What kind of vehicle do you drive?
I haven't passed my test yet, I'm 20 in 2 days but was too lazy to care about driving lol. I kind of need to, I have 2 cars though! :D One is a classic car, a Yugo 45 in red (pictured at the front) My main car which will be my daily driver is a Skoda Fabia 1.4mpi This is the only picture I have of it which shows it before we stripped the front end and rebuilt it. We towed it home on an A-Frame. It was originally a category C write-off. Me and my dad pulled all the broken parts off it and rebuilt it so it's road legal now :) Cars I would love to own, a MK1 VW Golf GTI, Audi A7, Audi R8 V10+ (any audi really I love audi's, and german cars in general.)

Weazel News - Poor Quality of Service by EMS
Haha thanks :) Just in case you don't know about the police car launching glitch, spawn a police car with the lcpdfr console, then move forward slightly and spawn another. Exit the console and say goodbye to the 2nd cop car :D

Weazel News - Poor Quality of Service by EMS
Hey guys, here is the second video I got for the weazel news short clips I'm doing. As always, text description is provided below the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hySamzv0tr0&feature=youtu.be Todays news, citizens are in uproar about the poor quality of service being provided by the emergency services of Liberty City after two people caught video footage on their phones of an elderly lady being struck down by not 1 but 2 emergency vehicles! Citizens have sent in many complaints about the situation. Liberty City Commissioner for government emergency services has responded to complaints made by the citizens stating that "The overall quality of our emergency services is above that of the services seen being provided in the footage. The ability of the paramedics is also out of our hand, and will be left to our first responder team." He also stated that the officer responsible for the initial injury was "not at fault" and that the car manufacturer of that model of cruiser, "ekalb", would be contacted immediately. Weazel News Short Clip Series >Routine Traffic Stop goes Wrong Poor Quality of Service by EMS (currently viewing) More to come Notes: 1, yes I know I spelt immediately wrong in the video. 2, this one wasn't great but I giggled a lot at the glitch that caused the police car to go flying off at mach 5. 3, I bought a new graphics card, it arrives tomorrow, content will be better after that because I wont get texture glitches with the enb as much :) 4, to moderators. I'm going to be creating a "Hub thread" which will contain a link to each of the videos, that way I don't end up making 10000000000 threads.

LCPD FR and problems with Ambulance and Fire Dep.
Other people have brought this to attention as well about how bad the AI is for them, so you're not alone. As you have mentioned your best option is to use the police helper mod to request an ambulance, it does have bugs but then it is a beta mod not a full release so you have to make do with that. None of the errors that the helper mod has done cause it to entirely crash however (at least not that I have noticed) and if it does you can use the start scripts command to get them going again. I do agree with you though, that the LCPDFR EMS teams have been downgraded quite a lot since 0.95, but I guess that was to make room for improvements to the other features. Hopefully we'll see a fix for it.

Perfomance
At the moment I think the best thing to do would be to completely wipe GTA from your system and start again from scratch, but don't install any car and ped models straight away. Run LCPDFR on the new install of GTA IV on it's own and increase your game's default settings and see how it handles it FPS wise. If it's stable then chances are you've got a really dodgy model somewhere causing issues.

Perfomance
I don't think this is a problem caused by his graphics card. A quick google of the card he has reveals the following specs: 800MHz Clock Speed 2GB GDDR5 Memory 1200MHz Memory Clock Speed 153.6GB/s Memory Bandwidth 256-bit Memory Interface Direct-X 11 I think there is a more internal error somewhere. But can't put my finger on it right now.

GTA V map being made for IV.
I hate big map mods like this purely because unless the person making it is willing to invest his life into making it right, there will be bugs that are so big they decrease the quality of it. And a lot of them don't work on the traffic ai aspect enough they just plonk down waypoints for the traffic to go along. The problem you get then is sitting in one place watching AI traffic mount the pavement, run over a pedestrian, crash into a street light and then continue to drive down the path rather than the road over and over and over again because they didn't map it properly. I'll be honest it is impressive, I know I couldn't do it any better than they have because quite frankly I don't have the energy or will power to work on something that big, so credit to the person making it, but no thanks. I'll wait until the people at Rockstar release GTA V on PC, they get paid to do it. "But how do you know it's coming out on pc? What if they never do blah blah blah" I doubt a multi-international games production company would say no to making millions of dollars off a pc copy after what they spent on making it, do you?

Which Graphics Card?
I'm the same as quiggles, always been Intel and Nvidia over AMD. The GTX 660 is a good card and I was also considering getting of those soon (I'm currently on a GTX 550 TI 1GB). Fortunately however I saw a GTX 760 2GB which was only like £40 more expensive, a value I can happily cope with. So that's what I'm likely to buy :)

