what in gods name did i just watch....

I've tried to watch some of your OMSI videos, and the German is what bores me in a way. I can't pronounce it, and it scares me. Haha!

What have you guys bought or are planning to buy during the Steam Holiday Sale? I've spent about 20$ and got about 5 quality games. Not bad, I'd say. F1 2013 Chivalry Shogun 2 Farcry 3 Sleeping Dogs Granted I own most on the console, it's nice to play them with better graphics and mods on PC. What have you all bought?

State of Decay let me down a little. I wanted more customization, and it doesn't feel solid. Thankfully, Dayz standalone came out. Granted it's in Alpha, it's still pretty good.

Honestly, to me, it doesn't look they shot at his door before he exited. It look like smoke from his tires. To me, it just doesn't look like gun shots. And again, this is after we've watched the video 20 different times. But in those 10 seconds. You have a suspect who you don't know exactly what's wrong with him ( sure he was suspected of DUI, but that's just a suspicion) driving with disregard for public safety, he wrecks out, tries to drive away again, gets out of his vehicle, and disobeys the police's orders (Yes he probably was stunned, but again, think "heat of the moment"), turns to walk away from the police (fleeing), so the officer decided to open fire. I'd like to see a full write up of the event, after the facts and evidence is gathered.

Just out of curiosity, but has it been reported that there was an actual gun belonging to the suspect?

Well the way I took it, he wasn't "walking towards the police" He was trying to get away. I do believe he was "stunned". But, to a cop who was just chasing you, disobeying him and then turning to walk away from him (which the suspect did do) the cop took it as him "running away". My instructor for Criminal Justice has a grudge against the public when viewing and reviewing police actions. The public will always nit-pick, debate, condemn, and damn the officer. But until you get behind the wheel and chase a suspect doing 70 through city streets with a disregard for the lives of the other drivers, not knowing what is truly wrong with him, and then have him wreck out and immediately get out and walk away from you and disregard your directives only to have a split second to decide to take the shot or not, you should't be saying anything. "you" isn't directed towards you, c13. But towards the public in general.

Same. I'm glad its finally released, however I'm holding off on buying it. So far, it looks like a minor step up from the mod. Even with the new features, and features they want implemented, doesn't warrant 30$ to me. Just my opinion.

I was confused when rewatching it as well. It looks like he's dazed and just trying to push the door open. Not like he was trying to surrender.

Well the suspicion of being drunk. They didn't know for sure. What IF, the man was mentally ill, or having a violent outburst for whatever reason. The carnage he caused may not have been over. Honestly, the police would have looked bad, if they let him run off and later killed a family in their house. Sure that's hypothetical, but you can't assume anything as a cop. Especially in LA. Again, I feel like the police could have handled it differently, however I feel it was a clean shoot. I don't wanna come off as sounding like a gung-ho, trigger happy cop supporter, but I do feel the shooting was within the context of the law.

In my opinion, the shooting was justified. As I said in my previous post, he posed a danger to officers and the public simply due to the fact that he's driving at an insane speed through city streets and endangering the lives of the public (traffic, pedestrians, ect). The man could have been drunk, a mentally ill person, a psychopath, angry rampage, which the cops would have to take into consideration with how aggressive this man is driving. I believe they felt that even after he crashed his car, he still posed a severe threat to the public and themselves, so they took him down. Do i believe the shooting was justified? Absolutely. Do I believe it could have been handled differently? Absolutely.

Right now, I'm using Savior's ENB. However, when I used Game4Videos ENB, the lights looked like a more deeper blue. So would replacing ENB effect files with Game4Videos effect work? I'm gonna try that now, but is that the proper file to edit?

Just took my exam for one of my Criminal Justice courses, and one of the questions got me thinking about this topic. In the US Supreme Court case, Tennessee v. Garner, ruled that a LEO chasing a fleeing, unarmed suspect may exercise lethal force if the suspect poses serious harm to the public or the officer. While crashing into multiple cars (not simple fender benders either) indicates a more aggravated or aggressive nature of the suspect, this shooting I believe is clean. Already causing significant harm to the public and then attempting to flee, I believe would be justified as the suspect posing serious harm to the public or officer. Could the officers have tried to take the suspect down non lethally? Sure, but the shooting was clean. Excerpt from the the Opinion of the court.

I don't think it has anything to do with ELS, though. I have a feeling it's tied to the ENB. However, I don't want to switch ENBs if I can avoid it, but just want to know which, if any, file contained in an ENB has any affect on the tone of the lights.

I've already tried that. I've tried making them a darker blue, but they still appear as an aqua color.

Is there a way to make the ELS lights more of a blue? Currently, my lights are more of a aqua blue, but I'd prefer to have them a deeper blue. I know it's having to do with the ENB I'm using, as I've used the same cars with different ENBs and had my lights look different in color tone. So really, I'm just wonderin if there's a file included in an ENB that affects the color tone of the lights? Or, just any way to make my lights more of a deeper blue.

Not sure if this is directed more towards LCPDFR 1.00 or ELS, but with 1.00 trying to integrate controller support, is it possible that we'd be able to map ELS controls to a controller? I'm not sure if there would have to be a special coding in LCPDFR to allow other scripts and mods to be able to use a controller for more stability, or if it is completely on Caine to integrate controller support. Would be nice to have a smooth gameplay without having to switch between controller and keyboard rapidly just to toggle lights and change siren tones.

Cool. Id be willing to bet those 2 files are bogging down your pc. Although it's odd it's just now affecting your pc now, unless you just happened to get them the very last time you used your pc.

Before you decide to wipe it, do a malware scan, but also try to defrag, and check what programs are running in the background and on bootup (task manager > Processes and services)
