LSPD Character Outfits
I've just tried to download this, but it doesn't appear to be working (I'll try again later, could be an issue on my end). That said, when trying to download the file, I see this: Your download 'mpuniforms.oiv' (2.04 MB) will start shortly. So it is trying to download a .oiv file for me. You shouldn't find the .oiv file inside the archive, as the archive itself is a .oiv. .oiv files can be unzipped just like .zip or .rar files, are you sure you're not downloading a .oiv file and you're unzipping it? EDIT: Suddenly, right after typing this comment, I was able to download the file no problems, probably on my end. It's definitely a .oiv for me.

I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier, but, I was using Google Chrome when the downloads didn't work. I just tried using Firefox to download from here, and it's working fine. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I get taken to Mediafire and download the file, and it downloads instantly, which is strange for a 1gb file. The first time I downloaded, it seemed to be taking a few minutes, like you'd expect a 1gb file to do, but after a few minutes, it "insta-finished" and was suddenly 0kb.

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but I've just downloaded 3.1.1 twice from here, and twice from gta5-mods, and every time the download completes, but windows says the compressed .zip folder is 0kb. When I try to extract the .zip with the default Windows 10 extractor, it says the folder is completely empty. When using 7zip to extract it, it manages to extract just the build.oiv and nothing else. Does anyone have any idea of what's going on? Thanks.

Are you having RHP automatically load plugins upon starting the game? Or do you do it manually? If you have it done automatically, try telling RHP to start up without loading in any plugins, and then manually load them from the RHP console ingame. I have an issue where if I manually load LSPDFR, no matter what it crashes the first time. If I then simply load the plugin again, immediately after it has crashed, then LSPDFR loads without any problems. It is very strange, and I suspect an issue with RHP.

Extract your RDE_V3_01.oiv as if it were a compressed .zip folder (with 7zip for example) and open this up, then go into the content folder inside the extracted .oiv and you will find all the config files arranged in there.

I just reinstalled GTA V last night after several months of being bored with the game. I think I chose the best time to get back into the game, this is amazing, thank you to the whole team for making the mod.

What you have to do is using something like 7zip unzip the .oiv file. Inside the .oiv, open up the content folder, and you'll find a folder called LSPDFRBetterEMS, in there you will find the .xml you want.

There's an option, on the second page of the top menu of the trainer in game. It lets you enable or disable key bindings, and then lets you save those options to the .ini

If you download the CustomBackup script off this site, and use the config file that comes with this mod, then yes. SAHP and LSSD SWAT are considered a Local SWAT team, then you have NOOSE swat teams, and FBI Swat teams as specific options in the backup menu. While the config doesn't come with the National Guard, as far as I'm aware, you can make your own edits to it to add the National Guard in.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, or if the devs are aware of this, but the betterEMS config .xml doesn't seem to install, despite having built a .oiv with Emergency and betterEMS config files selected. I've extracted the .oiv and had a look inside, and the config .xml is definitely included in the package, so it seems that the problem is the the .exe included in the download, or the openIV package installer is not being told to install the EMSUnits.xml.

I think I have most of Yard's vehicles on my hard drive somewhere, I should be able to find them no problem. Thanks for the offer though, and thanks very much for the quick reply!

I had a look round in the files, but I couldn't find any templates for the mapped vehicles in the pack? Are they provided at all? Or is there some other place I can get hold of the templates for the cars? Many thanks.

RDE 3.0 completely overhauls the role of law enforcement in GTA V, adding details that you wouldn't have even thought of, which makes the vanilla wanted system look like something Rockstar developers hastily coded in one afternoon. With each wanted level you gain, and each jurisdiction you enter, you can really see the amount of hard work and effort that has gone into making this fantastic mod. Gone are the days where at the high wanted levels you were met with wave after wave of sheriff or unmarked SUV along with 3 LSPD helicopters with LSPD swat officers(even up in Blaine County). With this mod, you are met with SUV's and armoured police vehicles which change liveries (style, in terms of lighting set up, or specific model of vehicle) based on where you are. The LSPD have their own SWAT team which is different from a NOOSE SWAT team, which is different from a sheriff SWAT team etc. The same goes with helicopters; 2 types of sheriff helicopters, each crewed with their respective officers (i.e a highway patrol helicopter is manned by highway patrol officers who have their own distinct uniforms), on top of that, the police no longer just have access to the mavericks for their air fleet. Likewise, the highway patrol are not the only people who know how to ride motorbikes (the highway patrol have also learnt how to drive actual cars now as well, rather than their bikes). My last paragraph has only touched the surface of what this mod adds to the game. If you want to find out what is below this surface, you better download it and find out for yourself. This mod is very simple to install (a .oiv file), and even has the ability for you to customise the .oiv so you only get the features you want to have out of RDE. This mod is a must have in GTA V.

How do I "create" a vehicle model?
If you plan t start making models entirely from scratch, it may be worth getting some practice before you put money down on something such as ZModeler. Blender is free and has plenty of support to help you learn how to create anything you could possibly dream of. http://store.steampowered.com/app/365670/

SAHP Truck
A very nice mod,it feels different driving around in a police vehicle with all red lights, but it fits kind of well and suits the vehicle, even in a police skin.

Thank you so much for this, it's great to have something to use as prisoner transport when using retro police cars!

Emergency uniforms, not working with cop holster?
I remember Alex explaining this by saying something like there is no belt model without a gun in a holster that works with a multiplayer ped.

Emergency Uniform Pack
Make sure the plugin is loaded (you will need to open up the ragehook console, F4 is the default) and type: "loadplugin EUPClothingMenu.dll" without the quotation marks). And then press F11 to open the clothing menu.

Emergency uniforms pack - Law & Order
If you use a mod folder, then all you have to do is move it out of your GTA V folder to get back to having "online friendly" .rpf (obviously, plugins and script files etc. have to be removed manually). If you don't use a mods folder, then you will need to delete and redownload the modded files to make them online friendly.

Emergency uniforms pack - Law & Order
Download the .zip file and put it somewhere on your computer where you can find it easily. DON'T unzip or extract the file, just leave it as it is. Run OpenIV. Along the top of the window you should see things like: File Edit New View Favorites Tools Help (In that order) Click on the tools, and look for the package installer option in the submenu that comes up (it should be second from the bottom) This will ask you to select which package you want to install, so find the .zip file you installed and double click it. OpenIV will pretty much do the rest for you.

Emergency uniforms pack - Law & Order
Have you loaded the eupmenu plugin with rage hook? @Atwood16 the .zip file you download is the oiv package that you install with openiv. You don't need to extract or unzip anything. EDIT: Sorry for the reply, I didn't see that anyone had replied to both of your comments until after I posted.

Emergency uniforms pack - Law & Order
Fantastic mod with seemingly infinite amounts of customization. Incredibly easy to install with the openiv package installer, and the clothing menu makes customizing uniforms so much easier compared to the older way of scrolling through every piece of mp clothing to find the one you want.

Emergency uniforms pack 7.0
Don't unzip the .zip file you download, that is the oiv package. All you need to do is point openiv to the download, and it will do the rest for you.

Pet at University?
Adding to what Cyan said, having a pet may limit your accommodation choices simply because some landlords might not allow pets in their properties. Here in Aberystwyth, the uni doesn't allow students to have pets in student halls, and many private landlords say no pets allowed on their adverts. However, Aberystwyth is a pretty small town, so you might have a larger pool of more lenient landlords in a large town like Bristol, so you may want to do some accommodation research first.
