Version 1.0.3 Update:

Fixed the Vehicle so lights work with AI (Thank you to LSPDFR User @frienno for the how to)

Fixed the vehicle so the doors now work properly (Thank you to LSPDFR user @Elope for the how to)

Fixed the vehicle doors so they open properly without making the truck bounce.

(As of this Version NO KNOWN issues). If you find any please leave them in the comments for me to investigate.

Hello Everybody,

So I started to notice with @Albo1125 new update to his Arrest Manager script that when I was towing vehicles away it was making more use of the Flatbed Tow Truck instead of the regular tow truck. So I decided to make a Ford Flatbed Tow Truck so I could have another custom truck to match with my other Tow Truck model.

So I bring to you a 2008 Ford F-550 Flatbed Tow Truck with a 4k Livery for AAA Tow Trucks that is setup for ELS and makes use of the ELS Arrowboard Function. I've included TWO versions of the model. I've included an AI version that leaves the board in the standing position (As AI tow's don't flip up the board and utilize it with ELS) and Human Version which is the one you can see in the demo video below.

*NOTE*

If you find any other issues other than the known issues please leave them in the comments section below so I may address them.

-What this file comes with-

- AI Version (The board is already in the up position as AI don't utilize the Arrow Board Function of ELS)

- AI Version without the Arrow Board (In case you don't like it).

- Human Version (This one is in the demo video below. It is setup to utilize the Arrow Board Function but will not work unless you are driving the Truck)

- My ELS File Setup for the vehicle so that the Arrow board Works properly.

- A Template so YOU TO Can Create Your Own Liveries or To Add to this one

- 4K Livery that is on the vehicle already assigned

~~-Known Issues-~~

-Doors do not open. You simply just pop out and back in when entering and exiting the truck. Fix is unknown at this point. If you know send me a PM and i'll address it. I don't know how much I'll pursue fixing it as I usually just call for a tow truck rather than operate it so the driver doesn't get out anyways to where it won't bother me.

If you did then you probably did it right. If you change the values and find something better please let me know and I'll add it to the file.

No I believe that is just a model as well so this would not be the case.

All good I know its not everyone's cup of tea me included (Although I'm tending to like it more and more as I see). Thats why I included the suggestion of non board as well :)

This is for anyone with problem of car floating or sitting off edge of the bed. This is the best position I came up with...had to play with some Cartesian coordinate points :smile: .

Love this truck but wondering if Anyone else is having issues with the lights not working when the AI comes to tow a vehicle? The lights do work if I'm driving the vehicle but are never on when the AI is towing a vehicle. I didn't run into this issue with the other ELS tow truck with the hook. Just curious if there's a line or something I missed. Other than that, love the model! Been waiting for a flat bed for a looong time!

It wasn't working for me at first because I was putting the ELS.xml in the ELS folder, :smile: make sure you follow this path GTA V-----ELS -----Pack_default (inside els folder). If you don't do that you will have a solid light, no flashing...hope it helps. Indeed it is a nice truck.

i think thats because arrrest manager is nit set for els tow truck

After finally searching I found it. This is the truck (ELS) I

previously used with Arrest Manager and after I would call for it, it would automatically show up and leave with the car with the lights on. I know Arrest Manager is ELS compatible because my prisoner transport and coroner vehicles are also ELS based and also have their lights going upon arriving

Question:

Im having trouble actually entering the vehicle to drive it. I installed each correctly and still cant enter the vehicle.

Anyone else having that issue?

Yes i installed the vehicle correctly and I tried each file (ie the human control, the AI control files also).

Could someone help me..

I have two questions: 1. how the i use the ELS Arrowboard Function? the ELS-readme says; Alt + [ but nothing happens. 2. Why cant i enter the truck, when i press F?

AI does not use the lightbar at all when towing.

Make sure you do the update to albos script to prevent that. It is in the instructions.

Can you not get in at all? Or is it you just pop in when you press f? If you just pop in pressing f that is a known issue right now that i do not know how to resolve.

@Thero doors don't open, lightbar doesn't work for AI... kind of a dealbreaker. I have another ELS tow truck managed by Arrest Manager and it works fine so it's something with your model I'd have to assume.

To enable ai usage when using arrest manager, you must change the following. Using open iv navigate to /mods/update/update.rpf/x64/data/carvariations.ymt . Enable edit mode and edit the file. Find the entry for the FLATBED model and change its sirensettings from 0 to 1.

Thank you as i had no idea how to do this. Someone else pointed out the door enter and exit as well so expect an update in the coming days to address these two items.
