[STANDALONE] Vapid Speedo Coroner van by Småen 0.2c

The brand new Vapid Speedo is now available at a download site near you! Pick up dead people in this new van fitted with a lightbar on the roof!

This mod adds a Coroner Speedo with a lightbar on the roof.

There is currently one livery for the van as seen in the pictures. If you wish to have another, you can easily replace it using OpenIV

The warning lights on the roof works as intended and flashes amber. There is no audible sirens.

To use this vehicle in-game, use a trainer that allows to to spawn by vehicle name OR use the RAGE Plugin console and type 'spawn corspeedo'

Installation can be a bit tricky if you don't know what to do, but don't be afraid to try it.

Readme file included with instructions for:

Simple install. Replace old files with included ones from this mod.
Advanced install. If you have other addon vehicles or otherwise modified vehicles.meta or carvariations.meta (located at mpluxe2), use this one.

The Speedo Coroner van is also compatible with my other Boxville Coroner van if you use the compatible files included with that mod.

Now when I hit rebuild what do I do next?? Window pops up with the dlc.rpf for lux2

Rebuild is unnecessary... I'd skip that.

open RPH console (F4) and type 'spawn corspeedo'.

if that doesn't work, it isn't installed correctly. You have to change it in the PoliceRadio.ini also.

changed it to the CORSPEEDO and lspdfr crashes everytime i try to call them to the scene.

Well i did something wrong because when I try to spawn it in, it says its not as vehicle model. I see the model by clicking the yft files in open iv so its something else.

If you follow the readme exactly, it should work, although as I said a rebuild isn't necessary, but I've done it and it didn't seem to hurt anything,

I got it, the variation and meta files were never replaced. Could have sworn I did it but it was 2 or 3 in the morning when I was adding the mod so I was probably just tired. Thanks for your help kilyin

Great mod, but you should add in the readme that you need to edit the PoliceRadio ini file to make it so the corspeedo is the one that responds to the coroner call. I only found out from reading the comments.

In order for me to use this with police radio do i need to change the coroner van in policeradio ini? Or do i just leave it alone?

I need some help.

I love the mod. But when I use police radio now, it lists the car type as random digits and numbers such as "0x34387b89". I had reinstalled GTA and could only replicate the problem after installing the mod. Admittedly, installing with your instructions was not working, so I deleted and replaced the carvariations.meta to get the mod to work.

Could you help me or provide me with a carvariations.meta that works properly?

Hi i have tried everything as stated in the readme but whenever i try to spawn corspeedo lspdfr crashes.

Do I need to add the included files into my mods folder with x64e?

Please help at this point im just using a black speedo van

Hey guys,

Everytime I try to spawn it it says invalid model, i even went through the ragehook console, got the option to finish the command with tab (meaning it knows the car is there) but when I press enter it says "cannot load an invalid model"

I haven't updated the mod since September and I have to say I'm a bit surprised it still works. Advanced installation should solve compatibility issues as long as Rockstar doesn't change how vehicles work.

It doesn't change or replace anything. It is a standalone vehicle.

You can edit the .ini file from Finkones radio to choose what to spawn. Change from Speedo to Corspeedo to use this.

Is it possible to have the template for the van? I'm using a Newark PD pack and I'd like to edit the skin to make it fit with the other vehicles

Unfortunately, there is no template for it. There never was one either.

You can try to skin it without. Shouldn't be too hard. Good luck.

Awesome work! Only problem is the windows not working properly (bullets just go through without damaging). If you could fix that this would be perfect! Or just add a black tint to the back windows so people can't see in.

For some reason the lightbar shows up on the car but doesn't actually light up. I know that I installed correctly because I am fairly experienced in this matter, but the lightbar will not light up. Can you please help me? Thank you!
