  4. Emergency Landing at Los Santos International
  5. Brush Fire
  6. Wild Fire
  7. Oil Spill
  8. Vehicle Accident with Entrapment
  9. Boat on Fire
  10. Rescue Diver Requested

There's a couple of more goodies in there for you.

9 calls in the "Medical Calls" file

  1. Heart Attack
  2. Officers Need Medical Aid
  3. Support Firefighters (when fighting large fires. EMS may accompany fire fighters to the scene to make sure they're doing good.)
  4. Dead body found (or is it? could be a drunk you know? But you're the paramedic so .. your call)
  5. Vague medical call out to cover multitude of medical situations.

14 calls in the "Military Calls" file

  1. Enemy Units Spotted
  2. Unresponsive Aircraft
  3. Federal Agency Requesting Help
  4. Prison Riot
  5. Riot Control
  6. Security Breach
  7. High Scale Crime
  8. Hijacked vehicles ... and you got it! A few more things in there for call out developers to use.

13 calls in the "USCG Calls" file along with 4 audio files to address USCG players.

  1. Oil Spill
  2. Federal Agency Request Surveillance in an area for suspicious activity
  3. Boat on fire
  4. Vessel Dead in the Water
  5. Aircraft Declaring an Emergency
  6. EPIRB Activation (it's a little device that when water hits it the USCG will know about it. It's a IRL thing)
  7. PLB Activation (PLB works like an EPIRB except a PLB is registered to a person whereas the EPIRB is registered to a ship)
  8. So there's a few more items in this folder but these things are vague enough to fit situations.

Potential issues- Some audio (hopefully none) may be clipped short. If you encounter this just let me know the audio file and I'll have it fixed quick fast and in a hurry. Other than that there should be NO PROBLEMS.

If you can make the descriptions like male and female since I was not able to find one in the file provided. though this is a great start to getting rid of the boring dispatcher stock

You missed 7 audio files in AREAS folder, not sure which ones though

Please keep working on this mod. I see potential for this. It's about time someone released a refreshed and updated dispatcher voice.

Your voice acting is great. Can't wait to see this evolve further.

As far as this dispatcher audio goes it's all done by the Marvelous Cari Sholtens. So all the audio other than what's in the (General Scanner Audio) is all female. I don't have male or female (yet).

Well shoot. I'll go back and take a look.  Now, fair warning, I think I missed some car models but I couldn't figure out what they were; so we recorded what we could but the vehicle categories.

Hey thank you. I'll let Cari know about your compliment. She's the professional in the group 🙂 I'm just the audio tinkerer.

Great job hope to see it grow to include callouts audio also, not just regular lspdfr ones.

These are great! Been working with him for a couple months now and have used them for as long. They are great and a must have for devs making plugins.

I'm hoping on replacing the existing callout packs audio files with these. but I would need these to be converted from that boring standard dispatcher to this revamped one.

Heck yeah it is! I'll do more research into fire departments to see if I can come up with some more calls.

Talking about those locations? I'm up to 13 that need to be recorded and I'm still looking.

@skyred50 I'm doing some digging into the missing files and I'm seeing what I missed. However some of the missing files are just duplicate files that I didn't include as I didn't see the point in having two files that said the exact same thing.
