  1. It was a good attempt. I'd give this a 2.5/5 since I'm not feeling too generous right now. The badge on the car has to be a bit taller and less wide. Also, the font is very off. Speaking of text, I'd make 'POLICE' smaller so it doesn't overlap onto the bumpy outy thingy (that's what I call it), but I understand how hard it is to put skins on a CVPI since the Crown Vic's body shape is so weird. Otherwise, it's pretty good.
  2. Looks decent. Nothing out of this world, but nothing terrible.
  3. I think I may have found something pretty interesting (that could even be a scenario). Does anyone know what that junkyard is on Valley Forge with all those hubcaps? I would attach screenshots, but I'm on my phone and I don't have the pictures on my phone. So does anyone know what this is? Chop shop? Stolen car dealership? Warehouse? What do you guys think it is? And is there some sort of mission involving this?
  4. Hope you guys found this informative and (kind of) entertaining. I decided to make this video since there wasn't a video on LCPDFR 1.0 and a custom ELS config or a video on how to install the hotfix, which not many people know how to install. "Eat up, young ones" -hlsavior:
  5. Okay, the title is fair. Basically this makes your cars and objects look a bit sharper? I guess you did an okay job. Nothing outstanding. 2.5/5
  6. Has he tried turning it off and on again?

  8. Pretty good! Although, like Mr. Quiggles said, get 2 sticks of 4, that's what I did. Unfortunately, one of the sticks (on my PC) broke, and I'm glad I got two sticks of 4. You may want to ditch the water cooler, because a heatsink is enough. I've got two Corsair fans both running at 1350RPM and my PC is running smooth. It seems like a good build though! Good luck! Oh, and, as for your OS, it's personal choice. I hate Windows 8, and I won't be upgrading any time soon, so I'm sticking with Windows 7 right now. Otherwise, again, totally up to you. I don't think there'll be any bottle-necking with Windows 7, because all my parts are pretty new.
  9. Well, for a first texture, it's pretty good!
  10. I've been in many clans/groups before, one successful, the others er... Not so much. The successful one had lots of staff that were always on their toes looking for something to improve and are always looking for bugs within the clan to fix. A level of seriousness within the administration is also usually required, however, don't go to the point where it's insane. We're here to have fun, it's not a job, we're not getting paid to play games and act as though we're the cops, because we're not. Overall, find a way to give them a good experience, come up with some cool ideas and it should kick off from there. If it doesn't, you're doing something wrong. If you put effort in anything you do, it should turn out great.
  11. Not necessarily. They could, but won't, create the game and would be compatible with the existing script.
  12. LOL, same traffic! *whispers* don't tell anyone, but I like to pull people over for driving fast cars to meet my quota. Also, just a little hint, use your trainer to open his door :)
  13. To be perfectly honest with you, I had no idea what the officer was saying. Partly because it sounded French, but mostly because of the wind on that cold day.
  14. It's not too long, is it? You should see some other YouTubers' intros.
  15. Good job, buddy! I like how you trample all over the homeless people :P
  16. This is just my input, and I'm not speaking on the behalf of the Development Team. No, no they wouldn't. Why would they make a game, instead of keeping it as an add-on to a reliable, stable (kind of), and complex game already running independently with it's own engine and it's own graphical rendering? Also, LCPDFR isn't fit to be a game. It's just a mod. Let's keep it that way.
  17. Nope. What noises does it start making? Perhaps a recording? When was the last time you cleaned out your computer? Also, make sure your GPU is snug in it's PCI bus, because it can make a difference. You may need to replace it and/or its heatsink. We need some more info. What GPU do you have? How long have you had it?
  18. There have been WAY too many topics about this, most of which go ignored and are ridiculed (kind of). LCPDFR was always made to be a mod. Although the development team are excellent at coding and really know what they're doing, it would be way too much to be a game, and I'm surprised I'm actually able to comment on this post since posts like this usually get locked at least 5 hours after their creation. Will this thread kick off like the countdown one? Possibly. But back on topic, like cp702 said, GTA gives us stability, customization and reliability that we may not be able to receive if LCPDFR was converted into an independent game. Proposing something like you said (nothing on you bro) is usually said without thought or consideration. They have to think about the game engine, the graphic rendering, the vehicle modeling (Hilth0, where art thou Hilth0?), the scripting, the compatibility with hard coding the modification, the protagonist, the thought of even planning it! It's simply a HUGE task force. I believe that when a GTA is rolled out to the public, maybe even before, Rockstar North start planning for the next GTA and assembling their coders and preparing all the staff that go towards the development. Since technology moves so fast, we may (as the GTA police modding community) be here when "LCPDFR the Game" would be rolled out, which would be a waste of time. Although the police community is nowhere near fading away, we could just hit a point of collapsing. And as XBR410 mentioned, as great as 1.0 may be, there are LOTS of bugs, and it performs differently on every computer. Personally, I'm down to .95 RC2 since I drop from 70 FPS to 43 FPS with 1.0 installed, but I'm not going to complain about LCPDFR 1.0's instability over here. LCPDFR was really designed to tie in with the game, and it really couldn't make it toward a game. I could sit here all day explaining, but half of this generation's population is too lazy to read a lot, so my point is, it's not going to happen. Too much work, too expensive and totally in to the future. I have a saying: "The past is in the past. The future is the future. The present is the present. So why live in the future when it's so unpredictable? Why live in the past when the conditions are so much better now? The present is home. The present will always be home."
  19. Ha, why did I know only you would post this?
  20. I decided to make a topic to show off my YouTube channel (primarily doing LCPDFR)! Enjoy! My new intro! The first ever GSP patrol I've recorded! Shape shifting madness! Devin's Oath First IPD Patrol!
  21. Ooh, cool! Actually I just made one myself. It's uploading to YouTube now, and I'll make a new topic showing it off!
  22. Just wait for the views and stuff to start rolling in. It's not bad or anything.....
