  1. Catch it and take it somewhere at least 1 body of water away (like a lake or bay) or it'll come straight back. Just use a cage with an apple on the door trigger.
  2. Much more true to the NYPD reference, very good stuff DLer
  3. There's also a strong chance it's to do with the /2k games/ installation copy (online purchase from Gamestop I believe). That version just doesn't seem to run very well with the mod.
  4. I think it's just a feature of the game that peds will run away anytime a gun is fired and the taser is essentially a gun just with a different damage effect. I could be wrong though.
  5. File has been fixed, download has been updated. Sorry for an inconvenience.
  6. So I decided to make it easier on everyone and actually include the .wft and the .wtd files in the download package. Check the DL page again if you downloaded the incomplete file before (my mistake!).
  7. LCPD Vector-Style Buffalo is ready to go. It's just waiting approval at this stage. Essentially it's very similar to the police3 Buffalo from EFLC but it has livery support and some slight changes to what's inside the vehicle, as well as the functioning traffic bar. So my project status: Randomised lightbar setup Buffalo - Currently talking to another modder about if he'd be interested in providing a lightbar or two. Once I've determined which I'll use it shouldn't take long. Unmarked Flashpoint-esque Landstalker - A 'just-for-fun' project really. It has all the (non-ELS) lighting equipment that it needs, just could do with some miscellaneous adjustments and I might fit some interesting content into the boot compartment. Unmarked Ford Taurus - This was also really a 'just-for-fun' project. It currently has some issues that need correcting but I'm not 100% decided on if I'll make it a priority.

Bravado Buffalo Police [LCPD Vector] by Ekalb Version 1.0 APOLOGIES: I have replaced the file with one that actually includes the vehicle! Just like the one in EFLC but slightly better! Renewal of the contract between the state of Liberty and the car manufacturer Bravado saw the addition of two new models from the Buffalo class of sedans to state and local level law enforcement agencies. The second of these models is a new and improved Buffalo for LCPD general duties police use. It features a non-ELS Vector style (the same as the original police cruiser and police patrol cars) in addition to a prisoner divider, illuminating PC and a functional traffic advisor bar. Bravado engineers have also worked tirelessly around the clock to discover how to place different markings on the LCPD fleet, meaning that now the vehicle supports multiple liverys. The team at Bravado has also run short of their supply of physics-defying unbreakable glass and are now sad to report that the glass on the door windows and on the lightbar will now break realistically when damaged! The vehicle remains relatively low in file size meaning it shouldn't cause as much of a strain on games or systems as other modded vehicles well, and the fact that it is a modified default vehicle should allow it to fit well into your game world. The model is provided in open and unlocked format in order to encourage members of the modding community. If you wish to share liveries of this vehicle, a template is provided. However if you wish to share modified versions of the vehicle files themselves, fair credit to all contributed authors, myself included, is expected. As I continue to hopefully improve my skills in gta vehicle modding, any feedback is appreciated. A thanks must go out to those who helped beta test and resolve some issues during this car's development. CREDITS Original Bravado Buffalo FBI by Rockstar Games Vector style LCPD lightbar by Rockstar Games, further modification by Ekalb Livery support from DLer UV-Mapping, attachment and modification of other police equipment, livery work, other modification etc. by Ekalb Essential Zmodeler advice from f5544 Thanks must go out again to Corleone for his excellent UV-mapping tutorial.
  8. They look pretty sweet evilhomer, good stuff. Okay here's where I am at the moment. I'm on a brief break from uni for the next week so I'm hoping to at least release the Vector Buffalo and hopefully the slicktop/lightbar Buffalo too. I'm currently in contact with f5544 to see what he can teach me and to see if we can make the glass for the vector lightbar breakable. Other than that it is ready to go.
  9. So I've been rewatching flashpoint and I've had another of my modding projects on hold while I sought some advice so I made this... It was a very quick export when the vehicle wasn't really finished (that's why I've got the headlight glass bug). I'm sort of thinking that the Landstalker wasn't the best car to use since it's more of a luxury SUV than a more sports-style one that you'd expect police to use. I just seemed to think it resembled the Suburban a little more. Anyway, after some more work I've done on it it's got 8 non-els lights (2 on the grill, 2 on the front windshield, 2 in the rear and 1 on either side near the passenger/driver side door join which is pretty similar to what they have in the show. It also has a mesh divider that you can't see that well in the screenshots but it separates the back section. My intention is to have some boxes/shelves/tech equipment etc. in the boot. I'll update with more recent screenshots soon.
  10. Thanks f5544, I gave that a go and exported to test and I still can't seem to get the bloody glass on the lightbar to break. I've got some time now ti the pressure from uni dying down a bit so my plan is to release the Vector Buffalo tonight, and hopefully with some assistance from f5544 I'll release the mx7000/slicktop version soon too.
  11. Hmm I didn't think backup used the strobes... Unless that's a config setting in an .ini file that I've missed. e: okay it appears I haven't updated to the latest version of that mod. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
  12. Yeah I hear you, I'd love to do it too but I don't even have enough time to finish up some of my own stuff. Looking forward to what you can put out though Tom. I think I'm going to rewatch Flashpoint if I get a chance (I hear the final season is starting in September).
  13. Those uniforms look great, I was only watching Flashpoint on Monday and wondering if anyone had released any cars like theirs. The lights would be simple enough and I guess the bar would be pretty straight forward to do using what's already out there. Finding an unlocked suburban would be the challenge, unless you were to just use a default Cavalcade or Landstalker?
  14. Backup responding with (strobes mod?) lighting effects? Is that an LCPDFR feature now? Niiice We must be close :O
  15. Just make sure all the textures that the lightbar needs (all the images inside the wtd file) are in the same folder as the .wft file that you important into zmodeler and it should show correctly. Do the exact same with the vehicle and its textures but you also need to add the vehshare texture files (can be found on the zmodeler website or extracted from the vehshare.wtd file). Essentially you want to have a 'work folder' and inside it are all the .wft files that you're going to import into your zmodeler scene, in addition to all their textures as png files.
  16. Ah sorry! Modding has only managed to grab a tiny bit of my time this week. I've fixed a few issues that were identified in the Buffalo beta test regarding the front-side window collisions. I still can't figure out how I can get the lightbar glass to break so if I don't figure it out I might just put the model out as is which shouldn't be a major problem. Bare with me, won't be too far away.
  17. However long it takes it sounds excellent. I'm really glad you've done it through the mobile-like menu so it doesn't seem that there'll be too many more keybindings to remember. Very much looking forward to it!
  18. Does it retain any of the policing elements from the True Crime series? I can remember frisking peds and all that kind of stuff in TC:LA
  19. Google maps style minimap
  20. But no, rather than read that you're much better off installing the game another 10 more times.
