But there's a lot of things that could have happened that we're not aware of. Such as the female going for his gun, or what he though was her going for his gun. I promise you, if I see you even remotely trying to grab my gun, I'm gonna break your arm, and make sure you stay down. That's my life in jeopardy. Now she obviously wasn't complying with him, which explains his repeated blows, but definitely excessive. I don't blame cops in Cali, going batshit crazy. That's a crazy as hell place to Serve and Protect.

+ Greater Visibility- Lights on or off, they're more "eye-catchy" to the public. They're easily identifiable and known. +More options- possibility for TDs, TAs, or other lighting setups without taking up space or needing multiple modules. +Officer Safety- ties in with TD/TAs, as well as makes them more visible when responding. -Costs a SH!T ton more compared to slicktops- there is a reason why smaller/poorer departments prefer slicktops. It's also the reason why we use slicktops where I'm at. -The drag- obvious aerodynamics. It's the reason why a lot of Highway Patrol agencies use slicktops, or are transitioning to Valors. Like CHP has gone almost exclusively to slicktop CVPIs.

Just google "xxx game runs poorly on windows 8". What you'll get is a huge amount of posts from around release time. I'm not gonna turn this into a flame war. But yes, I've done the same exact stuff you've done on release. I worked as a PC technician with certs, as well as certified from MS before Windows 8 launched ( which is how I got my copy). I demo'd, serviced, and sold just as you. As far as speed goes, that varies from the actual Hardware in the pc (cpu, mem, SSD or HDD). From my experience, and from what I've been reading on various forums, the theme seems to be legitimate complaints about Windows 8 being worse for gaming than 7. You pretty much proved my point, by saying that all OS's are buggy on release. Win 8 still has bugs, more so than 7 just because they've had longer to fix 7. Although in the future, 8 will be better, regardless. Game devs will start optimizing for 8 over 7. And please stop assuming I'm a "hater because it's hip", "I'm unqualified".

Now you're just assuming I've never heard it. I'm well aware of the shitty support and builds of their cards. And the fact that that card is relatively new. However you can't ignore the fact that Windows 8 was a cluster F on release. I can remember when it first came out that games ran like shit on it due to bugs and horrible optimization. 8.1 was a step in the right direction but there are still bugs that remain, and to me, I'd rather not game on it. I'm just saying you can't put all the blame on AMD for it not working. Microshaft is to blame just as much.

Actually 8 and 8.1 is crappy with certain gfx cards due to driver compatibility. I had 8.1 and installed a new AMD R9 280x and ran into a whole host of issues with drivers and compatibility and fps drops. When I rolled back to 7 (win 8 just never appealed to me), all those issues seemed to go away, and my FPS stabilized.

As I said before, I am in law enforcement, and I am happy that this precedent was passed. While I do agree that what does piss me off is all those damn "How to answer a cop's questions" videos on youtube, there is a clear line of invasion of privacy AND what reasonable expectation of privacy is, and blatant disregard for any cooperation between civvies and LEOs.

This goes a long the lines of the whole NSA spying thing. HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIO TIME: I may be an upstanding citizen and have a clean record and be law abiding. But lets say for whatever reason I'm legally detained by the police, for lets say, making too much noise with a couple friends at my house. The police go through my phone and find personal/intimate/sexual/embarrassing/slanderous texts/pics/vids/emails. Just the simple fact that they've seen whatever it is on my phone is an invasion of my privacy. It's come a long way from simply having a flip phone with a few random texts or numbers. Now your whole identity and history can be found on your phone due to all the accounts that have to connect. This is coming from someone who is in Law Enforcement.

Not sure what laws regarding this topic are in other countries, but at least in the US LEAs now require a warrant to search your cell phone. Funny because I was just watching a COPS episode where the officer arrested a young girl and looked through her phone to find her dealer. Maybe because I'm a cynic, but am I the only one that gets slightly annoyed at people posting this SAME EXACT topic on all kinds of forums, all over the internet? Is it because people wanna "show off" there PC's to other people and share there specs for bragging rights?
