He breaks his 1 month old kid's leg for THIS REASON!
I've had enough of this. What's wrong with the current society? Is it the media that had access to more and more resources, or is our generation just going crazy? Remember when there were no school shootings, remember when the world was a moderately happy place? Why has it come to this? Why did a "surveillance operation" escalate to the point where it's practically war? Why did an innocent young man decide to take the lives of many innocent children and teachers and then take his own? Why would someone take the lives of innocent people enjoying their movie? Why? What's going on? What's happening?! It's all too fast paced for me. I can't keep up with the corruption of our generation.

Better Vehicles Textures
Don't mind him. It's really okay. You could've added some more interesting things like a change of design for the paramedic or the LCPD. The effort you put in wasn't that much, since there was a spelling error and since all you've basically done was add some more text. But, if you keep rolling them out, they should get better with time!

[REQ]Help with a Taurus? Or converting one?
Yeah, I understand. Just wanted to clarify some things though because you seem to have misunderstood some things. I am not asking for people to do anything for me, I'm asking for people to help me. Show me. Not do for me. As for my little back story, I'm trying to explain why. You think if I just go and say "Hey, I'm new to scratch modeling and I need help, kthnxbye <3" will really attract anyone's attention? I also offered to trade something as well. If I came off as boasting, I apologize. I actually want to prove to people I'm not a nobody with no previous work asking or "begging" for stuff. Anyway, I hope that clarified some things.

Liberty City wildlife division (SKIN) - UPDATED
Okay, although I do understand your concept, why would the LCPD have a wildlife division? I guess we're just being unique here, so good job on that. Anyway, I won't give my full 3 tier paragraph on why this isn't so good. Just a couple of things, you went overboard on text and didn't spice up the colors or have any streaks or anything. But that's fine, it's okay! I'm not really feeling it with the bear. Other than that, there's not really much you can do to make it look like a 5 star texture. Hope I didn't come off as a donkey hole to you.

LTA skin for CVPI
Okay, so I won't go full asshole on you and give you my 3 stage reason paragraph on why it's bad. Why am I not doing the 3 stage paragraph? Because it isn't shit, but it isn't gold. It's shit dipped in gold... I like the side markings, but there needs to be a bit more on the car. Unfortunately, the LTA map on the hood really ruined it. I'm sorry.

Suffolk Police Skin CVPI
Okay, so, let's do the classic way of my reviewing. I don't like to sugarcoat, so I'll tell you the bad things. Firstly, we really want in-game screenshots, it's so much more accurate than OpenIV shots. Also, you may want to work on your description since it isn't very informative. Things you'll want to include are, who made the model and where to find the model. I haven't heard of DMing, and fix up that 'mee'. Make the text a bit smaller and include a link to the original model. Then, include a short description about the texture, and possibly where Suffolk is. Try to do something catchy and cool and fictional (take a look at my Federal Signal Legend CVPI's description). Secondly, this is where I talk about small details, you missed quite a bit of things. The unit number or whatever Cope 61 is, is missing. Where has it gone? Could it be that blurry and out of place slogan we can barely read? The 116 is totally random too. Thirdly, some of the bigger more major stuff, the stripe seems kind of iffy too. It slopes upward at an awkward position and slopes at a point nothing like where it slopes on the real car. The text is also stretched quite a bit, and is way too tall. The text is very very blurry, and I know for sure since it isn't the model seeing as though it's probably Cj24's, which is very well made. Like some people have mentioned above, you can't rip a design directly from a real car, copy and paste it onto a virtual 3D one and expect it to look good. I'm sorry if I'm coming off to you as an asshole, it's just that when someone does make a bad skin, you really can't tell them it's good, because then they get more hate and don't know why. Thanks for understanding.

