  6. I personally believe that the cop pants one looks the best, more professional. Minor tip, you should probably make a new normal map (GIMP has a plugin for it) because of the lack of badge or patch holders. Or else simply write POLICE on the back and front, without a badge. Also, as you seem to be taking requests, you thing you might be able to make a 'true' short sleeve uniform for the cops? Basically, get rid of those awful thermal sleeves so we can stop painting them skin colored. This would require actual model editing, not just mix-and-matching +new textures, so it'd be a little harder, and possibly out of the scope of your ability.
  7. Nope, I have a 660ti 2gig and even medium settings will screw up shadows and texture loading all the time.
  8. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe this is related to illumination.

  10. Basically, in ped .wdd's, there are sometimes special items with the prefix '_suse'. These are usually bags around the back or backpacks, but in some cases they are unique (the fatcops gunbelt and the security guards earpiece). I'm currently working on a mod that would add a radio on the shoulder to most cops, but I've hit a problem. I've had evanscornelius isolate the radio and get it into a .wdd for me. I then took it and put it into m_y_cop, and added it to the pedVariation.dat. All is swell, till I fire up SNT and try to add special 1, then GTA IV crashes. I tried exporting the blank suse's (they are tiny little box's near the waist) into the cop wdd too, but to no avail. Anyone who's worked on peds; you know what the trick is? Any tutorials out there to help us out?

  12. Just a minor note on the trafficlight fix (the script that makes them solid). There is a chance it'll cause some pretty nasty stuttering whenever you drive places. Also, the light poles are roughly as resilient as the Battery Bridge, nothing knocks them down and minor collisions can damage the front of your car pretty bad.
  13. Turns out it was an error with pedVariation.dat. I've got it fixed now. We're good. (In the event that someone comes across this via google, replace with backups: componentped.img and your common/data folder. It should fix it. If not, try a new save game, restarting your computer, etc.)
  14. Well, it appears that the solid traffic light mod was the culprit. Removed it, and flew a helicopter around at max speed, no basketball hoops or stuttering. However, once I closed out and tried to come back in, my game started SMPA30 erroring. I've got a new support thread for that, as I consider this issue solved. Thank you all for helping, and feel free to chip in on my new problem.

  17. Figured I'd kick a support post to see if anyone with a higher end system found a fix for it. I benchmark at 60fps with everything put pretty high (90 on the 0-100 scales, very high on all settings, though I keep water at medium because I don't care about it. V-sync on) However, in game play is sub-par. I'm not expecting GTA XVIII with icEnahncer and 4th dimensional depth of field, and I honestly don't care about frame rate unless I can actually see the difference, but I was hoping my system would be capable of running the game stable. I've been testing out a uniform mod I'm working on, and to do so I turn on god mode, then shoot some things until the police show up, so I can judge their uniform. However, the game micro-stutters every 10 seconds on foot and every 3-5 in a car. Textures will flicker and occasionally not load until the last minute, just like objects, which sometimes won't load until I bump into them. Just moving the camera around will make textures pop-in and whole backgrounds disappear and reappear. Also, and I'm putting this in the "really weird" category when I use teleport or simply drive in excess of 100 m.p.h., object stop loading and instead are replaced with... basketball hoops and those washer things from car washes. It got so bad once that I was surrounded by a few buildings, the sidewalk, and about 100 basketball hoops. And to top it all off, the game will crash after 10-30 minutes of game play if anything more intense then eating a hotdog or hailing a cab happens. Sometimes I can keep prolonged shootouts going in times square, other times it'll crash when I break into a car and get noticed. Any idea's?
  18. Go back to the DL page, there is a fix in the new download (1.2). It was an error in the pedVariation.dat.
  19. The LA mod should work with any ENB. It only replaces textures and models, like crosswalks and palm tree's. ENB's play around with visual settings.
  20. It looks pretty good. I like the departments style, and you did a great job capturing it. I don't see anything wrong with what you did, and if I didn't already have the skin I like, I'd probably DL this.
  21. Just off the top of my head, there should be a mod called 'radiance' or something like it on gtapolicemods.com. It was specifically supposed to make ELS brighter.