Too many cops
True but there is apparently a reason for this. The first is a ineseri said above, units in the local area will join the pursuit regardless of the setting. The second is a point made by Sam, the suspects within the vehicle themselves are the pursuits not the car, so there will be 2 cop cars spawned into the pursuit for one suspect, 4 for 2 suspects etc etc. It is a silly method when you think that a car with 4 suspects in it will have 8 cruisers giving chase plus random units, but the reason as Sam stated was that this allows each of the suspects in the car to be handled separately when they choose to flee from the car for whatever reason. That way you don't end up with a pursuit where only 1 suspect ever gets arrested and the others are ignored by the AI. they all get dealt with. I would recommend using similar settings as mine. maximum cars = 2 (this means 2 cars, plus you, plus random joiners) maximum cops = 6 (2 for each car, plus 2 extra on foot, then any that join randomly) I would also suggest using the less cops mod to reduce the number of police spawned in general (that way you get less random joiners to the pursuit)

Re-install issue
What I would recommend doing just to ensure it isn't a conflict of files anywhere is start a brand new install of the game. I know you said you did that once and I know it's a pain but you may have missed something. 1) Uninstall GTA IV. Or ELFC whichever you use. (On steam they come as 2 seperate games) 2) Go back to the GTA IV folder after uninstalling it and delete EVERYTHING in it. The files left behind will be modded files that the uninstaller doesn't recognise, this is why people have reinstall issues usually. 3) Once the GTA directory is empty, reinstall the game clean, with no mods. 4) COPY the GTA directory after it has successfully reinstalled, into a .zip archive. Name it GTA IV BACKUP.zip or similar (you'll love me for this later)* You are now ready to begin installing mods. 5) Download the LCPDFR 1.0 Automatic installer (or if you prefer the manual which already has the hotfix applied) I choose the automatic because it's easier and doesn't mean you have to go trawling through the website to get an API key for your officer name. 6) Once 1.0 has installed itself you will have all the dependencies needed, go ahead and download the hotfix files and copy them across as it explains to do so. (you can skip this if you used the manual download) 7) TEST the game to ensure lcpdfr works and is running fine. 8) If all is fine now you can go ahead and try other mods. * Here's why you'll love me, if you really badly mess up editing some files when installing mods, remember spending 30 minutes or so making a .zip copy of your GTA game? Good, that backup is of the original files working fine, just extract them from the .zip into the correct places. Why a .zip you say? it's a zipped archive, in other words it will slightly compress some of the files to save space. By doing this you can revert your game from modded back to riginal in less time than it takes to go through steps 1, 2 and 3 above over and over again. Hope this helps, if you have any other problems be sure to pop back and ask and one of us on the forum will likely know what to do. :)

Does anybody else also hate GTA V driving physics and car damage ?
bradyg I think he's complaining that the damage is not enough, not that it's too weak ;) I do agree with you, I didn't like the handling or damage physics at all, I hate even more how they make it possible to hold a directional key down to roll a car over. I'm sorry but who on this damn planet can do that while sitting in a car?!?!?! I too look forward to seeing how modders rip that mechanic apart. The hype for GTA V was so huge, they kept going on and on about how it would be the best gta they ever made and how much money was going into making things life like. And then they released every car in the game as if it was a go cart from the gran turismo games (no damage) I do like that your wheel can sheer off the axel and fly off and things but, that's not really funny when the car looks like it was doing 10mph instead of 90.

I've quoted your post and will edit it with purple text as my replies :) Hope my responses are helpful :)

ANPR question
That depends on if you like other mods for roleplay or not. If you don't want other mods, call it into dispatch and wait a few seconds, the red marker will go and all will be fine, or if you just drive away after calling it in the marker will disappear on its own. If you do like using other mods you could for example use a vehicle search script to search the car, or you could do what I do and use Abraxas' tow service script and have a pickup come and remove the car. hope this helps. :)

Naming your officer
You can get it to say [Officer LCPDFR.com Username] Responding. For example in game for me it appears: [CONTROL] Units respond to a mugging in some place? <--I made that up cause I don't know it word for word lol [Officer LukeD] Responding. or [Officer LukeD] Unable to assist. But other than that you can't change it to say "Roger that, LukeD" and in fairness I don't think a real dispatch would use names either, they use callsigns for absolute clarity over the radio (example: delta-4)

Routine Traffic Stop Goes Wrong
Hi guys, I made this video for fun after playing LCPDFR. For a full "news style" description of the events check below. The text is the same as that in the video description. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-1lJIJUBwE A simple routine traffic stop goes horribly wrong, twice! CCTV imagery from the Liberty City Highway Agency shows how a routine traffic stop ends in a bad driver being arrested, and the fatal ending of a police officer's life. A man during the traffic stop is seen at the beginning, colliding with the back of the officer's police car. He is promptly arrested and detained in the back of the car, while the officer moves on to deal with the original suspect who had been seen driving erratically. The suspect opens fire on the police officer as he approaches the suspect's car window, resulting in the officer falling down. to make matters worse though, the office is hit by a taxi which loses control in the wet weather. The officer was killed by a final few bullets, before being left for dead on the ground. Liberty City Police Department have not yet caught the suspect, and the detained driver has been taken in for questioning. If you liked the video let me know, and I will try and do more if you really want me to. It took a hell of a lot of editing because it kept going wrong, and yes I am aware of the small jumps between each of the video segments, this is because they were made in the rockstar video editor before being put together. Thanks :)

Project Christine - Razer's Concept Modular PC
Agreed, and yes they are. But they do call it the worlds "most modular" pc as opposed to "the only modular pc" :P
