Open your main GtaIV folder and find "Trainer.ini" Open it and in defaults section find this line..... KeyBindingsDisabled=1 //Key Bindings (except menu keys) disabled on startup Note that keybindings disabled is set to =1 , If it says 0 (zero) change it to 1 (one). close and save. That might help. You will still be able to open and close SNT using the F3 - 4 keys I think it is and then use the ingame menu. If that fails copy the Trainer.ini file from the origional download and overwrite the copy in your GTA folder. That should set everything back to default.

In your Diagnostic it says you have Dsound asi loader. I'm no genius at reading these things but don't instal with Xlive and Dsound. Just one or the other. Try again without Xlive. Reinstall or find xlive.dll in your main folder and delete. EDIT : Just seen your second post. ok, well i dont know if installing Xlive to start with leaves some kind of trace behind or not but look in your main folder and make damm sure "xlive.dll" is not in there Oh, and run game as admin. Right click / run as administarator.

Yeah the short answer is there is no release date because the Dev team haven't given a date. This is most likely because as pointed out they are still in a phase of bug chasing and making sure the product is as good as thay can get it to. Each release is a step nearer to a complete and finished final product. And anyone who plays games knows just what happens to the quality of games when deadlines are placed on them. As said, it will be done when it's done. In the mean time we have a bloody good quality RC1 to play with. you prob' meant no harm, but posts that are basically "are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet" can be damageing to the procuct and the community.

Yeah I used to, and still do sometimes deliver cars all over the country to customers who lease cars long term, normally through a corporate deal. I get to drive a lot of different stuff quite often brand new with 0.8 miles on the clock. These have come straight of a car transport. When I first started I thought all new cars smelt of burning lol as most cars you get new have been driven at least 5 miles to burn off the coatings on the exaust etc. A new car should be treated gently to "run in" the new engine. However, I thrash the crap out of them :p Makes a nice change when I get these jobs as for the last 10 years I have been driving a slow arse lorry for work :( EDIT: Ooops, sorry didn't realise just how much off topic I had gone : / sorry :)

Excellent ! I knew you would work it out eventually:) As to car shaking... I downloaded a model once and the car would shake when it came to a standstill. I thought it was a handling / susspension error but no matter what I changed it had no effect, so in the end I came to realise it was an error with the model so I know what you mean by the model freaking out if everything is not quite right. Seriously thinking about looking into Zmodeller now lol. Your fault ! I have no idea about adding laptops etc without getting errors but Keep at it, with a bit of advice from the right people you will work it out I'm sure :)

100% No. They are tools used to extract and import files for modding. Not needed to play LCPDFR. But are needed if you want to mod your erm...mod

LCPDFR comes with "stock" vehicles. The ones you get in GTA IV are in LCPDFR too. You can select to drive at the begining both police cars , FIB cruiser, Noose cruiser , Noose stockade or police stockade and patriot. As mentioned if you want special modded cars you will have to import them yourself.

Yep I use middle mouse too. That will turn siren on / off. I also have ELS mapped to another key which gives my the ability to cycle through the 3 modes. (And I agree, down repping someone for stating their opinion is childish. There are other sites available that specialise in that.)

Did you click "rebuild" and "save" in spark after importing the new car files ? This can easilly be missed.

Indeed, great to see members who get better and more skilled each day. Maybe it's the helpfull atmosphere, but this site seems to produce more people than anywhere else who start of with no skills at all and end up teaching themselves all sorts of stuff related to modding. Keep it up aparna and gl with the tail lights.

There is no way no. not that I know of anyway. Anyway I have the opposite problem. I get annoyed when I get a call for a domestic in central park East and I'm not even on the central island. I get sent to charge island a lot for the shootout as well. But on the whole if you move about you tend to get calls all over. If you patrol an area then chances are call are gonna come out of that area.

Not sure about session. But roleplay in the context of LCPDFR can be light at one end, to full on extreme at the other. Playing the game and taking decisions based on the character your playing. In this case a cop. This can affect moral decisions as well as gameplay. You could be a bad cop for example. Some examples are NB's preview vids on youtube, these can easily be classed as roleplay where he actively plays as a cop and all his decisions and actions are in context of being a cop. Sometimes to very accurate levels of reality... Some take it as far as they can go and choose to have all the cars, lights, and uniforms as close to real as they can for whatever police force they want to portray. Some will be a mix of adapting game content to roleplay and a mix of roleplaying a character. There are even player made third party programs to assist in roleplay and add other dimensions to it. Whether you know it or not, as soon as you do anything in this game like a traffic stop or arrest someone you are roleplaying to a certain extent. As to a session ? Not sure what is meant by that but thats pretty much what roleplay is in this context. As said in post above it is most likely a group hitting multiplayer. In realife I roleplay at being an adult, but i'm not very good at it.

ELS cars : You have to export the paintjob image / livery from the .wtd file relating to that car with something like sparkiv. Then using something like photoshop or Gimp change the colour, then re'import it. If you know how to add ElS cars to the game then Importing new liverys is pretty much the same process of using spark to replace files. As for changing the colour of the car if it's just a simple all over colour change then I'm sure someone will do that for you if you don't know how.

Lol I'm guessing aparna has used the dollar sign on MS on purpose as Microsoft is rolling in money and Billy boy is one of the wealthiest people on the planet. In fact just as R* caught on for Rockstar I think I am going to use M$ from now on when talking about Microsoft :) Seems to fit their image well.

He has a point, but you only need to download it once. I have GTA IV and now EFLC on steam. GTA IV took nearly 18 hours to download and my connection is pretty good. Once downloaded I moved the GTA file out of steam and I run it seperately so my steam client doesn't run at the same time as playing. I also copied a back up of the GTA file so I wont have to DL it again if anything goes wrong. Long story short. Digital, well steam at least I can say plays LCPDFR no probs and is no different than any other copy. That sad though, for convenience there are times I still wish I had a physical disk. I was too lazy to go to the store

I used to use AVG for several years, but I changed to Microsoft security essentials and I am pleased with the results. It don't use a ton of resources either. Way back I had Norton when the choices were very limited but found it freaked out at the slightest thing. Tried a free year long trial of Kaspersky too and thought it was pretty good but also tended to be a bit over protective. And once the trial ran out, well what can I say...MS security essentials is free :) As far as ELS V6 download goes as long as it's genuine the product is ok. The link in this site was ok when I used it.

Export the one you want onto desktop. Then re'inport it over the rest. So you end up with 4 copies of the one you want. Making sure to press "save and close" after each import. I don't think sparkiv allows you to delete files which is why I overwrite the ones I dont want. If you want to delete them alltogether (which isn't needed really) I think openIV allows that.
