  1. Thanks for releasing. Would still love to see some screens as I'm not able to play GTA until tomorrow!
  2. Rushlink started on one and it looked real good, but abandoned the project. Would love to see some screens of it in game if you have any.
  3. Thanks buddy, can't wait to get this in game and start setting it up!
  4. Okay, thank you for the information and for the heads up. I'm gonna try to hunt down a CVPI, Interceptor, Interceptor Utility, Charger and a Tahoe. Only reason I'm interested in this is to give back to the community.
  5. Haha, okay thanks. I'll look into it some more. If anyone has any helpful links or tips feel free to share them here or send me a PM!
  6. Is this still scheduled for release tomorrow? I'm anxiously waiting to get port police, airport police, military police and whatever else I can think of in game!
  7. Hi all, Just a quick question here: What's modeling like in V? Can you still upload models and pieces parts like you could with IV? Which light bars do you use from the development resource section of the downloads since ELS isn't out yet? And why is it with most models released they typically only have a light bar and very few, if any, additional lighting on the vehicle (grill lights, rear deck lights, etc) Is it difficult to add additional lighting? I've never been a great vehicle modder but I did explore it in IV and the whole ELS part always confused me so I gave up. I'd like to give it a try here in V and try to release some vehicles for the community. Any help is appreciated guys.
  8. For 1080p a 390x is overkill. I have a regular R9 390 from Gigabyte and it's pretty much over kill for 1080p as well, however I would recommend it especially over a 970.
  9. Does 7.0 still require the Skin Control mod?
  10. I'll be honest, Nutt. I wasn't going to even consider using this before (not that it wasn't nice) because I dreaded the thought of trying to figure out the coordinates and trying to manipulate an INI file and things like that. However with this new update you've posted there's no doubt that I will be taking advantage of this script and all it has to offer! You and Albo keep up the good work!
  11. Welcome to the City of Crackron!
  12. I've personally met Jethro and Officer Davis. Both were absolutely great officers and Jethro was such a nice, well-behaved pup. Truly a hero and he will surely be missed. :(
  13. Yeah I'm sorry I'm trying to replace the Highway Patrol I think stainer. I know it's an option when selecting a vehicle when you first go on duty.
  14. Hi guys, Where is the Highway Patrol vehicle located for OpenIV? Thanks, Jeff
  15. My $0.02 since I'm from the east coast - add spotlight, two grille lights and two near the third brake light. Looks great so far. Also if you could make the hubcaps optional that would be preferred.
  16. Wow that actually sounds really good! Look forward to using it in game!
  17. If you pull the trigger now, you can get this 500w Thermaltake PSU for $16 with a mail in rebate. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153165 As far as a GTX 960 is concerned, I had planned on purchasing ones. Theres one on newegg right now for ~$200 - 4GB EVGA (EVGA seems to have the highest factory clock speeds) After doing some reading people are saying the AMD Radeon R9 380 4gb outperforms the 960. I'm not sure of that. But I am sure that the 380's are around $180 for what seems to be similar performance via specs. EDIT: I found a video comparing the GTX960 and R9 380 - you should take a loot I think I may be getting a R9 380.. and actually the R9 380x was just released yesterday and it's not much more so that may be the way to go.
  18. You would be incorrect. I am an a dispatcher for Police, Fire and EMS. I take both non-emergency and 911 calls as well as communicate over the radio, many times doing both at the same time. As well as take care of public records, people that walk into my lobby and often times do the officer's jobs for them when it comes to simple things (such as looking up phone numbers, calling people for them, looking up information in the CAD, everything an officer is more than capable of doing on their own) And to further on that, people are not educated on how to properly use 911. Your dog running away is not a life, limb or property threatening emergency. That's just one example of the many things people call 911 for. Fire departments are a giant pain in the ass. They always want everything perfect and many policies are ridiculous, so I can see that. I'm saying you do not want to be a dispatcher because you are under appreciated, make shit money for all the work you do and get treated like shit by both the public and those that you work with. On top of all that, going along with the under appreciated aspect of the work, we hardly receive any additional, usually important training because command staff and administration doesn't think we "need" to have it. I just today went and got certified in Crisis Negotiation today. I was fortunate in that I work for a smaller department and I had the chance to go. I mean how do dispatchers not "need" training on crisis negotiation or active shooters when we are often the very first person that the suspect will talk to in an incident. This may not be everywhere but every dispatcher from other agencies I've talked to feels the same way. Many agencies no longer have in-house dispatch services, and are in centralized dispatch centers and are responsible for many departments (Two near me are both responsible for over 20 Fire and Police agencies). I'm fortunate that I work in an agency that only dispatches for one department. My point is, it's not what you see on TV. Many times with 911 Calls they are cellular and we truly have no idea where the caller is at. There has been many times I've been pranked and there was nothing I could do because it was a deactivated phone with no good call back number and no location. I could go on and on about the cons of dispatching. Not to say there isn't some good in it, because there is, but generally most days are not *good* days. I'm fortunate I have a job however I can't wait until I finish my academy and get out on the road and out of the radio room. The job wouldn't be as bad if the general public knew how to correctly use the 911 system, learn real emergencies from things that aren't, if officers had to spend a week dispatching so they would cut their attitudes on the radio and not ask stupid questions (that happens a lot), if the fire department could get a grip on things and not have to have EVERYTHING REPEATED BACK TO THEM because they can never hear it the first time... I mean I could go on and on for real. I love helping people that need help, don't get me wrong. It's just the shear stupidity from those that don't truly need help, or an officer's attitude or the Fire Chief's nasty-gram because I made one SIMPLE mistake that make it miserable to come to work every day. I WISH I didn't feel like this and I WISH that I could help make necessary changes to make life better for everyone that works in public safety.
  19. In the USA most academies are 16-24 weeks long.
  20. I'm a dispatcher in real life... and trust me you don't want to be a dispatcher, lol.
  21. It just depends on the model of Stalker Radar. They do have a basic one which just displays target, locked and patrol speeds. However it seems like their newer models will display a target speed and the fastest speed that was recorded, as shown below. Personally I like the MPH Bee III radar unit. Small and effective... maybe i'm a little biased because it's what my department uses, lol. Either way, looks great. Might I suggest some sort of API or something so other developers can create skins for the GUI?
