  1. Unfortunately, most minority groups don't see it that way. I'll use the Hispanics as an example. They REFUSE to assimilate. They REFUSE to learn fluent English. They WILL NEVER BE Americans because they don't want to be. They WANT to be Mexicans, Cubans, Panamanians, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the minority groups like to have the pseudo-race war EXCEPT the Asian demographic. They've assimilated. Some African Americans have trouble letting go of the past and feel that they're still owed for pre-~1865. We've arguably treated the Asians just as bad, if not worse, yet they've moved on and are quite happy and actually accept being Americans. Hell, Japanese Americans don't hate against us, and we locked them up and took their land away less than 100 years ago! Sorry if I seem to be beating around the bush, but a large percentage of African Americans hold a serious grudge against Whites. Not all, I know a lot that don't hold that grudge, but a serious chunk of them do.
  2. Wow. Some people are ignorant as hell, on both sides. Edit- After many attempts at trying to write something here, I feel like it'd be futile and people would be somehow offended by reality. So I'll just leave it with this. What just happened in Ferguson, is why racism WILL NEVER END in the US. Asshats like Al Sharpton is why racism WILL NEVER END. Biased media sites is why racism WILL NEVER END.
  3. How could I have forgotten the P-51 Mustang and the P-47 Thunderbolt? Most modern planes today pay homage and incorporate the doctrines of these 2 planes. I'm tempted to buy the Warthog HOTAS, but I can't bring myself to shell out that kind of money for a controller, nor do I have the space. Is it worth it?
  4. There's a shit ton wrong with the official report the commission published. The Government isn't being totally truthful about something; but what, No one knows. But if a group that hates the hell out of the western world and is willing to blow themselves up over it, takes responsibility for it, why would anyone doubt them?
  5. What?! Because you're spanked, you're saying there's a correlation between being sexist, and racist? I think even Freud would disagree with you on that one.
  6. Yes, people are taking it way too far. I'm not talking about beating a kid. I'm talking about spankings, or whips on the butt with a belt. There's nothing wrong with that. There's a reason it was used for centuries.
  7. Totally agree. This is why all the kids today are so defiant to even authority figures. I knew I done fucked up when my father pulled out the belt.
  8. He could have been held as an unlawful combatant. Extremely rare and exceeding circumstances, but could be true.
  9. It's a biased guy, throwing more bias on an already biased article.
  10. Unlikely. This hasn't exactly been "new news".
  11. No doubt, I don't deny that. That's why I try to look at unbiased, and unfiltered news sites when it comes to controversial issues. In opening up the doors, you may very well risk the safety and confidentiality of potential informants, witnesses, detectives, etc. Like I said right above, I don't doubt that. But when it comes to controversial issues, I try not to read or look at biased news sources. I never actually read that particular article about Snowden but I'll take your word for it. In this particular case nothing concrete was proven. They through one interview out of a guy who sounds like he's BSing a story that never happened. There aren't that many facts that they provide. Instead they turn to loaded words to attempt to persuade the reader to believe it's "denying innocent civilians their rights."
  12. That's why I HATE the Guardian. They are a bunch of leftist, liberal journalists, who try to make something so big, when it's not. As said above, they're using loaded words and statements to make this place seem so much worse than it is. If they were unbiased, they'd simply say something along the lines of "In Chicago, there is a nondescript building housing a special investigations unit and emergency response unit of the CPD. In there, they have holding cells and benches for questioning and charging potential suspects. Generally, the public is turned away due to the nature of their investigations and to protect the identity of their officers." I consider myself mostly a righty, but this was my best attempt at making it as unbiased as possible. I don't have to use loaded words and phrases like "dilapidated warehouse", "military-like vehicles", "cages", etc.
  13. The game has established itself as a WW2 game. It's garnished a bit of a cult following. But there are always mods that make it pretty much whatever era you'd like. Try playing HOI3 and you'll see that the core game play and heart of the game just wouldn't work with a Cold War era game. Personally a WW1 game would be better.
  14. Yet 98% of America lives and dies here happily, inviolated. Why do you have a vendetta against America? Every topic that has a black mark against America, you're always quick to hate; one may even think you take it personally. I'm just curious, is all.
  15. That's not saying that lawyers are prevented from seeing their clients. And maybe that gentleman was right. I, personally, don't believe him. He sounds like he's obviously bullshitting or exaggerating what he's saying. Again, just my opinion. The guardian is one of the most liberal sites anyways. That's why they wrote a story, to make something so minor into something bigger. Nothing in that article has stated people are routinely held for >72 hours, and always being denied a lawyer. That's actually pretty common throughout America, unfortunately. And to people so "shocked" by this: This has been publicity known for awhile. This isn't new. Do you really think Obama, who's been trying to shut down G'tmo, would let this fly? There are WAY too many organizations and entities out there that could slam Chicago PD if there was something horrible going on here.
  16. Nowhere in that article does it state they're not allowed to contact anyone. Again, I don't see it stated that the police are "making it difficult" for lawyers to see their clients. I refer you to my two reasons in my above post. There's no law that says that people must be locked up in a nice looking building, with beds, and spacious interrogation rooms. There's nothing inhuman about anything they're doing there.
  17. It did not say they were not allowed to speak to lawyers. It said few lawyers and attorneys were granted access which still isn't a crime. It just means that either A) they never charged AND interrogated people there, or B) the suspect never asked for one. MOST states adhere to 72 hours without being charged. The gentleman interviewed said he was held for 17 hours, which is perfectly legal.
  18. So what was so wrong here? Sounds like the Guardian is trying to make a big deal out of something it is not. There's nothing illegal going on here.
  19. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA! Tell her there's a reason God gave you a right hand, warm baby oil, and the internet.
  20. Straight Jack. He never fails me. Sam Adams Oktoberfest is my preference. And is bad to admit I'm a wino? I'll drink any wine, and any vintage.
  21. I agree that their recruitment would take a hit. Although I just don't see that impacting them. There is A LOT of Islamic extremism propaganda out there.
  22. None of that would impact them. If you know their names and addresses, their either in the ME which is what we already know. If they're in other Western countries, then it wouldn't matter because it is illegally obtained evidence. Best they could do is put them under surveillance. I can tell you a huge chunk of their economy comes from selling poppy, which is legal there. Shutting their websites down does nothing. Their crimes and atrocities are done in the real world, not cyberspace. ------------------------------- Am I the only one who realizes how hypocritical Anonymous is? "Defenders of Free Speech" denying a group their right to free speech (no matter how bad it is).
  23. Again proves my point, there were major groups and events at that time. You had recent, severe anger at Israel for defeating the Arab armies, and all that anger was directed at the US and western nations for supporting them.
