Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

I resolved my issue of not being able to bring up the ELS console or getting any of the lights to work. I resolved it by accident guys! I think what helped is when I replaced the dlls by downloading and installing another mod: ScriptHookV.dll.

Already tried that. Tried old ones and new ones. Still no luck.

THIS WORKED FOR ME, just re-downloaded and re-installed ScriptHook and it resolved the problem.  Thanks!

when im in my fbi slot i turn on my diren to scan mode then it freezes. only happens to me in that slot? not sure if its els or the car?

Hello guys,

 

I have a little problem. When i'm pressing CTRL + P the menu won't show. I just know ELS is installed correctly and when i'm press E in my policecar the lights won't go on, so that indicates that it's installed correctly.

 

I installed it a second time and I installed scripthook also a second time. I've also changed 80 in els.ini to 77, to see of that worked.. but with no result..

 

What is the problem here? Thanks in advance.

I had same issue and I had to replace scripthookv.dll from another mod. I found this by accident. The mod didn't include the files. I had to download from script hook website but I forget which mod suggested I download it.

I fixed my own problem now..

 

Apparently my ELS was keylocked, I didn't saw the small sized phrase in the bottom-right corner. So when I unlocked it, it worked.

    yes it is, but it depend on what VCF and lighting setup that the author create

    this may have been asked and answered, if so I havent seen the post. Is it possible to change out the sirens that are defaulted with ELS? So I had siren mastery before els, and I dont want to loose els. However I have an addiction to the rumbler siren and would love to get it in ELS. any info on this would be great!

    siren that is customize for siren mastery doesn't work with els

    Els used the siren in RESIDENT.RPF which is game siren.

    You can download Improve Spotlight thing by @GravelRoadCop and it include modern siren beta 1.2 you can used that with els

    There is on major  bug. You may have to do something like if  car x is grabbed for stop then release car x from moving over and carx is  stopped (yeah I know  programming) .  Because when I  stop a car they ram into  stuff. and whenever they flee,  while its funny the first time and its semi-realistic it's not all the time.  They are  acting  as regular car moving over and a car on the run.  When this is fixed I will rate this mod  5/5.  It is a good  mod  just need a bit more to be perfect. Thank you for you time in doing this.

    The only issue that I'm having is with AI. They seem to be either code 3 or nothing. Sometimes they don't even switch off after the callout is finished. They just stay code 3 driving around normally. I just switched my files around and made the ELS cars addon vehicles, which I drive, and made the replacement vehicles have normal lighting.

    Hey, so I've read through most all of the previous comments and still can't figure this out. When launching GTA V, Ragehook or not, nothing happens. Scroll lock, CTRL+P, J, K, L, nothing. However, the sirens work and the brake lights flash, as when using a normal police vehicle.  In the ELS.txt, it recognizes both models I'm trying to use and says they loaded, but in the asiloader.txt, it says that "ELS.asi" failed to load". Any ideas?

    So has anyone noticed that if you change siren tones behind a fleeing suspect they just drive straight?? Its like the siren keys are canceling out the AI's driving pursuit path.

    In the ELS ini, change "trafcontrol" or whatever to false.

     

    My wish list for the future is being able to activate the siren in phase 1 or 2 of light setting.

    That kinda sucks. I like the traffic management system in ELS. Oh well...

    I don't know what you like it about it. :P Ever since installing ELS, AI has been f*cking weird.  I have an LSPDFR vid going up on YT that shows this really strange bug where an AI randomly appeared back in their car, and "drove off" a bridge with a divider.

    anybody having a issue using a controller with els? im having major issues i cant turn on the lights or the sirens through the dpad but blackout works thats about it. If anybody has an idea please let me know.

    FIXED IT.

    I installed ELS v1.00 and it worked. Not the ELS folder, just the 3 other files. Then, out of pure curiosity, I installed ELS v1.05 and it didn't work. So for some odd reason, my installation of GTA V v1.944.2, is only compatible with ELS v1.00

    please forgive my noob-ness.......I'm new to ELS...a recent model I downloaded required ELS so I installed that as well..It's awesome buuttttttt some of my regular default vehicles either have a lightbar or don't.....I read elsewhere that I have to change the specific vehicle that is non-els to "active = 0" but I can't seem to figure out where to do it. My ELS.ini file doesn't have anything other than controls and what not in it....any help would be greatly appreicated
