Easy Loadout 1.10.1.59

(12 reviews)

2 Screenshots

This plugin is no longer maintained. As with anything that I released, it is open source so if it isn't working and you're a mod dev and want to update it... feel free!

You Can Find An Updated Version Here. Special thanks to @HazyTube For Keeping The Plugin Alive!

Why Abandon it?!

Since I have graduated from college and have moved onto starting my career I am choosing to put modding behind me. It was a blast and I learned a lot from it (And this project actually helped me land a job!) but with little free time anymore I'd rather spend it playing games than developing mods for those games. Thanks to all of you who downloaded this mod, seeing so many people enjoy it and being able to develop something that many have referred to as being a critical part of their play session is truly awesome.

Thanks for the fun times!

This plugin allows you to define several different loadouts that you can quickly and easily use while on duty. I made this with the goal of eliminating the long process of giving appropriate weapons after going on duty. This has an easy to use menu that you can use to swap between Loadouts and set which one is active, as well as a quick keybind to refresh your loadout!

Note For Update v1.5: This plugin now requires RageNativeUI! You likely already have it, but if not you can find it here! (Easy Loadout was developed and tested on version 1.6.3 of RageNatuveUI)

Note: As of 1.10.1 I've removed a lot of comments in my config files as I found them to just add to the confusion. I've made a wiki page that has all weapon components that can be found here aswell as a general page that will be updated to contain any other various information about the plugin that can be found here.

This project is an open source project, anyone is welcome to editing it I just ask that you give me credit if you release it. The source code can be found here.

What's New in Version 1.10.1.59

Released

Thank you all for the feedback!

Version 1.10.1.59

Changelog;

  • Reworked how boolean options (True/False) are read-in from config files so the plugin will not crash LSPDFR if there is a spelling mistake (Thanks Television78 for bringing this issue to my attention!)
  • Added debug logging, which when enabled, will add additional logging to most functions of the plugin to make finding where the plugin is failing easier.
  • Converted majority of logging to be DebugLogs as to lower the amount of logging going on when it isn't needed in a non-debugging scenario.
  • Updated RPH SDK Dependent Version from 0.61.1204.14469 to 0.62.1216.14731.

Version 1.10.1.33

Changelog;

  • Added user-customizable multi-loadout support now allowing you to add more than the base 3 loadouts.
  • Reworked and added additional error checking and value defaulting to combat plugin crashes if a config is incorrect.
  • Reworked updater so it will account for a plugin reporting a newer version than what's on my GitHub repo aswell as if the user isn't able to download the version (IE no internet)
  • Changed Default Loadout to correspond to the Loadout Number as defined in the main .ini file.
  • Removed a lot of the comments in all config files, created a wiki for component strings aswell as eventually will have other information about the plugin added. This can be found here

Is there any chance you can code something which allows you to Set either Class 1/2/3 as a default class that automatically spawns/loads when you go on duty with LSPDFR similar to 'On duty loadouts' plugin (which spawns a set loadout automatically) rather than fathing around with menus. something like default class=1/2/3 or default class=none/0

Update I see you have no read this and implemented it i'm editing your INI as we speak and it's pending Patrol duty with this, I've used ODloadouts for a long time now and it looks like you've just changed that. also, i do have some other suggestion if your willing to hear let me know @sr7066

yes il review once ive used it and can point out the Pros and if any cons aswell. thanks for listening and your hard work lkeep it up

Sorry about no reply. As to your issue, only thing I could think of is if you're on an old patch it could be trying to add a weapon that doesn't exist. Beyond that, without seeing crashlogs I haven't the slightest idea.

Are you planning on adding the Doomsday Mk2's? Starting to miss my shotgun.

Didn't know weapons were added (Been away from GTA). I'll look into seeing if I can find the strings for them and add them hopefully by the latest this weekend.

For some reason in my loadout, I keep getting the combat pistol instead of the normal pistol. It's not a huge problem, but I have the normal pistol on "true" and the combat pistol on "false" in the ini. Any ideas?

Glad you got it working! Trying to figure out a method I can use to make my configs not so much of a mess and a giant file to prevent this sort of thing. Sorry about that :p

Hmmm, not sure. Thought I had tested all weapons to ensure they're working but I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what's going on.

