South Carolina Department of Public Safety Mega Pack

by Othrin

Around two years ago, I was inspired to create a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria to the tune of the South Carolina Highway patrol. It was a crappy model and texture and needed a lot of work. Now that I have the exact specs of the Highway patrol, and the rest of the Department of Public Safety, I have decided to work hard to make a pack containing a ton of vehicles from four agencies from the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.

Firstly, let me explain what each department does;

South Carolina Highway Patrol

"Provides equitable service and protection, and upholds the laws of the constitutions of the United States and the State of South Carolina in order to promote a safe and secure environment for the public." - SCDPS

South Carolina State Transport Police

"is the premier law enforcement division in South Carolina for enforcing both federal regulations and state laws pertaining to commercial motor vehicles.  " - SCSTP

South Carolina Bureau of Protective Services

"ensures the safety and well-being of all citizens, employees and elected representatives and those attending scheduled events or while visiting or conducting business on the grounds of the South Carolina State Capitol Complex and other designated state facilities." -SCBPS

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources

Preserves the wilderness, fish, and game of the State of South Carolina. They work with communities to make sure hunting, fishing, and laws concerning nature are being followed, as well as restock rivers with fish and other assorted works. They were deployed to Texas to aid with the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Process.

What's Included:

2009 Ford Crown Victoria Marked/Slicktop
    SCHP
    SCSTP
2010 Dodge Charger
    SCHP
2010 Ford F-350 Superduty
    SCDNR
2014 Ford Police Interceptor
    SCHP
2014 Dodge Charger Marked/Slicktop
    SCHP (HEAT, Regular)
    SCBPS
2014 Chevrolet Tahoe Marked/Slicktop
    SCHP
    SCBPS
    SCSTP
2014 BMW 1200RT
    SCHP
2016 Ford Police Utility Slicktop
    SCHP
    Unmarked
2016 Dodge Charger Marked/Slicktop
SCHP (HEAT, Target Zero, Ghost, Unmarked)
2017 Chevrolet Tahoe  Marked
    SCHP
    SCSTP
2018 Dodge Durango SRT Slicktop
    SCHP (Unmarked, Regular)

What's New in Version 2.0.1

Released

So... everything has been redone to match SC Spec according to the graphics package that was given to me by a DPS employee.

I've added like 8 new vehicles to the pack

I've added liveries from 3 other agencies to include:

South Carolina Highway Patrol
South Carolina State Transport Police

South Carolina Bureau of Protective Services

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources

2.0.1

Just notice, the 2016 FPIU was missing the SCHP wings, so I added them

so? not everyone wants all blue and I would use these for north Dakota state police....remember red and blue can be optional in a folder

I will not be supporting red and blues in this pack, you may convert them yourself if you wish.

Don't worry, I won't lose any sleep over it. I spent 16+ hours straight on each of these cars, I mapped the lighting to how it is realistic to the agency that I provided (ex. if you changed the ion color, you would change all of the ions to red), if you want to be disrespectful to that, it is not my problem.

I freaking love these cars, but for some reason the police 3 spawned in as Lancaster Sheriff? not sure why

Ah yes, I was using those cars and forgot to take it out of the ytd file, you'll have to change the livery to 0, thanks for telling me! XD

SCHP uses all blue IRL ,but the optional could be a thing

I made it so that the ions are mapped to all blue only, so they could be only blue or red, not both. I think it would look silly otherwise. SCHP uses some funky lighting equipment, really unique and really cool.

You realize that making red/blues (Which was not this author's intention) would require him to remap and retexture almost all the lights on all three cars. That isn't unwillingness to add optional stuff, that's being realistic and sticking to your own tastes.

If you would like to point me to the correct FPIS rambar, I would be happy to apply it, but I am only working with what I have, I have official details straight from the South Carolina Department of Public Safety per a colleague that I know who works for DPS, and got in touch with the fleet sergeants who oversees the making of SCHP cars, I am simply going off of those. and adding to that, SCHP uses local parts from local companies, such as the pushbar the vic uses.

What you used is a tahoe rambar and is not used for FPIS, there is rambars made for different vehicles. a FPIS and FPIU rambar can be found here

@SCLEDNoah these are great cars but not having the south Carolina license plate on the sedan and the vic kind of ruin it. You have them set to use the default gta plates. If you could change it that would be great.

I've found and fixed the issue however all of my modding stuff is either outdated not paid for or lost, as I have been inactive due to work and school. I'll look into redoing the CVPI sometime in the future but I can't put my finger on a day or time.

Thanks for the reply. No worries. Thank you for all you do. I absolutely love this pack. I'm a sucker for blue lights ha.
