It is within your Sheriff carvariations.meta . I believe the sirensettings for this car is a 1. I do not know for sure though, try messing with different sirensettings in your carvariations.meta for sherff (or whatever the car is installed for)

    thanks man

I am having trouble getting the lighting to work (see pictures). Certain lights are floating out in front of the car. Also the light-bar doesn't fully light up, only one of the blue lights on the passenger side lights up..

I've tried editing the carvariations.meta (sirensettings and lightsettings are both set to 1 but I've tried variations with no change in game.) I've tried using the visualsettings.dat file included in the download (I dropped it into mods\update\update.rpf\common\data).

The last place I can think the issue resides is within the vehicles.meta for Sheriff? But there's no line provided within the download or the comments so I'm not sure what to edit there. Currently my code for vehicles.meta is from Bxbugs123's 2011 CROWN VICTORIA LASD/LSSD V1.4A.

It doesn't help that the "MIF" read-me included is inapplicable to the car... There is no included "flags" line (although I added the one provided by on Mattbravo on page 1 of the comments). The visualsettings.dat file included isn't mentioned in the "MIF" either, likewise with the packager installer (not that I want one). But I really don't get the point of including the read-me like this in the first place as it doesn't actually help you install the car.

I currently have BxBugs123's charger, CVPI, and Impala installed, could one of these be conflicting with this sheriff CVPI?

Can anyone provide some insight into what I'm missing? Or perhaps share what line you are using for your vehicles.meta?

    Thanks

Assuming you have everything set up correctly, this can happen when you have another carvariations entry for this slot, ie. you created a new one in mpchristmas2 for example, but had an old one for the same slot sitting in the RDE carvariations (assuming you use RDE). You need to go through each of the dlc carvariation files and search for a duplicate Police, or police2 or whatever slot you have the car in, and delete the entry for the old one.

Dope car model but the extras 1 and 2 (the extra lights) are messed up on light up about 5 feet in front of the car. (photo attached)

Any one know of any fixes. (I did change the flags line to what its supposed to be)

HERE IS HOW TO FIX THE LIGHTS.

    1. In openIV go to mods, update, x64, dlcpacks, mpchristmas2, dlc.rpf, common, data

    2. Right click on carvariations.meta and click extract. ( I recommend extracting it to the desktop)

    3. Open it then scroll down until you see <modelName>sheriff</modelName>

    4. Then keep scrolling untill you see <lightSettings value="0" />
                                                              <sirenSettings value="1" />

    5. Make sure the numbers in your file look the same as the ones above.

    6. Then save the file and drag it back into open IV where it was.

Hopefully that helped if no feel free to comment and ill try to help.

    FIXED

Okay so I was able to fix it thanks to some advice from sircam19 and OfficerArchie. The location of the carvariations.meta wherein I needed to change the lightSettings and sirensettings values was in mpluxe2. After I followed sircam19's instructions with THAT carvar the lights finally work.

Nice model, and ive seen few people post my issue but no clarification on how to fix it as of yet. The car works just fine cept that the lights in the back window, the left one lights up as red as intended but the right light is also red, which should be blue as shown in the picture. Is there a fix for this? Other then that the model works fine for me.

Disregard, found that you had to add line to carvations to get the lights to work properly.

Is the Extra #12 working for anybody? It says that it is a trunk antenna but it's not showing up for me. Can someone tell me if its working or not?

I have it working for sheriff, police and police3 but not police2 - I've replaced textures in patchday3, carvariations in mpchristmas and vehiclesmeta just like all the others but the car is always white with no textures and a weird shiny finish - anyone know what I need to do for police2?

@Bxbugs123 could an all blue light setup and/or and optimization for the Police-Slot be a thing for a future update. Because I love the all blue light setup for your slicktop and also want a CVPI with a Liberty for the Police-Slot with an all blue light setup. Would be great if you could do that;)

Blue lights for the Latest CVPI-1.7L   could not be more simple.  Step 1.  Down load Techengages  Custom Visuals & Blue Light Pack 1.4.20

Now dig thru those folders and find BLUE LIGHT TEMPLATES and drag to your desk top from the zipped folder. Next look thru there and find the file named "emerglights_emis_arjent"  and drag that to your desktop.  Now open your OPENIV program and go to your folder in witch you installed the car   too, example for me is patchyday5 in DLPACKS,,  Then find the file Sheriff.ytd and open it. look thru there and you will see the file/picture of the red and blue template named "emerglights_emis_arjent"   ,,Now  REPLACE that with the Blue one and save and exit Sheriff.ytd  and that's all for the car.   Now go to your CARVARIATION file in MPchristmas2  and right click on CARVARIATIONS.META and Extract to your desktop  and then open it.  look thru there and find the "<modelName>sheriff</modelName>  scroll down from there looking for  <sirenSettings value="1" />  and just change the 1 to 14 and save,,then drag the Carvariations file back to OPENIV in wich it came from and your Done ,,You will now have all blue lights.   Also make sure  <lightSettings value="1" />  is 1  so it should look like <lightSettings value="1" />
<sirenSettings value="14" />  hope this helps. The car looks awesome with blue lights.

Car works fine and dandy (installed into police 2), but when I add my own textures to replace the stock livery's, or any other textures for that matter, the car doesn't spawn at all. Does anyone know how to fix this??

For me I am pretty sure Extra 12 is a set of red and blue strobes right above the rear license plate.

This car works perfectly fine in "POLICE" slot. All you have to do is go into carvariations, and make a section/entry for POLICE. Easiest way is to copy the whole SHERIFF section, paste it, and change the name from SHERIFF to POLICE. Make sure light and siren settings are both set to "1" though.

This works for any vehicle slot actually, not just "POLICE", you just have to name the new section accordingly. And I believe someone has made a blue light mod for this already, so you're all set!

I know that (and use it) but the way BxBugs set up the all blue lightsetup  was through a .oiv fill and that was only working for the police4 slot. That´s the reason I wanted to ask him if he could do an all blue light setup for the Police and the Sheriff slor ;)

This is an amazing mod. The only problem I am having with this is the right back light on the right side under the rear windshield. It is rotating flashing red. All the other lights work fine. It looks great from the front. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
