  1. What countdown? I don't see any countdown... like the staff have said, I think some of us have gone a little crazy from the wait. You sure you didn't edit that in with a trainer?
  2. No, LSPDFR has not yet been released. The RageHook has, but there's not really much point downloading it right now because there aren't any mods that use it yet.
  3. That's excellent news! Great job!
  4. That's great, hopefully people are overreacting about this after all and all our wonderful mods cough LSPDFR cough will be back up and working fine soon :D
  5. So, the DRM stuff mentioned isn't actually as bad as people assume, right? Will scripthooks and the Ragehook be back up and running with this update within a day or two?
  6. I watched the videos people posted in the thread, it looks pretty interesting but it's certainly not on the level of detail that I'd like to have from an ELS mod. That said, if nothing more in-depth is released, that mod would certainly do as a replacement. Maybe the person who made it will be able to figure out how to make it better, anyway?
  7. Can we also have a countdown to the countdown for the countdown? :D
  8. Don't think so. I haven't played the game yet, (PC broken since the 11th of April :c) but I think you have to switch on the regular siren first then hold down the horn button to switch siren modes, which could be yelp or another siren sound.
  9. Yeah, that's basically what I think an ELS-like mod for GTA V should be, but of course the ability to yelp the siren manually, and improvements to the way the lights look/how they reflect or shine onto terrain, buildings, people, etcetera.
  10. But also the switching between different siren tones. I.E yelp, high-low, etcetera.
  11. Hah, "the Wees and the Woos" is a pretty good description of the default stuff.
  12. To start this off, I'm going to say that I understand a few people, albeit a while back, were discussing whether or not we needed ELS in GTA V. If I remember correctly, a few said they thought we did need it, and a few others said it wasn't necessary at all. Well, I'd like to talk about why I think ELS (or something similar) in GTA V would be useful, and what it would actually do. To start off, light patterns. There are already multiple light patterns built into the police lightbars, but they seem to be cycled through at random. They can't be switched between. That's the first use an ELS type mod for GTA V would have, light pattern control. You'd be able to switch between each pattern independently, keep it on random, or even set up a custom light pattern. That would probably be achievable by using a .txt file added with the mod. You could set up which patterns go where, for how long, and possibly even the speed of the pattern. The second thing an ELS system for GTA V would do is, as with the GTA IV mod, independent control of siren modes. Instead of having to switch the siren on to the default, then to yelp or what-have-you, you can just press one button to yelp the siren, release it, and it switches off. Same for any other siren mode. The third and final thing an ELS type mod could do for GTA V is similar, if not completely the same, to another mod we already have on this very site. It's called "New LED Corona" http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/7715-new-led-corona-for-gta-v-updated-new-content/ , and basically it changes the brightness of emergency lights so that they're more visible, especially in the daytime. It also adds better reflections off of things like walls, making the lights look more realistic in general. That's pretty much the end of what I had to say. What does everyone else think? Do those of you who think we don't need an ELS system for GTA V still maintain that, or do you think that the points I've raised here are valid? Anyway, if you read this far, thanks for paying some attention to this. Hopefully I'm not repeating what anyone else has said.
  13. I must apologise profusely ineseri, for I use Adblock :c It's not that I use it because I don't want to support G17 - you guys are great. But my browser is slow, slower with adverts, and I've had bad experiences with them in the past. And when I say "bad" I mean "viruses". I hope you can forgive me for this terrible transgression...
  14. While it may not be a good indicator, considering that the information bar at the top of every page says "The final countdown", might it be fair to say we're at the very least relatively close to release?
  15. Not to be rude, but how exactly are they supposed to give us a release date if they themselves don't know when it'll be ready for a first release? It's all well and good to throw around dates, but when it turns out that date was being overly optimistic and it's going to take much longer, people get pissed. Hm. Reminds me of GTA V PC's launch! :P
  16. Oh shit. sweats profusely I thought it was just coincidence! While I cannot offer you any monetarily bought items, I will give you my most sincere thanks! Like that means anything to you... :c
  17. YES! YEEEEEEES! Edit: That Hydra... you guys weren't kidding when you called it "The Ultimate in Speed Enforcement" :D
  18. For hours now, I have been trudging slowly along in the desert known oddly as "Sam". Ahead of me for this entire journey has been a giant, taunting blue box that reads something along the lines of a second trailer. I do not know what it means, but I want it. I want it badly. I do not know how much longer I can survive. Food and water is running low, but there is certainly plenty of hype to spare. If this is a test of sorts, I hope I pass it, considering the hardships I have endured. Well, I say "I". That isn't strictly true. There are hundreds of voices around me, all talking about how excited they are. Maybe they are making this journey too, and my eyes are just too tired to see them. I am sure the walk is not much further. I just have to... hold out... a little longer. - The first and last entry on a scrap of paper, lying next to a skeleton with ragged clothing still clinging to it, slumped over on their computer desk.
  19. Gah, we should have known! :P
  20. But will it be before 11:30 BST?! D: Stupid internet provider grumble grumble
  21. I am going to be so pissed if "in the coming hours" means after my internet goes off. Yes, I have time-capped internet. Yes, it's annoying.
  22. It's a shame you're not able to do pursuits and pullovers, I personally enjoy them a lot. Anyway, thank you, it's very interesting to see how people with no sight (or other such things) play games. Really glad that even though you can't see you can still enjoy yourself.
  23. How does playing a game audio-only work exactly? I mean, how do you know where you are, what's happening, etcetera? I hope it isn't offensive to ask this, I'm just curious.
  24. I'm contemplating going to sleep soon so that tomorrow gets here quicker. Yup, I'm that desperate.
  25. Unfortunately I can't find a gif of the "shooting yourself" action in GTA Online, otherwise I would be able to react properly to that.
