South Carolina Department of Public Safety Mega Pack

by Othrin

Around two years ago, I was inspired to create a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria to the tune of the South Carolina Highway patrol. It was a crappy model and texture and needed a lot of work. Now that I have the exact specs of the Highway patrol, and the rest of the Department of Public Safety, I have decided to work hard to make a pack containing a ton of vehicles from four agencies from the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.

Firstly, let me explain what each department does;

South Carolina Highway Patrol

"Provides equitable service and protection, and upholds the laws of the constitutions of the United States and the State of South Carolina in order to promote a safe and secure environment for the public." - SCDPS

South Carolina State Transport Police

"is the premier law enforcement division in South Carolina for enforcing both federal regulations and state laws pertaining to commercial motor vehicles.  " - SCSTP

South Carolina Bureau of Protective Services

"ensures the safety and well-being of all citizens, employees and elected representatives and those attending scheduled events or while visiting or conducting business on the grounds of the South Carolina State Capitol Complex and other designated state facilities." -SCBPS

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources

Preserves the wilderness, fish, and game of the State of South Carolina. They work with communities to make sure hunting, fishing, and laws concerning nature are being followed, as well as restock rivers with fish and other assorted works. They were deployed to Texas to aid with the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Process.

What's Included:

2009 Ford Crown Victoria Marked/Slicktop
    SCHP
    SCSTP
2010 Dodge Charger
    SCHP
2010 Ford F-350 Superduty
    SCDNR
2014 Ford Police Interceptor
    SCHP
2014 Dodge Charger Marked/Slicktop
    SCHP (HEAT, Regular)
    SCBPS
2014 Chevrolet Tahoe Marked/Slicktop
    SCHP
    SCBPS
    SCSTP
2014 BMW 1200RT
    SCHP
2016 Ford Police Utility Slicktop
    SCHP
    Unmarked
2016 Dodge Charger Marked/Slicktop
SCHP (HEAT, Target Zero, Ghost, Unmarked)
2017 Chevrolet Tahoe  Marked
    SCHP
    SCSTP
2018 Dodge Durango SRT Slicktop
    SCHP (Unmarked, Regular)

What's New in Version 2.0.1

Released

So... everything has been redone to match SC Spec according to the graphics package that was given to me by a DPS employee.

I've added like 8 new vehicles to the pack

I've added liveries from 3 other agencies to include:

South Carolina Highway Patrol
South Carolina State Transport Police

South Carolina Bureau of Protective Services

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources

2.0.1

Just notice, the 2016 FPIU was missing the SCHP wings, so I added them

Love, Love, Love the update. Its so great to see local cars in game. I had a question for you though, I saw a really nice looking HP car but it was black and not silver, I think it was HEAT but I couldnt tell. Do you know if thats correct, and if it is, would you ever think of doing something like it?

I've made skins for it before, it is indeed a black H.E.A.T. highway patrol 2014 Charger. I think there's only a handful of them, but I can definitely plan and doing that, thanks for the suggestion!

Not sure what you're referring to. It may have something to do with dummy placement, I will look into it.

The rear wheel on that charger base model is bigger than the front. Makes it look like a hotwheels car

From the way I understand it, the left front wheel is copied 3 more times to a dummy placement on the car where the other three wheels are, the wheels should not be different sizes, and from what I can tell in game, all of the wheels are the same size.

High quality mods without question. Would you mind having a look at the 2016 charger?  Both the lightbar and the slicktop version have their front right passanger window tinted pitch black for some reason (can't see through at all). I have set the diffuseTint value in the vehicles.meta to 0x00FFFFFF.  This one window remains black though for both versions. Not sure what's causing this but it is really unfortunate.
Looking at it from the inside, it looks more like a texture rather than a tint to me. Shouldn't be there.

You can even see it in your screenshots and videos here on this page, so the problem is not at my end of the line....

No the problem is not on your end, For some reason this is a bug that I didn't notice, I will take a look at it and see if I can get it fixed, thanks for pointing that out 😄

so? not everyone wants all blue and I would use these for north Dakota state police....remember red and blue can be optional in a folder

If you don't want all blues find a different car his theme is SCHP and they have all blues.

This pack is just plain awesome! I live in South Carolina myself, so this hits home! There is just one little thing that bugs me, and no hate to the author, keep in mind I'm a Crown Victoria fanatic, but the Victoria's used by the SC highway patrol are known as "SAP" CVPI's.... This means there is no trace anywhere from factory on that vehicle to identify it as an Interceptor. In other words, on the truck lid, SAP's should not have "Police Interceptor", rather "Crown Victoria" instead.... No big deal, just letting you know! No SAP (Chrome) Crown Victoria from factory had an Interceptor badge on it. Only the regular police model with black grill and black rear facia did.

I don't know what to say. The work that was put into this is something I feel we all can aspire to. I'm from Greer, SC. Way to rep SC!

As a part of SCHP, if it was a black charger with blue strips it was an older grant car. We were thinking of switching to that color scheme but it got shot down by Admin when they saw it. If it was unmarked then you saw a super rare one since we done do unmarked car anymore
