Finally I've got a proper lightbar on this model! ..and rear interior LEDs 

(Now you can replace it with police2 or police3)

MAJOR credit to @Thero & @ALLENjr12, this model would still be at 0.9.3 if it weren't for them!

Different Version of the LSPD Livery:

Replaces: 

  • Police2 or Police3 

To replace a different police car rename the yft + ytd files to the desired car (eg: for sheriff2 "police2+hi.ytd"->"sheriff2+hi.ytd")

Installation:

  1. Open OpenIV and go to: GTA V\(mods)\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf
  2. Make sure you are on "Edit Mode"
  3. Drag all the contents from the "Files"  into OpenIV


Spawn:

  • 2rd Car when going on Duty (LSPDFR)
  • Spawn: "Police2" with any trainer 
  • You will see this Audi being driven by IA cops around los santos, spawn parked in certain police stations and will provide backup for when requesting "Local Patrol Unit" backup in Los Santos.

What's New in Version 0.9.65

Released

No improvements made to the car, I just added a way to replace the police3 slot instead of police2

(you just need a carvariations.meta file, all details in the read me)

    Yes lose the rims, and I would recommend using a different lightbar

    Far as i know, remove the left front rim in zmodeler and import a rim to your liking. I don't know if you have to create new dummy's for the other 3 rims or if they just mimic the main node. Also, try using the lightbar from the police raptor (Unlocked)

    Why nobody likes those rims? IIRC it's default FBI rims even from GTAIV. They look pretty simple and cool.

    I did, thanks for the help. I changed it to fit the template you gave me (which fixes the bumper and roof not being changeable)

    I'm just having that problem you mentioned where I have to change the color for the livery to appear visibly, I can't seem to find the carvariations file for police3?

    If you (or anyone) could tell me where/how  I can change this, I'll update the model and then start working on more liveries.

    I think the car variations for police3 is under mpheist but could be wrong. Try finding someone else's model on here that uses police3 and it should describe it. If you download the Prius I made it should be in the instructions

    All carvariations entries are merged anyway. There is no difference where to place em, mpheist or mpchristmas etc. I guess later dlc overwrites previous not only with vehicle model files, but even with meta files, no matter where they're located (the main thing is finding suitable dlc archives though). I use mpchristmas for carvariations for all police vehicles and never have problems with it.

    I think 1.0 version is just planned, not released or even made.

    You have done really well. You have stuck at this and I know it ain't been easy, yet you've continued to go on and improve so much from the first upload. I think the car itself looks well and despite not being a much vanilla style vehicle, the textures you have created make it blend in with the surroundings whilst in game that little bit better.

    If I was to add any suggestions:

    -  the addition of an unmarked version to go with the pack would be massive

    -  I would also adjust the 'pursuit livery' by removing highway patrol and concentrate that particular texture on being an 'Audi Pursuit Demo' vehicle.

    -  I would then create a further highway patrol texture, to include the HWP logo and star, and add ANPR/ALPR and interceptor logo's as well. Even if the car remained all white with the HWP logo on front doors, bonnet(hood) and boot(trunk), I think would look good.

    However these are just my thoughts, I'm just grateful you have brought this to us all.