ems skin 1 update
Okay. I would try and give some good points on this too and not give you such a hard time, but you just need some tips to take into consideration, because the cold hard truth will make it better, trust me as a modeler/vehicle modder. Okay, here it goes: First off, when someone starts looking for a skin/model to download, they expect a professional looking name, an interesting one and one that will perhaps catch their eye. Your title shows no knowledge of appropriate punctuation or effort towards even the name. Come on man, at least click a few more buttons to make at least the name better. Second, if a person still continues over to the already not so good looking mod, they want screenshots to prove them wrong, that is, in fact, better than they thought. What you did is the exact opposite. You took bad screenshots, and very bad ones at that. Instead of using your iPad, open your eyes and try the Snipping Tool. Simple enough, huh? Also, people prefer not to just see the plain raw skin (the picture not taken with the tablet device) or in OpenIV, but in fact, in the game. It'll help determine if the person actually wants to download it or not. Here on the LCPDFR, the don't judge a book by its cover saying doesn't apply. Thirdly, and most importantly, you showed minimal effort. Even basing it off a real EMS agency would have been a better option. Simply sticking a picture on some red doesn't make it 'EMS'. Also, the Star of Life is incredibly big and un called for. Why not try and put some sort of stripe or streak on there? Also, since you must be new here, claiming you are just a beginner also isn't a valid excuse on these forums, because you're not entitled to upload things. People, including me, rush their product and end up getting bad reviews on it, when it's totally expected. You should have waited before this release, taken inspiration from other textures and just opened your eyes! Let's say you live in LA. Would you really be proud of your ambulances as vehicles in terms of looks and how much it stands out in traffic? The reason we fuss about looks is because, although they look nice, they have a function! When you see an ambulance behind you, it's really mainly its markings and possibly the lights. And finally, hold off from the uploads for now. Upload to the gallery instead, seeking tips on making your textures better. And if you didn't read that because it was too long, expect bad reviews, because I'm trying to help. Also, if you're that impatient, just hold off from modding all together. I'm not being harsh, I'm being honest.

[1.0] LCPD:FR Computer Background - LSPD
I do like these! If you do know how to code for GTA IV, use 1.0's API to make those buttons actually interact. They don't really have to do much, but what you could do, is when a call comes in, make the En-route button make you respond, and on duty button be like the equivalent of pressing the no longer busy button. Just an idea I'm throwing out there...

Does ELS vehicles contribute in Texture bug?
Theoretically, all modded cars (no matter if ELS or non) will have a larger file size, which can contribute to potentially unstable gameplay. I rarely ever get the texture bug, however, when I installed 1.0, I found myself coming across it much more. You shouldn't really be worrying about vehicles or any of that messing up your game, it's more 1.0. Nothing on you devs, but it is unstable. Just to justify it isn't any of your vehicles, what I would recommend doing is going into OpenIV and looking through all your police vehicles. On the top left corner will be a polygon count. You don't really want that to go over 130k, because that's when it starts getting a bit buggy. Anywhere above there is pushing it. I did once test the limit of GTA IV, and built a 200k poly vehicle. It caused a lot of lag and I got up to 224k and then it crashed upon spawning, while running at 18fps (my average is 65fps). Hope that helped.

Police Officer "Shades"?
Haha, they come with various models. I believe the uniforms in the Code Zero Gaming Pack have some nice looking ones, just not great cars. Hope that helped.

Maybe, maybe not. I am unpredictable. They call me the Koala. Mainly because I like to eat leaves real slow and act random.

[REQ]Help with a Taurus? Or converting one?
Over on my Teamspeak, the latest hype is about the 2013 Taurus. I would really LOVE to make one for our clan, but I can't find any unlocked Taurae (don't judge, that's the legit plural), and I'm REALLY skeptical about scratch modeling it. Even if I were to scratch model it, I'd need people to help me and walk me through it. So far, I know the basics. I know how to make the polys with the blueprints and all, however I don't really know how to texture it properly or make it optimized for GTA IV. Is anyone kind enough out there to help me? If not, possibly doing a trade for something not too big? Like a console (I haven't mastered light bars), or something small like that. It would be so very greatly appreciated. I have had some bad models, but I've come out with 2 since the bad model epidemic, and they've all got over 4 stars. Also, I have been asked to make people's clan mods and also make various packs as I have been accredited as a 'good modder/modeler'. Thanks a lot guys, I hope I won't be let down :) Thanks so much, Mustu

