Illusionyary got a reaction from Lozano71 in The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car ThreadFound a bunch more Australian vehicles. The 1980's weren't a great year for Australian car design.

Illusionyary got a reaction from ItsClonkAndre in Is LCPDFR still being developed or is it dead? (Also some recommendations)Would definitely love to see LCPDFR return. GTA IV is one of my favourite games in the series and I have so many good memories of playing LCPDFR between 2011-2015 and it's great the game actually runs decently on modern hardware now.

Illusionyary got a reaction from 9032AP in How many different lightbars uses your local PD?Like I said last year, the old Highway Patrol cars here had Federal Signal Vectors. I miss them so much, they looked well cool. I haven't seen a Highway Patrol car in years now though. As far as I can tell they still exist, but they've obviously been phased out of my area as I used to see them all the time pre-2009.

Illusionyary got a reaction from 9032AP in [Solved] Unknown old siren that is unheard-ofFrom what I can find out it's technically a Smith and Wesson siren under a different name. Smith and Wesson were making emergency vehicle equipment until the '80s when their line was transferred to another company which then became C&V Electronics, who made the CV-100. C&V didn't seem to last that long and were acquired by Premier Hazard in the early '90s which is why it sounds so similar to those sirens.
Take a look at the Smith and Wesson siren box, it's extremely similar, sharing the same dial design and colour scheme. This is the Model 800, it sounds extremely similar too.

Illusionyary got a reaction from Not AJ in Two Different Issues. Traffic Stops and Callouts.I was quite excited to go back to my routes and play some LCPDFR but the compatibility patch is so broken I don't see the point when you can't even pull over cars, which is one of the main features of the mod. I understand development has shifted toward GTA V and/or Red Dead Redemption but it's extremely disappointing being unable to play LCPDFR, especially as I consider GTA IV to be a superior game to GTA V in more ways than one.
Is there any work around for this? The only thing I can think of is to install a separate version of the game and install an older game patch (1.0.7.0), but the game runs like complete shit on modern hardware outside of the newest complete edition patch.

Illusionyary got a reaction from MitzeeV1 in Ignorant asking for help. You can run both at the same time with little issues provided keymaps don't overlap. I've ran both before without issue, however I'd reinforce what is said above and remove Arrest Manager for now as Albo isn't reguarly updating it. There's another mod that adds more police stations and jails if you're using Arrest Manager for that aspect.

Illusionyary got a reaction from Corey6501 in Suggestion - British/USA filterYou're better off putting in common car names used by British agencies such as BMW, Vauxhaul, Mercedes, Hyundai, etc. Also look on GTA5Mods, lots on there too.

Illusionyary reacted to The Loot in Vehicle Naming (GXT2/HASH)You can keep all the custom name strings, just change the gamename strings in the meta entry and the gxt2 files to something like just the model names for each vehicle.

Illusionyary got a reaction from Reddington in Finding people in weird positions around mapI had the same issue, I was dumbfounded by it too. Turns out it's caused by World of Variety, it's outdated and doesn't support the latest patch. Uninstall it and all should be good.

Illusionyary got a reaction from IFFYISBEEFY in Should UK Police Be Given Standard Issue Guns? The amount of gun violence in the UK is very low when compared to the United States and other countries. In-fact, it's one of the lowest in the world. I see no reason why officers shouldn't have access to fire-arms (say, in the trunk of their vehicles) but I personally do not think they need a fire-arm on their duty belt.

Illusionyary got a reaction from Kreemerz in I did a clean install of GTAV (Steam)... how do I back it up before LSPDFR?I just copy the original directory into a separate folder so if I need to I can just copy and paste things back. RagePluginHook has an option to back up your original files too.

Illusionyary got a reaction from UnknownBastion in Finding SirensA few years ago when I had to be transported to another hospital in the back of an Ambulance, being the nerd I am, I asked the paramedics I was with what siren they used. They had no clue whatsoever, but since it was late at night they did put the siren on for a brief period just for me, haha. 😂

Illusionyary got a reaction from s0ner in Local Law Enforcement Agency/Local Police ForceI've done a ton of these but what the hell, here's mine.
We don't have any City or State Agencies (Beside the AFP - Australian Federal Police) so I mostly see these rolling around all of Western Australia.
Perth, Western Australia
General Duties
Newer Units, WAPOL recently bought multiple Subaru WRX cars to be fitted as unmarked or general duties.
The lightbar can be seen fitted on the dashboard.
Highway Patrol
Special Units
And the Police Helicopter of course!
The uniform usually consists of a light blue shirt and dark blue pants however most officers wear reflective tactical vests.

Illusionyary got a reaction from Ben in Houston officer kills unarmed man walking w/ trousers downSeems cops in the States are too eager to go to deadly force right away these days. There was absolutely no need for it, this guy was unarmed and non-combative towards the officer, he could have been subdued with a nightstick, pepper spray or a taser, but no, now he's dead.
It's incidents like these that only lead to more mistrust of law enforcement.

I'm baffled anyone could think this shooting was justified.
The dude had his pants down. Please explain to me how he was any kind of threat to the officer. He couldn't even run towards him without tripping over his own pants for eff sake. In no way he could have been fast enough to stab the officer like that. He was showing no sign of aggressivity. He wasn't attenting to the officer's life whatsoever. Taser, paper spray, tonfa were the way to go. Yes, taser has a small chance of not working. Same for paper spray. But then again, so what? Plenty of officers use them on a daily basis against much more dangerous targets, and you're going to tell me pulling a gun at this guy was legit? The dude was showing no sign of aggressivity, it wasn't a moment of rush. The officer just decided to go for the lethal way out right away rather than trying a non-lethal solution beforehand, or even to just talk the dude out of it. You know, de-escalating rather than drawing the gun on the first opportunity.
The lack of empathy is sickening. "Society will move on without him". "Another POS taken care of". The only thing that comes to me when I read that is "wtf", especially since you know nothing about the guy. But I'll use an argument I've seen in another thread (wink wink nudge nudge): wait until it happens to someone close to you, and we'll see how you feel about it then.
