Sheriff and police officer
Generally speaking, There are 4 tiers of law enforcement in the US: Local/City Example: New York Police Department (NYPD) Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Chigaco Police Department (CPD), Pretty much anything with "PD" in it. Officers in a Police Department have jurisdiction inside of that city. They patrol the area, work community projects, have anti-gang, detective and SWAT units, and are generally in charge of Law Enforcement in the city. Officers are called "Police Officers" (or sergeant, if higher ranking, and so forth). Most of these departments make up the largest law enforcement agencies in the US. The Chief is appointed by the Mayor of the Cuty. County Example: Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department, Broward County Sheriffs Office, Mendocino County Sheriff's office Sheriff's offices/departments vary a lot from state to state, so I'll be speaking mainly for California Sheriffs offices, but many rules are universal. County Sheriffs departments deal with Law Enforcement at a County Wide basis. Rural coverage is a big thing, Along with Anti Gang and Anti drug works across a larger area (very important up here in Mendocino, as major grows occur all over the place). Many Sheriffs offices cover cities that don't have their own department by contracting out, like the LASD does, or by appoint "resident deputies" who reside in the town and generally act as the cops of said town. The Sheriffs department is also in charge of running a functioning county jail. (Jail = Place for new criminals and people convicted of less then one years worth of time. Prison -= everyone else) State: Examples: California Highway Patrol (CHP) Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Nevade department of public safety (DPS) State Police agencies, often called "Troopers" or "Highway Patrolmen" often deal with Highways, rural area's and major investigations on a state wide scale. In the San Fransico bay area, the CHP is a major traffic enforcement unit, keeping traffic flowing and drunks off the street. Many State Police agencies also provide security in VIP cases, and assist City and County officers in operations. Federal: Examples: Federal Bureau of Investigations, (FBI) Drug Enforcement Agency, (DEA) Bureau of Alchol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives. (BATFE, or just ATF) Federal Agencies are specialized, but they generaly deal with Major crimes, such as Drugs, (DEA) Explosives and Weapons (BATFE) and major crimes/manhunts (FBI).

spike strip
Even if it was a spike strip, it's in a spot apperently made for the sole purpose of screwing with parking cars. "Yeah Tim, I have the presintation on my laptop. I just got into the building, I'll be there in 5 min- *pop* What the f*ck was that? Is the a goddam spike strip? WHY IS THAT IN A PARKING GARAGE!?"

I haven't seen any skins for a north carolina state highway patrol car on LCPDFR yet
Well, skins are made by the whim of us makers. No one has done it yet, but hunt around www.gtapolicemods.com for it. Lot' of cars in the download section, even more in the showroom. Happy hunting. Also, this probably isn't the best kind of post, though I'm proud you didn't just open a post saying "OMGEEZERS I WANTS THE NCHIGHWAYPATROLZ UP IN MY GTAZ BITCHEZ, MAKE ME THIS SHITZ NOWZ1!!!1"

Police Clothes for Niko
Sam got the police belt and badge to detach, and I've since seen in in a few videos. Is it possible to do easily on our own?

An Organize option with police officers ^idea^
Just use ALM for textureing. If you want a different model, well, your screwed. However, you can use the trick to get NOOSE, FBI and PolStockaed to drive around with cops (Fbi in FBI and such) and just stick them in pop_somethingrather_Jersey. You'll have LCPD models, but with the right texture, and whatever other model you want driving around as well.

Flashing.. lights, lights, lights
Well, I bet the criminals will never see it coming. "Say, is that a car flying above us a police unit?" "No, not at all"

Red Dead Redemption
I loved the game myself. The machanics felt great, and I felt rewarded for my choices. It's probably the only game I watched every. single. cutscene in, excluding Heavy Rain. There were a few cinematic moments that could have been beefed up a bit, but the whole thing was marvolious. I spent 3 hours playing Texas hold 'um with my mom coaching in the background.

Ped texture discoveries
Speaking on the Glove issuie, I know there is a pair of fingerless gloves for Niko. Is there a physical model of gloves that can be applied to cops, or are we only able to texture on fake ones? (which only distracts from the arm problem)

What are these guys called?
Well, I was going to one-up the Violence, but we all know Jay has the most originally violent plan of all of us.

Police Skin/Model Mods
This is my favorite thread. Not only can we have an updated belt, but we can easily get some female cops that aren't just reskined nurses? Hells yeah!

Ask Sam questions about stuff
Well, for a technical question, do you know if it would be possible to develop a mod where all types of Officers spawned everywhere, instead of a random switch between All skinny and All fat cops in LC, and just Troopers in Alderney? Tried to phrase that so it didn't sound like a request. I figured that since you managed to get ALM to work, and Custo seems to know his way around Ped spawning, it might be something that could work out. Do you think it could?

Expected performance
Oh, I was short listed for beta tester a while ago, and my title changed to it when beta testing started. I thought it went back to normal a while ago, but I guess it didn't. :b Alrighty then, looks like I better buy this guy before it disappears.