Some little tweaks for 1.0
The problem is, this is making it very very complex. We were blown away when we first tested out 1.0, however, we did (as a community I'm referring to) notice a larger amount of bugs than that would be usual for an initial release. For example, nothing on you developer guys, I've switched back to RC2 because of all the bugs that were encountered in 1.0. I used to crash all the time. You can't even have modded peds and the game would lag substantially more than with RC2 installed. Back on topic though, with adding all these features, there would come more bugs. See what I'm trying to say here? With more features come more bugs. As for what features you want to see that were mentioned above, I don't think the developers at Sam's secret lair can limit the amount of AI that respond, that, like you mentioned, is hard coded into the game. The developers have tried their best though, because they make you call a pursuit into dispatch in order for units to respond. So, if you're playing single player and you don't mind twisting realism a tiny bit, you don't actually need to call into dispatch, making all the other units hold off. I do agree with you on having units there already before you can even attempt to do anything, and then having the AI cops ruin the experience for you. Like I mentioned above, there's not much the devs can do in their lair, since you weren't the one who called in the pursuit. It is, however, realistic to have units there already, but I do get the point you're trying to put across - make them at least less reckless. This is another feature that's hard coded into the game. Liberty City is based off of New York. The LCPD is a parody of the NYPD, that is meant to bring out their violent side. For your issue with the roadblock, the solution lies within other mods. Try PoliceHelper or something like that, or possibly even PolicingTools. In a way, I'm kind of disappointed that the developers didn't take that into consideration. I mean, really? Spawn the roadblock at your current location? Is it not kind of common sense to make the roadblock spawn at a given waypoint? The color of the waypoint line has a workaround. >If you install the Google Maps Night Mode minimap for GTA IV, the line will be clearer and you'll get there easier. I believe it's out of their power to actually change the color of the waypoint to blue, but I believe they could change it to yellow, or something along the lines of that. Maybe even red! For your Traffic Stop Extras Again, your solution lies within the use of other mods, but I understand your frustration. After all these mods and testing them, you'd think you could search the entire vehicle, right? I guess not. There is a mod that has been released, and I think it's out of testing now (since it was in testing a long time ago when Avs was in Code Zero Gaming playing GTA IV), and I hear it's pretty stable. You can detain people in the car, but I don't know if you can question them in the back of your car. You can search your pedestrian outside of the vehicle, and when you find something on them, that's when you take them in to custody. With PoliceHelper, you can also ask for their ID, and PoliceHelper conveniently alerts you if they have any warrants or anything like that. I find the breathalyzer function with Braveheart's Policing Script doesn't actually work with 1.0! So, yes, it would only be common sense to include one, but that's a lot more work. There is a debate going on within my clan, if LCPDFR lacks features. That's your opinion though, and through this post, I'm sort of voicing mine. I, personally, don't use non-ELS cars, and if I were to discuss the feature you're proposing, this post would become an awful lot longer than it already is. Extra Command for the Action Wheel Okay, so, I did respond to lots of calls with homeless people causing trouble, and the 'evacuate area' function didn't work too well on them, or the people outside the alleyway. The evacuate feature is actually coded in the same way as a gunshot fired in public's reaction would be. When there is a big shootout, it's really chaotic. The innocent citizens are running everywhere, which does eventually get on your nerves. Again, if the devs really tried hard, they could accomplish this feature, but with that will come more bugs, which will mean more testing, which will mean a prolonged period where its release is just hanging around in the air. *breathes in*, I hope you liked that and found it useful. Sorry, I just had to mention this and celebrate: I'm 2 posts away from 500! Sorry, carry on.

Zmodeler Issues
What I recommend you doing is going into Polygon mode and deleting the partition, but you have to do it very carefully. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, I suggest you look at some more tutorials and documentation before you start making an actual car.
