  1. It's surprising how many people don't know that v7 is around or decide not to use it. ELS v7 fixes the problem by not letting the car turn off when its lights are on, just like in real life...
  2. Well look at the ALPR script. It automatically generates random plate numbers, but it doesn't change the appearance which nobody really cares about anyway. Your version does sound simpler, but probably doesn't have much of a better chance than the original's chance of implementation
  3. He's simply saying we do this stuff for fun, and money really shouldn't be involved, especially because it's between two strangers on the Internet, possibly living as far as 8000+ miles away from each other. @OP: just remove the "willing to pay part" if you can, because it's not necessary. Although, I would be amazed if somebody actually responded to this with an offer, despite the fact money may or may not be involved. It's hard to find people to do this much for you, especially for a clan which they aren't part of. It's not hard to make peds, and I'm sure there are tutorials out there. If not, when I attempt to make peds and get better at it, I may make a tutorial. So in a nutshell, no need for money.
  4. It would be realistic, but what's the point? There's really no point to it. It slows down the procedure for a traffic stop, thus making it more of a difficult task to do, and basing it on reality isn't always a good thing. Traffic stops in the real world take 10-20 minutes minimum. In GTA they take close to 1 minute and 30 seconds - and that's for a reason, you know. As I just mentioned, it'd slow down the traffic stop procedure and it would make the game substantially more boring due to the fact you actually have to take full notes. If we're talking filling in fields on the police computer about the make, year, and color of the car (as well as its license plate possibly), that'd be a better alternative, however, we'd need some sort of way of telling the player the model and make of the car. Most of us who have been playing for a while know most of the models, and possibly makes, but the year is actually unsaid within the game itself, but I'm guessing most of the vehicles range from 1970 - 2001. Nothing newer than that. After all, this is meant to bring out the bad side of NY (kind of). Although your idea is an interesting and a very creative one, it'd be hard to implement, and with additions also come bugs, which means a longer testing phase. The staff have just released 1.0, so the likelihood of them releasing a new version is very low. Also, on top of the note taking method, we'd need to actually have a way of finding out what make of car, model of car, and the year make of the car we are pulling over - which means yet more bugs, an even longer testing phase and more people disagreeing with this implementation. It's a good idea, but it probably won't make it.
  5. If the quality is already really bad in Sketchup, imagine it in GTA IV.
  6. Comic Sans and 72 pt font?
  7. Well I'm glad I'm not the only one with extreme 1.0 lag. In fact, I like .95 better because it's much easier to use and less complicated as well.
  8. The only thing I'm sort of not so enthusiastic about is this CnC you guys speak of. I'm guessing it stands for CopsnCrooks, meaning we'll have something like LCPDFR integrated into the game. And that's when my enthusiasm is lost. I love this mod and the community and I don't really want it to change or go under. If we are getting a PC version, unless this magically has only one file, being the .exe file, we will definitely be able to mod it, deeming the CnC mode useless. Unless! LCPDFR stops making the LCPDFR script which also works with various other mods. I'm sorry if I'm speaking nonsense, it is 1:05 AM, but does anyone see where I'm going here?
  9. How do their cars handle better than any normal CVPI?
  10. LOL, I don't think you have! We should play some time! I've stealthed a bank on Overkill Pro Job before. It was fun. Picking all the deposit boxes, just how Original Light likes it.
  11. You're one of the first. Almost nobody likes Michigan SP's cars...
  12. Like Payday with me and OL :P
  13. Pretty good, man! I have an offer. Since your screenshots don't look to tasty, would you like me to take screenshots with my private ENB and send them to you?

  15. Good job at making it, unfortunately, the car isn't less ugly than its usual self. Come on Michigan, get with it now...
  16. This does seem pretty legitimate, except for one thing. Why would you use Google Drive? Rockstar should be capable to set up their own server to store files on, which would prevent this exactly. I'm sure they don't want their plans getting leaked out to the public, because that would probably interrupt everything in the development process some way or another if the public know. Then again, this could be deliberate of them, because they may want to put the rumors to a stop and give the public hints that it is in fact coming. That's very interesting, Sam! Thanks for posting! EDIT: So I'm going through them right now, but where is the evidence this is actually for PC? All I see is chatter about x64 and I'm guessing that's it.

  19. I'm trying to make an Irvine PD car, however, they have spotlights on both the left and right sides of the car, but I have no idea how to make a spotlight compatible for the left. I've seen many people do it before. The spotlight I'm using is Irvine's PAR46 spotlight available here on LCPDFR, and I believe EVI was the creator. Thanks for the help, guys.