EDIT: OK, so I've tested this and have been able to get pistol to work fine. Any chance you could copy me the pistol section of the loadout you're having this issue with? This is the behavior that happens if an invalid input is put in (If true/false isn't put into the ini, CP will default to true and Pistol will default to false).

Wait, was I supposed to keep the original Loadout+ folder and .dll? I tried copy and pasting the configs into the Loadout+ folder, and it worked. I deleted it because I thought it wouldn't be needed anymore because of EasyLoadout, but if I was supposed to keep it that was my bad. Although it crashes LSPDFR when I load it up. I'll just spawn in the Pistol, it's not a big deal.

Nope, as of 1.9.2 it should be using EasyLodout directory. What version are you currently running? And you made sure you've deleted any old LoadoutPlus.dll's that may exist?

I installed 1.10.1 to see if it would help, but it didn’t. Every time I use EasyLoadout, I look in my Plugins Folder and the LoadoutPlus Folder keeps coming back with the Configs Folder in it, when I open up the configs nothing is on the ini’s. I deleted theLoadoutPlus .dll already too and no luck.

That is very odd, cause the plugin no longer has any relation or involvement with Loadout+/LoadoutPlus directories. You by any chance able to take a screenshot of your LSPDFR plugins folder (GTA/Plugins/LSPDFR)?

Oh my god I just saw the LoadoutPlus.dll when I looked through it again, I feel so stupid, I'm sorry for wasting your time. I honestly thought I deleted the LoadoutPlus.dll when it came out and every time I looked I never saw it. I'm really sorry for this. Next time I'll look over my files thoroughly.

E: Feeling a little silly, saw FTMs comment and that was the issue.

Heya there! Is there any possibility of having more customization added? More specifically, I would love a flashlight on my pistol, but don't know how to get one. If it's already in and I'm just having trouble finding it, I'd really appreciate any help.

I'm having another problem with this again. Every time I try to use Loadout 2 it crashes and I don't know why. Can you maybe look over my loadout and see if you can find out why it's crashing? If not it's ok.

Loadout 2.txt

Sorry for the late reply, college life is hectic.

You able to give me a crashlog when it occurs? I don't have a LSPDFR install setup so not able to quickly check. But I'll look over your config tomorrow and see if I can spot anything.

EDIT: Though, will say  if there is anything incorrect in the config itself it shouldn't have any issues at all as it'll fall back to a default value if the exact string it's looking for isn't found. If that is the name of the file  you have in the loadout folder, that is going to be the cause as it's a .txt and not an .ini which is what Easy Loadout looks for. But I'll work on getting an install setup tonight and try to find the cause if you haven't found it already.

EDIT2: Alright, ignore what I said. Seems if you have true/false mistyped it will cause a crash even though I had thought it didn't in prior testing. In your config you have AttachFlashlightToAll set to flase instead of false which is the cause. I'll work on implementing some more thorough error checking to make sure this doesn't crash the plugin/entirety of LSPDFR. Sorry about that!

If installed correctly, the plugin should automatically load when you go on-duty in LSPDFR.

My load out seems to disappear.  This may because the vehicles.meta has a certain load out granted to the player when they enter a specific vehicle.  What do you think?

Does it disappear entirely? Or just adds a weapon to it? Haven't tested with any vehicle that adds items to you (Honestly forgot that was a thing) so not entirely sure how that works but I can take a look at it and see if there's anything I can do to address it.

It definitely isn't adding any weapons.  I have MK2 Carbine, MK2 Pistol, Flares, Stun Gun, and Baton in the Loadout config ini file.  They all disappear and get replaced by the pistol, carbine, and shotgun it seems.

Unless I am loading up in the wrong order?  Although it does not seem to matter if I select an EUP uniform BEFORE or AFTER I "force duty" through the rage console.

Hmmm, so when does this happen? When you enter into a certain vehicle? And EUP shouldn't do anything beyond possibly remove attachments from weapons. But pretty sure that only happens if you switch to a MP ped through EUP after you've given a loadout.
