I play ELSv6 with all ELS police cars + AI enabled and it never crashes. It is 100% stable at my current moment. Helicopters, SWAT, backup, all works. IDK what I did right this time but hey I'm happy.

You also need to modify a certain file if you are using SUVs in car slots or CARs in SUV slots. Look @ my recent thread

This is the fatest available speed living in a dead zone. 10 minutes in either direction and I can get high speed internet...however where I am at...1M only..stupid. My ISP is country wireless and I'm futher south than what it says on the picture. Its pretty pathetic.

I run two copies of traffic flow which allows 40 cars insteand of 20. All you do is copy files and name them trafficflow2. Got that info from someone else on this forum. Might be able to run more but I stick with the 40. This has been beat to death. Search functions are your friend...

I've never changed a cargroups.dat file before. Could that be a possibility why a truck in an fbi slot is causing crashing?

So below is an example of a vehicle I currently use in my polpatriot slot. On gtapolicemods the text reads optimized for polpatriot but on his readme it says fbi buffalo which I'm expecting to be a mistake. Anyway I made this thread for the question of what does it mean for a vehicle to be optimized for a certain type. Does that mean it won't work if you rename it? What do you have to do to make it work if you rename it? I've noticed that using polpatriot optimized vehicles don't work well in other slots. More crashes. I have two optimized for polpatriot cars that I wish to use but obviously don't have two polpatriot slots and when I rename one to fbi and keep one polpatriot it crashes. however if i only have one on at a time in the polpatriot slot no crashing. Why? This isn't intended as support more or less to understand what people mean by optimized for a certain vehicle type. I've seen some cvpi that have multiple (police 1, 2, noose, fbi) just rename and go. A little research is your friend. From you statement that you tried to use an acer apsire laptop for gaming shows you didn't try to look up stuff. Take a look at this helpful guide. You can either build a gaming desktop like they explain in the guide or you can buy an extremely expensive laptop that will last a few years. Laptops aren't upgrade friendly.

There are many people who are able to get MP to work with and without mods. Key thing is to make sure both or all parties involved have the same exact mods to the detail.

Mods are mysterious aren't they. Some people have issues, others do not. I guess you roll the dice and see how it works. I play with all ELS cars, elsv6, AI using ELS, modded uniforms, weapons, everything...lol Works.

I beat GTA 4 on the xbox 360. Only bought it for PC for LCPDFR. So I just played enough to get the cell phone and that was it. You are not suppose to get to the other islands early and that is why you are suppose to complete the missions. SNT unlocks all islands but so does activating LCPDFR.

You have to hold it AFAIK. Otherwise people who use ELS can just tap a button to switch each tone of the siren but it won't make cars pull over.

GTA can run great on poor computers and poor on great computers. Just the nature of being a crappy port as stated above.

First one is a somewhat of a glitch because in GTA 4 that building door is locked. In EFLC it is open. They are aware of that. The second one you just have to mess around with. Guess I've never had issues and if I did went "oh well" and moved on with my day.

From what I gather is he wants multiple skins on the same car? If that is the case you fine the skins you want and import them to the texture file. Most cars have 4 texture slots. Then you can use area livery mod to make them appear randomly as they patrol.

This game doesn't have a free roam ability after you beat the game. I played it on xbox 360 but maybe there is a mod out there for PC that will allow free roam after you beat the game. Anyway, I just beat the game and reloaded a specific mission where I had all weapons, a cool car, ect. Then went on and played for fun anytime I wanted. The game has cool features that GTA should include. When you stop at a stop light your vehicle automatically hits the brakes and makes vehicles behind you stop. Vehicles also burn really cool and don't explode like they are made of C4. The police act like police and if you are caught speeding they will pull you over, issue you a citation and let you go. You can bribe cops too if you are about to be arrested. All in all its a fun game and I hope the next GTA includes some of the small features this game has to offer.

Basically you are trying to fill a glass that is already full... You are basically asking way to much of your system and even a high end gaming computer may have issues because of how GTA is built and designed.

I am not incorrect. You can use whichever you want to play the game. You may lose certain features....I use Dsound..works.
