Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released June 28, 20241 yr

Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

uninstalled and reinstalled several times, both versions...advancedhook and scripthook all installed....only taillights flash....i know im not the only person to have this problem reading through the comments but i havent found any fixes yet...

FIXED!

Go into OpenIV and go to tools - asi manager....uninstall BOTH the asi loader AND the openiv asi..... then reinstall them both.....YOU MUST RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AFTER THIS..... problem solved

Hey, sorry if this has been asked already but I wasn't able to find an answer.

Having AllowController set to true in my ELS.ini causes crashes at various points and I can't get on duty without a crash. I use a Dualshock 4 controller with DS4 windows running, which works great for the rest of the game. Is this a known issue? If not, I'm happy to provide a log file :)

Maybe someone can answer this, on some cars when i turn on ELS light stages, the Push bar and other items appear and disappear rapidly

Sounds to me like incorrect config file. Did you use the .xml that came with the car? And it is named [CARMODEL].xml?

Is there a way to turn off head light/tail light flashers? I HATE them..ive gone into ELS config but i cant figure it out

Is there a way to increase the amount of VCF's ELS can load in one game session? Cause looking at the els.log file, it appears to only load some of them, and never attempts to load the rest. Any fixes to this? (log file included in post)

I have been using ELS for a couple of months now and I noticed that pressing E to honk the horn no longer has the stopped vehicle finding a new pull-over location. I assume this is due to ELS. Is the only way around this to take advantage of "mimic me" or "follow me?"

I'm not sure what has happened as I never had this problem until the latest update. After reinstalling my mods this happens on all NON ELS vehicles! ELS Vehicles are working fine?

@Lt.Caine Hey Caine, so many comments here that I'm not sure if that has been answered as it is not in your documentation PDF's:

Do I really need to restart GTA V every time I make changes to one of my VCF files?

Second thing, it's a feature request:

Could you PLEASE add in your ini file a way of adding cars to your ElsTrafCtrlOn feature? So that for e.g. police7, a new added car to the game can use it? That would be awesome, thanks!

Hey, so I've come across something weird today.

I played gta and suddenly my antivirus programm pops up and tells me that it found a trojan. I was kinda suprised since it said it was from the AdvancedHookV.dll.

I'm not really sure what to think of this. Is my antivirus freaking out? Since it found the suspected trojan I'm not able to move the file into my gta root anymore which means that my ELS is not working anymore either. Does someone know how to help me outta this? As I said I don't necessarily think that it indeed is a virus, I'm just looking for help on this one.

I would just set your antivirus program to IGNORE this file. It's probably a false positive.

the lights on my cars dont work, even though but i have all the vcfs and advanced hook, i also have tried reinstalling with no luck.

me els log looks fine, however

Hello , I installed NYPD cars , my lights are bugging , they don't spin like they should , but instead they flash and a strange texture appears. What do I need to change in the els files in order to fix it? These are the cars that I am using.:

Looks like you need to change your sirensetting to 13 for the carvariations file slot for this model.

Just a quick question. Since the last update ELS won't work for me. Does something have to be updated? Any help anybody

FIXED: Just like MCP said on the top (which I overlooked before posting) it works now.
