Today we have a new variant of the Hilux resembling those used by the police in the Australian state of Western Australia. The major addition is the Hazard Systems 20 series lightbar (model by Snit) as well as a number of other additions, alterations, and a few bug fixes from previous versions. This model also features a functioning Varley brand prisoner transport pod, which you can load your arrested suspect into for transport to the station. This version is non-ELS, with an ELS version to follow in the near future. This model is locked to prevent further editing. By downloading this file you agree that you will not edit the model file in any way nor will you re-upload or share it through any other services. It is permissible for you to use the template provided to make and share your own livery designs for this vehicle. This 'vehicle file' is made with the utmost respect to any official agencies it represents or resembles. It is by no means connected to any of those agencies. 3. Sounds very interesting, and still plenty of original ideas too which is great.
  4. Has anyone else gotten a script crash when attempting to search forklifts? Not sure if it's just because they don't have a boot though.
  5. New breathalyser sounds great! Looking forward to it.
  6. Only police3, police4 and policeb. They will have sirens but I don't believe you can use the police computer.
  7. I remember when the Battlefield franchise experimented with different settings and gameplay styles with each release.... I guess they can't away with that anymore though. Modern/near future US-focused is probably all they're allowed to do. Although that said, I feel like if they released a sequel to say, Battlefield 2142, it'd be likely to be really different and ruin my nostalgia of that game.
  8. Before painting in Zmod, try moving the siren_glass objects that you're going to repaint out of the chassis hierarchy, then turning the chassis hierarchy off (so everything except the siren_glass is hidden). Then when you're done painting, move them back into the hierarchy where they originally were.
  9. :O :D One little thing I noticed before when I was processing a suspect and putting the knife he into evidence is just a little English error in the message that appears when you drop off evidence at the station. I believe it says something along the lines of 'Evidence were dropped off at the station', whereas the proper wording would be 'Evidence was dropped off at the station'. Evidence is one of those words that means both plural (multiple) and singular. So where you might have cars were racing (plural)/a car was racing(singular), evidence is always 'was', unless you're saying a piece of evidence was/pieces of evidence were. Sorry if I just gave you a totally unnecessary English lesson. It's really not a major problem at all :P
  10. Ah that's what I was worried about, people developing a preference for a certain pursuit mode and having to change to it every time. Oh well, there's still time to make such a feature if any devs are watching?
  11. Make sure you are in polygon mode and using selected mode for a better way of selecting all the right surfaces. As I've mentioned since the beginning, you cannot change the actual flash colours to anything other than the default red and white colours. You can only change the colour of the glass which may be able to make the lights appear a slightly different colour. Check the .wft you are importing is not 0kb filesize. Check there are no errors shown in the Zmodeler log box when you are exporting the file in zmod.
  12. Interesting. Is it possible to set default pursuit tactics options in an .ini file for example?
  13. Ah this is so cool, the ability to give custom fines (and warnings), collect evidence and drop it off at the station and with all these new world events is just fantastic. Really completing the policing experience. Very well done. And there's still more you want to do! Amazing.
  14. It sounds like you might have made a mistake with the sirens, did you rename them or anything?
  15. I'm really not 100% on what it is that makes the light coronas bluer/whiter, but if it's related to the corona texture you may like to try this mod and see if one looks right for you. It could just be an illusion based on what materials are around it (so if you changed the white glass to blue glass, the corona flashing inside it may appear to be bluer)
  16. Well the only way to alter the colour they flash in game is by renaming each siren dummy as I said before. They'll either be red (odd numbers) or white/blue (I think your ENB/coronas.wtd or visual settings effect how blue or white they appear ingame) for even numbers. For the actual glass of the default lightbar, it's not controlled by a texture file. It's painted in with zmodeler. You need to select the polygons you wish to change the colour of (with selected mode on, so it's orange), switch to Vertex mode, then select the paint tool (Surface -> Paint), change the pressure to 100, then open the Colour menu and choose your colour, then hit 'Fill selection'.
  17. So you mean you just want to change the colour of the actual glass mesh? eg.
  18. Well you can't have an all blue lightbar if that's what you're after, unless you want it to only have four lights.
  19. (drive letter)(program files)Steamsteamappscommongrand theft auto ivGTAIV
  20. You can only have 8 light coronas on a vehicle in the police slot. Siren1/3/5/7 are red, siren 2/4/6/8 are white/blue.
  21. The light coronas themselves can only be blue/white and red.
  22. Some car options like that would be cool but they're all pretty easy to do with SNT if someone has that installed already. I can't think of much else that's simple at this stage.
