Car Textures
GTA V and GTA IV vanilla cars (made by Rockstar) are mapped differently to cars mapped by modelers. Unlike modelers who map the entire vehicle onto a template, Rockstar modelers only map the locations of text and badges/logos to a template. The only things you can really change in an image editing program are the logo's and writing. Assuming GTA V cars are just like GTA IV cars, the colours on the car are controlled by a data file rather than a texture someone painted on.

skinning limitations?
We will be able to, when we can start editing the models. We will be able to properly UV map the default cars so proper skins can be put on them. It will just take time.

skinning limitations?
Rockstar maps their vehicles in a way that most car mods don't do. Only the places with the decals have been uv mapped, the rest of the car is just a color the game puts on the car, it's not a texture created by someone. If that makes sense.

Norton anti-virus deletes LCPDFR
Open up Norton and go to Settings in the top right corner. Then click on Antivirus and then click on the "Scans And Risks" tab. You should see "Items To Exclude from Auto-protect, SONAR..." If you click on the configure next to these, you can select an entire folder that you can download LCPDFR into without Norton deleting it. (You may also want to exclude it from scans too) Make sure you only download mods you know are safe into the folders you tell Norton to exclude from Auto-protect, download mods you are not sure about into a separate folder.

Suggestion - add an ability for file author to respond to reviews
I think questions are supposed to go in the comment section of the file, and the review part is strictly for opinions on the file. Maybe they could introduce a moderator feature for our own files, where like forum moderators here, we can keep the review part of someone's post in the review tab, and then move the question part to the comment section where we can reply to it. That said, giving people moderator abilities on their own files does mean they can completely change a review or delete a bad one, but maybe there's a way to implement something like this without giving people the ability to censor negative reviews?

Can a police car mod be an EMS?
Yes, if you change the name of the Lamborghini.wft/wtd file to ambulance.wft/.wtd, it will become an ambulance, and will respond to murders and will be driven by paramedics like a normal GTA 4 ambulance will. However, if you have a mod that makes ambulances more functional (where there put people in the back of an ambulance) then it won't work because that is a 2 door vehicle, and might crash the game.

British grandmother prepares for execution in Indonesia
There are groups out there who are trying to get this stopped, just like the Australians who were also executed a few days ago, I presume the same organizations are involved in trying to get the Indonesian government to stop the execution. I don't think this is going to have a massive negative effect on the population of the UK as a whole. Our government even has radio adverts sating "Don't get talked into trafficking drugs, once you're in, the British government can't bail you out".

Exporting a Car Model
What program are you using? Is there no .wft option for the model?

ELS
Your ELS installation files and your ELS folder (including dsoud, scripthook and advanced hook) all need to go inside the GTAIV folder. The common folder can also be moved inside the GTAIV folder (the same directory that has the GTA4.exe) and the visualsettings.dat go in the following directory: GTAIV/common/data

Help, How to make a car template for skin.
If you had the unlocked files, then yes, that is exactly how you would do it. If you find stockade files that can be edited, then you can open them up in Zmodeler and create a new template for them. However, I don't think the stockade files in GTA 4 are editable at all.

Help, How to make a car template for skin.
You'll need to change the way the stockade is UV mapped to make a useful template (like the template that car mods have). In order to UV map the stockade, you'll need the unlocked model files. I don't think there is an unlocked GTA 4 stockade available, although I could be wrong.

about the vehicles
So it's not the default polpatriot that you're trying to edit? Are you trying to put a skin on a tahoe?
-
ELS
Right, and one of the reasons why ELS might not work is because of a mis placed file, like an .asi loader, and that's what I'm trying to find out.
-
ELS
If his LCPDFR works, then he has the .asi loaders and some other script files in the correct place, and the ELS not working is down to a different issue. If LCPDFR doesn't work, then his ELS won't work either. I am trying to see whether or not LCPDFR works, which will indicate whether or not htese script files are in the correct place.

ELS
But without an .asi loader such as xliveless, ELS won't work. LCPDFR also needs an .asi loader, such as xliveless, without one, neither script fill function. By making sure that LCPDFR works, you can easily see if you have the required loaders, and some of the required .asi files themselves.

ELS
I am checking to make sure LCPDFR works, if it doesn't work, then it is an issue with a .dll .asi or an .asi loader.

about the vehicles
What exactly do you want me to cover?

about the vehicles
They use unlocked vehicle models that have been released, however, a GTA 4 Noose Patriot model has not been released as an unlocked model. If you are talking about skin packs people make, then they use templates that are provided for that vehicle. The Default Polpatriot has been UV mapped in an awkward way which makes it almost impossible to skin properly (aside from changing badges, etc.).

Adding a police car?
Try this: There are many others on YouTube you can use if you don't want to use that tutorial. There used to be a good tutorial on this site, but I can't find it. I'm not entirely sure if you can make an added vehicle spawn in the LCPDFR car selection menu.

about the vehicles
Unfortunately, the default GTA IV models aren't unlocked as far as I know.
-
about the vehicles
Okay, so you have a skin for the default polpatriot, but it doesn't fit the model properly? So you want to change the template of the polpatriot so the skin you want works on the model? If that's the case, then you will need to edit the UV mapping of the model, you won't be able to do that without the unlocked files.

ELS
Do you have LCPDFR working properly?
-
about the vehicles
What exactly are you trying to do? Do you want to change the template to edit it and make your own skin for it? Or do you already have a skin that you are trying to use for the polpatriot?
