Does anyone have a custom written backup script that will call in those other units? I know of the mod. Only thing stopping me from making my own was not knowing the unit names that RDE uses. In the 3.0 thread they are talking about releasing one with it.

The only thing I did from that text is to change permissions of the GTA V folder. I went to my steam directory, right clicked the GTA V folder, unchecked 'read only'. I also ran Rage as administrator. Before if would crash even in admin mode. Maybe the folder being read only was an issue. Either way it is working. Stupid windows 'security'. And disabled AVG free. AVG free will F up a lot of games. So if a game crashes. Disable that first. Even with exceptions I've still seen it crash games :P

You're having a hard time making sure stuff isn't already discussed. People are trying to figure it out there including myself.

Recap: Fresh clean install of Windows 10. Fresh clean install of GTA V Latest version of RPH. Trying to get RPH to run without additional addons without crashing GTA V Using RPH to launch GTA V crashes GTA V before any loading screens. Launching GTA V then launching RPH once I'm standing in Michael's house crashes GTA V instantly. Can't make RPH run without crashing GTA V.

Further testing proves it is the latest rage plugin hook. I was able to use open iv asi to run realism dispatch enhanced. The only time GTA V would crash was if launched via RAGE. If launched through open IV it would work fine.

He is not the only one having issues. I'm experienced with adding mods to GTA V and GTA IV. The latest download of RAGE as of September 9 is causing issues for me. Have not tested older versions. 1) I have a brand new clean install of windows 10 2) I have a brand new clean install of GTA V. I have it with a 100% game save and can play with no issues. 3) I have just downloaded RAGE and it tries to launch GTA. It says error and crashes GTA V. No mods, no additional items. Just RAGE. So I am not sure the solution unless its just a buggy version of rage that slipped out. Of course no mods folder as its clean install on clean version of windows. Also RAGE shows green on the list of requirements.

Search for Custom Backup in the mods section. It gives you that kind of control. I think. The only thing you can do in the default backup.xml is make is so when you're in LS county you call in a certain unit and when you're in Blaine county you call another unit. For example I have blaine county vehicles and LS county vehicles. So when I call for local backup only the right vehicle comes to me because of my backup.xml

Working in a small area and in the jail lets you learn how to deal with people. The same people you're going to deal with on the street. You'll learn who is in and out of that place all the time. Good place to start. Many do.

Here are your options: 1) Get hired by a big department that pays you to go to a police academy. 2) Put yourself through a police academy and get hired on somewhere smaller that can't afford to put you through an academy. Just make sure you don't want to go to a big place. Some big agencies require you to go through their academy regardless if you went through one already. 3) Start with a sheriff's office in the jail where they are known to transfer over to patrol after you get a few years experience. In the meantime you can't hurt yourself by going to college and getting at minimum an associates degree. Work on physical fitness as well. There is no easy way to get there. I graduate May 19th. I've been chasing my dream for years.

Thank you. That all makes sense now. I suppose I've been very lucky so far. Though I try to match modded cars to vanilla car slots. So they drive normal.

I have been modding GTA IV and GTA V for some time now. Lately I've got back into modding V since the content has improved drastically. What I do not understand is what is the purpose of the Vehicles.meta, Flags, and Carvariations files. So far I have modded just about every police vehicle in the game and that includes renaming the car files to suit my needs. I have had zero ill effects on my game by ignoring the files mentioned previously. What is the big deal if it doesn't harm anything that I can see? I remember from IV if you didn't mod the lines correctly the handling and other issues would show. I use notepad ++ for editing needs but is there an easier way to update the vehicles.meta, flags, ect as you download and swap cars? Maybe I missed in while searching for an answer.

Learn to use Open IV it is a much better program. Works on GTA IV and V. Spark IV is trash and always has been. You could have a bad version floating around. Open IV won't give you problems. http://openiv.com/

Simple install something else that doesn't shoot. NOOSE support will kick everyone's ass. My NOOSE is a regular air unit with a sheriff texture and sheriff SWAT guys.

I've been searching for quite sometime now. Even tried looking in Open IV. I want the list of uniform names so I can edit my backup.xml file so the AI officers show up with those uniforms on.

Pay attention to readme files for the vehicles. They will tell you where to put the vehicle files. Unfortunately they all can't be put into one file. GTA V has vehicle files spread all over the place in similar spots. patchday3 is the most popular for police cars but police 3 is a different location. So just watch the readme. Google file locations if no readme included.

This mod team will most likely only focus on their efforts for GTA V. I guess there isn't any harm in discussing the most unlikely option ever. Mafia 3 could be close to impossible to mod for all anyone knows. LCPDFR started as a few scripts for someone's personal use and then evolved into a full on mod and team to go with it.

Building a computer is easy. The hands on putting it together is easy. It is the knowledge about parts and best bang for your buck stuff that is the most difficult. Research is your friend. Read up on stuff. You can buy kits off new egg as well. You put it together yourself. Save some money that way too. Maybe some nice fellow will post here with all the recommendations. I had people help me get the parts for my machine. Its a beast now.

I just recently installed it and it works perfectly. In ragehook options i had it load automatically along side LSPDFR. This is a must have. You can STOP ALL TRAFFIC. Remember crazy AI? Ha...now you can stop all cars dead in its tracks within a certain radius. Only thing I can suggest is check and recheck. Then try to let ragehook launch it at startup.

I use voice attack in flight simulators. It is the best voice to action software for gaming. You program a word you say to activate a button. The same as if you pressed it. It is less than $10.00 and completely worth it. I play DCS world and can start my helicopter, activate weapon systems. Oh and air to air combat is a breeze. No more forgetting controls. With voice attack make sure that it recognizes your voice command. If not showing green dot next to spoken word you'll need to do more voice training with your computer. As long as you have the buttons properly set up in the controls you should have no issue. You'll have to go step by step and see why it doesn't work.
