Go with a different processor. Personally, for gaming, I'd go with an i7 or at least i5 Ivy Bridge. No game really uses 8 cores, at the most 4 cores. Plus you'll get better clocking and overclocking, if you're up for the task.

Well 2 things: For one, GTAIV is the worst port to the PC. They did a half-ass job and shipped it. So a lot of the instability does come from GTAIV being horrible. Second, It's not like R* has endorsed modding of any kind. They never released "dev tools" or anything of the sort. Every mod out there for GTAIV is custom made and scripted.The simple fact that they're able to code this stuff AND get it to work with a game that has no business really supporting mods, is an achievement by itself. Also it's not like these devs are dedicated to this mod. They have other stuff in their lives (school, work, ect). This is in their spare time. Like I told another member here, I consider this GTA's "DayZ mod" It's COMPLETELY alters the core gameplay, with new animations, controls, and features.

I've looked over the list of controls and played around with different button configurations, but is there a way to "mark" a suspect like in 0.95? As in you could "mark" them as wanted and the AI police would go after them. Is it still 3, by default? I've tried pressing 3 and nothing happened, so I'm just wondering if it's a feature taken out, or if it's been binded to another key. It's probably obvious, and I completely missed it.

In all honesty, there are only a certain number of people that are looking for ANYTHING like LCPDFR, or even Police Pursuit. It's a niche mod. I found it just by googling "police games" and got a bunch of youtube videos for this mod. It's not something that appeals to everybody.

I'm now in the same boat as you.... As I stated previously I spend about 20$. That quickly turned into the neighborhood of about 100$ ... Thank God for Christmas money.
