Election 2016
But is what he said actually true? No. Not at all. But is what he said actually true? Flat out lie. But is what he said actually true? No. No factual basis whatsoever. But is what he said actually true? No. If he went up to the podium and explained his positions on trade negotiation, he wouldn't be doing well in the polls. But is what he said actually true? No. Qatar is not a battlefield. Trump isn't happy about the exchange, but that's not enough for him. He has to use misleading rhetoric to get people's attention. But is what he said actually true? No. Again, that is still a proposed premium rate. They can easily be denied by regulators. If Obama stretched the truth like this, there is exactly a 0% chance that conservatives would be loving him for his lack of "political correctness". They would be up in arms, 24/7 coverage on Fox News about King Obama's lies.

Violence Resumes (again) in Ferguson
Apparently there's enough jobs to double-dip. I guess we forgot to tell the millions of unemployed people.....oops.

Violence Resumes (again) in Ferguson
It doesn't justify the riots, it just explains them. There's no justification for burning down a store, but it'd be silly of us to not mention the equally, or more terrible things that drove them to that point. As far as I'm concerned there's no current prosecutions of city or PD authorities, because what they did was technically legal. But it seems like federal LE agencies are setting new boundaries for conduct in the future, as they certainly should.

Election 2016
He's speaking to a lot of people's opinions, but a lot of people's opinions aren't supported by fact. Trump is proving that it doesn't matter what you say, as long as you say it with confidence. When you say that people are "back on the battlefield" and they're sitting in Qatar under a travel ban, that's called a lie. When you say there are "no jobs" and jobs are at record highs, that's called a lie. Trump claimed that economic growth has “never” been below zero until last quarter’s drop, which is far from true. It has been below zero 42 times since 1946.He said “there are no jobs” to be had. In fact, there were 5.4 million job openings recorded at the end of April, the most in 15 years. He said the “real” unemployment rate is “anywhere from 18 to 20 percent” and “maybe even 21 percent.” We see no factual basis for this opinion. He boasted he would have blocked new Ford plants in Mexico by threatening to impose a 35 percent tax on vehicles and parts made in Mexico and shipped to the U.S. But only Congress can impose taxes and such a tax would violate the North American Free Trade Agreement.Trump claimed the five Taliban leaders exchanged for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl “are now back on the battlefield trying to kill us.” But all five remain in Qatar, where they continue to be monitored and are subject to a travel ban, according to the State Department. He also made the misleading claim that health care premium costs are going “up 29, 39, 49 and even 55 percent.” He’s talking about some proposed rate increases on the individual market that still need regulatory approval. There are also proposed rate decreases or single-digit increases that did not have to be submitted for review.Don't take this as me attacking you for your beliefs. Support any candidate that you like. But if you're looking for honesty and transparency, keep looking. Word to the wise.

Election 2016
Yes or no. Do you care if he's lying to you? http://www.factcheck.org/2015/06/trump-tramples-facts/ No one is questioning whether or not you can legally say what you want, we're questioning you for supporting what he says.

Violence Resumes (again) in Ferguson
Sorry for interjecting into your debate, but what makes you say that its most likely their fault? That's absolutely ridiculous. People in communities like Ferguson don't slip into poverty, they're born into it. Its not like most poor people used to own a company until they made a risky investment that left them broke. In that case, yeah, it would be their fault. But that's not what we're talking about. In a discussion about poverty, you CHOSE generalize that poverty is the fault of the poor. 13ubba isn't misinterpreting you're words, you literally said them.

Election 2016
Its just that people who claim to hate "political correctness" boggle my mind. So you respect him because he says whatever he wants, regardless of what the truth is? So if he goes up to a podium and lies, but says it very strongly and offensively, that's what earns your respect? I'm honestly trying to understand.

Wonderful to hear that, that's one of the major breakthroughs I've been waiting for as a GTA IV texture artist.

My Thoughts on V Modeling
Well said. Modders- NO ONE is disrespecting the work you do. But this is the internet. You can't expect that through decades of modding that you will be able to hold onto the same technical features that you've enjoyed in past games. That's the kind of thinking that has the potential to destroy the GTA police modding community. You guys don't make things on here for money, you make them so that the community can use them, and because you enjoy making them. It is mutually beneficial for us to move on and get with the times. Everyone- you're not entitled to the work of others. Mod makers release things on their own schedules. Its a dick move to post pictures of something you have no intention of releasing, but at the end of the day, they have every right to withhold a release if they're not comfortable with doing so. I want them to feel comfortable with releasing things, and I absolutely think they should. But don't hate on them for it, that's not cool.

