The brand new Vapid Speedo is now available at a download site near you! Pick up dead people in this new van fitted with a lightbar on the roof!

This mod adds a Coroner Speedo with a lightbar on the roof.

There is currently one livery for the van as seen in the pictures. If you wish to have another, you can easily replace it using OpenIV

The warning lights on the roof works as intended and flashes amber. There is no audible sirens.

To use this vehicle in-game, use a trainer that allows to to spawn by vehicle name OR use the RAGE Plugin console and type 'spawn corspeedo'

 

Installation can be a bit tricky if you don't know what to do, but don't be afraid to try it.

Readme file included with instructions for:

  • Simple install. Replace old files with included ones from this mod.
  • Advanced install. If you have other addon vehicles or otherwise modified vehicles.meta or carvariations.meta (located at mpluxe2), use this one.

 

The Speedo Coroner van is also compatible with my other Boxville Coroner van if you use the compatible files included with that mod.

    Nice concept idea, personally I use the ambulance in place of a coroner van, more realistic to have EMS come first before the coroner.

    I'm hoping to add the lightbars from the police Staniers in amber. Would be cool to be able to choose between a LED bar and a old fashion halogen bar.

    Currently, I have no plans on making/editing anything else in ZModeler. It's is a horrible program that only works 20% of the time. Waiting for an alternative.

    Those pictures clearly show that the livery says "Departmen" of Coroner, not "Department" - that being said once you fix it I will definitely use this skin. :D

    Oh crap. I haven't noticed that! I will fix it ASAP! I have no idea how I missed that!

    not sure what im doing wrong. I followed the advanced directions and it is spawning in but with a white paint job. the sirens and all that work but the livery isnt showing up.

    Are you using version 0.1? Livery was added in 0.2.

    If you're using 0.1 the van will spawn in normal colours.

    Darn I was, Can I just replace the ytd and ytf files in the .2 version and keep my edits to the vehicle.meta and carvarations intact?

    ps. The Advanced instructions still list it as 0.1 instead of the correct version.

    Only the .ytd and .ytf are changed, so yes, you can keep the .meta files you have.

    Forgot to change the version number in 0.2 and 0.2b. Will remember this next time. It's still the exact same files.

    Somehow for me the livery also doesnt show up like for Azulanze but iam using the 0.2b files.

    If so, I have uploaded the wrong version. Will fix this when I get home in a couple of hours.

    Love how you write your readme files, with all "Step 1" and "DO NOT COPY" lines, so even a moron like me cannot mess up (however I did once lol while editing vehicles.meta :D) And love your car in game. Thanks.

    It's a text file, you can use Notepad, Notepad++, etc

    I would guess you missed the carvariations.meta

    This is the file than contains the properties of the lightbar.

    Yep, I have followed all steps that I could and the lightbar is still not illuminating.

    I have an improved trains mod that also uses the same file, it could be that - I will add the corspeedo to the carvariations meta manually I think.

    GREAT MOD, the only thing the van needs is tinted windows, at least on the back, like they do in real life. Otherwise A+ I LOVE IT!

    Correct, and don't forget the other .meta files. This mod does not replace anything, it's an addon vehicle.
