Download Counts
The download count shown on files is an estimate based on a real time incrementing figure. It is not very accurate. The publicly shown download count is not used for 'Trending File' calculations. Instead, the 'Trending File' process looks at each individually logged download and throws away ones that could be duplicate, or were made from VPNs and proxies. Basically, artificially inflated download counts will not cause files to trend. Authors or other users who attempt to artificially inflate download counts may find their IP addresses or user accounts blocked for site resource abuse. If you suspect a file has had its download counts artificially inflated, please report it to us. We will be able to review the individual download records on the file.

Changing how hiding files works
Hi all, When we introduced the ability to hide your files and queue them for deletion, the intention was that files could be hidden for short periods of time (for example, if you find a bug in a script/model or want some time to update or refine the file) and that authors would delete files that they want deleted. According to our analytics and stats, most authors will hide a file if they want it permanently gone, but won't queue it for deletion. Looking through our database, we have over a thousand and a half hidden files. A lot of these are accidental uploads or cases where members have had permission issues with their files. The majority of these files will never be unhidden and the space will go unreclaimed. Starting from 1st October 2019, we'll be changing the hide file functionality and it will queue your file for deletion at the same time. This will instantly hide the file whilst giving a 14-day deadline to unhide the file before it is permanently removed from LCPDFR.com. Starting from 1st November 2019, all existing hidden files will be queued for deletion with a one month deadline. All authors who have hidden work will be private messaged and made aware of this process and will be able to unhide or backup their file before it is removed permanently. We think the 14-day deadline will be enough for most current cases of hiding files. Site staff will be able to assist in cases where it isn't. Cyan.

Site was down yesterday
We had a DNS outage for about an hour on Saturday night, at around 11pm BST. Because of a configuration issue, we had to change the IP addresses of our DNS servers. We had everything fixed around 1am on Sunday morning. We saw traffic recover to around normal levels a few hours later at around Sunday morning 6am. Some choice ISPs DNS resolvers that cache information for far too long (which is probably around 5% of our visitors) would probably not have been able to access the site until their caches cleared. Anyone using a decent DNS service (like Google DNS, Cloudflare DNS or just decent ISP resolver) wasn't affected for longer than an hour or two.

LSPDFR for Rockstar and Cracked
LSPDFR can be installed as per normal on the latest Rockstar Warehouse version of the game. Regarding the cracked version, we would be unable to comment on that. This topic has been closed because you are asking for support regarding pirated software. We are unable to provide support to pirates, or people using cracks. If you feel this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.

Download issues
This is a problem that is mostly out of our control. We have escalated it and we can only wait.
-
Download issues
That's probably going to be as good as it will be until the ISPs release their block.

Download issues
Our CDN provider is saying this is an ISP level block. They are attempting to mitigate it. Is anyone having any luck now?

Download issues
Your ISP seems to have persisting issues with our CDN provider. I will pass them some details to investigate. Can you please follow the instructions here to run a traceroute (for both IPv4 and IPv6), substituting www.example.com for download-tier1.cdn.lcpdfr.com: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/203118044#h_b8cebafd-9243-40e9-9c44-d4b94ccd3a87 And copy the results here. You can also PM me the results if you'd like.

Editing .XML files for in game personal use.
Your XML is invalid. [8/18/2019 7:28:13 PM.228] LSPD First Response: Exception message: The 'Item' start tag on line 19 position 36 does not match the end tag of 'YellowItems'. Line 34, position 7. Downloading not working
I'm not seeing any issue on our end. Have you tried making sure any AV software is disabled and trying again? We have previously had issue with our CDN company with your ISP so please let me know if this issue persists.

SuperCallouts
Most mods on the site are approved automatically (you're talking something around 95%). We do a basic automated AV check on every file submitted to the site. We also have a system that signals files for varying reasons (it contains an executable, encrypted data, archive within archive). Any file which our automated system flags as potentially posing a user risk is sent into our manual approval queue. This process is usually done within ~10 minutes of uploading the file. It's almost impossible for a virus scan of plugins/scripts to be accurate, as the behaviour of plugins/scripts is only really resolved at runtime. No AV is intelligent enough to do a proper dynamic analysis of these, so we have a manual process which can take time -- especially on weekends. Although our aim is usually within 12 hours, during peak times or over holiday periods this can take longer. We really, really don't want to serve users malicious files and try to keep a decent reputation on being a safe site.