How does texturing work with custom models? Are you able to bypass the "vehshare.ytd" format? And it goes without saying....amazing work so far!

For the sake of common decency, everyone... if you're going to post WIP pictures of a mod that the community is dying to use, have a plan to release it. Otherwise its bragging about something only you're letting yourself enjoy. You're not entitled to anyone else's work. Mod makers release things on their own schedules, but its common decency that once screenshots are posted, an eventual release can be expectedYour work will never be safe. If I post a killer video on Youtube, someone can rip it and re-upload it. That's just how the internet is. In GTA IV, we were lucky to be able to lock models. We won't always have that luxury in the future, and it shouldn't be the death of every modding community online.

You respect him for lying, just because he says it apologetically?

Violence Resumes (again) in Ferguson
The DOJ report revealed a long history of racism inside of the Ferguson Police Department, and huge racial disparities in things like traffic stops, as well as the fact that the overwhelming majority of officers were white and from out of town, and that the Ferguson PD had basically thrown away all efforts to form relationships with the community. As if that wasn't enough, the town used its police department to generate revenue by issuing arbitrary and excessive fines to poor members of the community. Oh, and the racist emails between officers... All of that is unrelated to the Michael Brown case. What happened in Ferguson is that the Michael Brown shooting opened a deep racial wound that had been left poorly stitched for decades. If someone is born into poverty, is it their fault for being poor? And if that person has no opportunity of hope left in their life, is it their fault left for staying poor?

Violence Resumes (again) in Ferguson
The idea of a "lazy government moocher" was created by extremely rich Republican politicians and political advisers. I'm sure there are lazy people in Ferguson but bringing it up is a distraction, its a way for the rich to blame poverty on the poor. Because if poverty is the fault of the poor, we don't feel obligated to help them. Pretty convenient how that works out...its a classic political trick. Did you read/hear about the findings of the DOJ investigation into the Ferguson police? Not your fault if you haven't, but you should in order to know what I'm referring to.

What would you do?
Don't get me wrong I have a huge amount of respect for police, particularly European police. Just seems like an odd PR strategy lol.

Even if a small percentage of them manage to get those jobs, you can't live on minimum wage, no matter what the GOP tells you. Minimum wage is only suitable for a highschool/college student trying to save for a car over summer break. Someone of these people have kids, sometimes because they could afford contraception, birth control, or other basic healthcare needs. They don't have college education, because they can't afford it, and they need to work sometimes multiple jobs in order to live. Poverty is a destructive spiral, and these people are living in it. There's 100 reasons why these people are in the streets, and laziness isn't one of them.

Girl commits apparent suicide in jail
I'm not putting words in your mouth, I'm making an observation. When discussing relations between black communities and police, you chose to focus on the "burden" placed on police officers. Not once have you offered a suggestion for how police could improve or "be better going forward". You're never safe from the implications of your own words. What I'm mocking is the conservative ideology of "if you don't know everything, you're not allowed to say anything". You've been doing it from the start. You've questioned my age, my qualifications, and even the proven scientific evidence I've shown you. And another classic conservative ideology is the victim mentality, in which you are constantly convinced that others are out to twist your words. Again, you are never safe from the implications of your own words. I've included evidence that reflects on the nation-wide issue, and every time you have found a loophole, however factually based, in order to completely absolve the police of blame or wrong-doing in every situation. So please don't claim that all you're trying to bring objectivity, as you've shown none of your own.

How exactly have I been twisting your words? What you've been saying has included implications that you haven't refuted.

"especially" the right to vote. The secondary definition for disenfranchised is "deprived of power; marginalized.".

Violence Resumes (again) in Ferguson
You seriously think tens of thousands of people are making a choice to be poor? http://time.com/3138176/ferguson-demographic-change/ http://www.city-data.com/poverty/poverty-Ferguson-Missouri.html http://www.brookings.edu/blogs/the-avenue/posts/2014/08/15-ferguson-suburban-poverty http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2015/mar/15/jalen-ross/black-name-resume-50-percent-less-likely-get-respo/

Violence Resumes (again) in Ferguson
Where have you gotten this idea? Why would an entire community of people decide to be terribly poor in order to get a relatively minuscule leg-up from the government? http://time.com/3138176/ferguson-demographic-change/ http://www.city-data.com/poverty/poverty-Ferguson-Missouri.html http://www.brookings.edu/blogs/the-avenue/posts/2014/08/15-ferguson-suburban-poverty http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2015/mar/15/jalen-ross/black-name-resume-50-percent-less-likely-get-respo/

That can be pretty dangerous....the Black Panther Party is pretty much an empty shell now-a-days, but white supremacists are still pretty damn dangerous to this day. Scary stuff.
