Modding DLC Pack V allows for a simplified installation process of peds, weapons, vehicles and meta file entries - both for addons and replacements.

 

After installing the Modding DLC Pack V OIV file, you can do the following, all from one central folder:

  • Install unlimited addon/replacement peds and addon peds.meta entries;
  • Install replacement weapons;
  • Install unlimited addon/replacement vehicles including support for vehicles.meta, carvariations.meta and handling.meta;
  • Add custom names to your (addon) vehicles;
  • Easily restore all of the above after a GTA 5 update.

 

Please ensure to carefully read the supplied README.pdf file for tutorials and guides on how to do all of the above. I have also done a video tutorial series (see above) showing how to perform all of the above properly.

Released

1.2 - (Fixed corrupted OIV file). Gameconfig: GTA5 1.0.1290.1.

No changes in the DLC pack itself. If you already have this installed, you do not need to update.

@HerrSkorpion As far as I know, it doesn't need to be updated for 1103. I've installed cars using it, and I haven't witnessed any obvious issues as of yet.

 

Hey there, all. I was just wondering if this mod also covers the installation of the upgrade files (such as the upgrades you can get from Los Santos Customs), or if one still needs to follow the original method for the installation of these files. Great mod, Albo!

So before the updates in regards to GTA, RPH, and OpenIV situation, I could perfectly spawn my add-on vehicles with no hassle. Now, whenever I try to spawn any of my add-on vehicles, I get an error message on the RPH command stating: "Invalid call to console command "Spawn": Cannot load invalid model with hash *whatever the pertaining hash to the vehicle*"

 

Is there anything that may  be caused by any of the new updates?

 

All of my files in OpenIV, GTA, and RPH are all updated

I'm having this issue as well and can't seem to figure out why. It's only addon vehicles that aren't working

Please carefully follow the included documentation section on how you should update your modding dlc pack if you update your gta.

@Albo1125 thank you for the mod! Works like a charm! The only issue I'm having is trying to figure out how to bring in custom siren settings in a carcols file. Any suggestions? I placed a carcols file with the new siren settings in the correct directory relative to the other dlc packs, but no luck in-game. Siren sounds, but the lights don't work as they should.

I have tried to follow the instructions as precisely as possible, but still cant spawn my new fbi3 or towtruck2 cars. 

(I get my new towtruck2 when I order it through the radio though)
Are there any well known rookie-mistakes? ;) I'm obviously not doing it right.  I appreciate all the help I can get.

Yes, I'm typing spawn fbi3. I must have made a typo in my add-on vehicles.meta. 

It's so much easier just to replace cars. But I really find this mod useful for all the extra cars one can add. 

I'll follow your advice, thx again.

Sorry about the mix up, i tried to edit my post but im not sure why it quoted to someone else. then double quoted again. Anyway, Just look over your meta, everything has to be exact or it will mess up. And this modd is very useful for making addon vehicles or replacement.  I like it bc you can simply make any vehicle a addon. After you do a few, it will get really easy.

 

Also, when you find the problem please report back, it may help someone else in the future

I got it working! Thanks for the kick in the rear. My problem was that I had edited another veehicles.meta (before this using mod)

\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5\vehicles.meta

There I and added FBI3 and some

other cars. 
And that didnt work at all, but after I removed my fbi3 in that file I could spawn it by typing fbi3. Thanks for the help! Now I can really enjoy this mod :)

When I use the name police8 on my ytd and ytf files added to my vehicles.rpf file the game won't load. When I remove those files those very same police8 files or rename them to sheriff.ytd and ytf game loads fine all cars work. In my vehicles.meta and carvariations.metafile I use the template just like your readme says. Can you help what am I missing? I have this same issue with two different els vehicles that I have tried and I'm not sure where to look for a log to see what the error is.

I don't see a police8 in those files... but you do have police6 twice in carvariations.

 

Do you have a modded gameconfig?

I fixed the duplicates and added the police8 back still having the same issue.
