  5. No your gaming quality will not be worse, if anything I would argue it would be better, again because you have the opportunity to run on more threads. More threads = more efficient processing. Efficient processing = better usage of the CPU which ultimately means better performance. You probably won't notice the difference between the two processors. But I would pick more threads than clock speed any day personally.
  6. Go for the 5820k out of the two. There's good reasons: Higher cache, higher memory support, higher base power output, higher memory bandwidth and then more importantly more cores and more threads. its also newer and therefore will be supported for longer. You sacrifice the processors clock speed for all of this, but to be perfectly honest there is only so far clock speed can go, hence why we started working on multithreading and concurrency. So yeah, to summarise I personally would get the 5820k
  7. It's still only speculation however. Rockstar have not out and out said "Yes we support modding" they've only mentioned about how airtight they plan to make GTA Online to prevent anyone having an unfair advantage (cheating/hacking etc) While we can take what the rockstar guys have said as an indication that they are open to see what we can do with the single player, it doesn't 100% mean they support it. If they did 100% support modding we would have steam workshop announced and a modding API, but we don't. And therefore until we actually have a crack at it, it's still just speculation as to how moddable the game is. That's what ineseri is saying.
  8. Less than 5ms ping, 105 down, 8 up normally. Steam downloaded GTA V at a peak of 12.7Mb/s. I started at 6.18pm (GMT) and it finished at around 8pm.
  9. The preload is 59GB, the whole game is probably closer to the 65GB required according to rockstar. It took me 2 hours to download it.
  10. That's a problem with my plugin that I already know about. I'm fixing it soon. The problem is the barrier recognises the player as a ped when in a vehicle and so sets the task to the same as the rest of the AI. All I need to do is block it from interacting with the player.
  11. God dammit I forgot to check for the player vehicle too rvfwnhjhndsfvhnjihsdcnjhkccxuhnidfgvnhiarscnbjicdfsjnjijjsdcvfhuncerfnbnjwrfc *rage* I'll fix it when I'm back home after the weekend. *feels incredibly stupid*
  12. Nothing to see here! This thread has been closed by LCPDFR.com staff, because it has been created in an incorrect forum section. We require that LCPDFR support requests are created in the LCPDFR Support Requests forum, so that users are presented with the troubleshooter. Please use that forum and follow the clearly presented instructions. If you feel that this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  13. Because sometimes it's fun to mess with people by forcing the LCPDFR callouts to crash instead of my own, just to see if anyone notices. Press "start" Because fat_cop be eating all the food. Now for the serious answers. I don't know why any of these issues are arising. As it says in the very important read me document along with the user documentation I created, perhaps you should post a log file or more details as to what is going wrong or what you did. Even if I 100% wanted to help you 3 I simply can't spew out an answer when all I get is "it no work plz why?"
  14. Yes, exactly what it says in the guide.
  15. I'm sorry sir but I'm afraid there is simply no such thing as 1 too many beers.
  16. Honestly guys, next you'll be telling us that Google is all backwards. Pfft. You all need your eyes testing.
  17. Ripped straight from the guide published with 1.0d when these two features were added: Here is a link to that guide in case you missed it http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/guide.html
  18. I don't feel like anyone has anything further to contribute given the past page of replies. Locking this as it's clearly run it's course and then some. Nothing to see here! 19. No, they're not arrestable usually. If you are caught driving without tax or caught driving a vehicle that is declared SORN the police have full power to seize your vehicle and send you walking (hence the new "seize car" interaction added in the questioning a detained suspect.) you'll also typically be given a fine (around £60 if I have my facts right) Obviously however it depends on the circumstance as to WHY the police have noticed you're driving with no tax as to what action they take. If you borrowed your mums car to joy ride you'll be arrested for TWOC (taken without owners consent) and the fact the vehicle isn't taxed only acts as an aggravating factor.
  20. In the UK it is a legal requirement to pay vehicle tax for each calendar year OR declare the vehicle as SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification). It is therefore an offence to: a) Drive an untaxed vehicle on the road. b) Drive a vehicle declared SORN on the road. c) Have ownership of a vehicle which has not been taxed or declared SORN.
  21. Not a massive amount I can do about some the spawn points, if the game says AI can drive there, then the possibility of the truck spawning there will always exist, even when using the place on roads method. This is why all of the dispatch-able vehicles use the native "is vehicle stuck" checks so that if after 12 seconds or so the vehicle hasn't made any progress on the road it resets it's location to somewhere else within a few meters. As for medics, it could be the case. I'll be looking at it to try and find out the problem though. And the removal team seems to just hate everyone except me. the amount of testing we've done with them alone is ridiculous and yet they still insist on being stupid. Lastly, the plate checker identifying taxi's was always a thing, but it's rare that a taxi driver has no valid taxi license. At current there is no plans to expand and create new callouts. I simply don't have enough time available to me right now, I have coursework deadlines looming, then exams and I've got to get the proposal forms finished for my third year project. by the time I'm finished with all this we'll hopefully be well on our way to modding GTA V. Obviously only time will tell. But assuming we do, I'll be moving onto V too, this plugin will eventually not have anywhere near the demand it has now. I've hit 24,000 downloads since I initially released the plugin last year. No doubt that will stop increasing over time as more people move to V. If I find time, I'll keep working with this plugin in between V modding. but for now I have no plans to expand further.
  22. Not sure what has broken the ambulances, but I'll take a look at it. Can you both please test the ambulance again, after you change the keybind to something else. That way it will force the game to spawn an ambulance (as you are no longer relying on LCPDFR to spawn one using the same keybind)
  23. I think it's fine the way it is. The ctOS vehicles within Watch_Dogs don't have any form of slogan on them, just "ctOS".
  24. Update Released! Version 0.7.3 for LCPDFR 1.1 has now been released. You can get it here: Changelog: • Completely rewritten barriers, they're now more efficient and less laggy • Bug fixes made to removal team to reduce crashes, also the illusive "called once, can't call again" bug has been fixed • Increased a delay with the tow truck so the driver now has more time to exit the truck and shut the bloody door! • Recompiled on version 1.1 of LCPDFR. • Tracker theft callout now informs you of the vehicle make to make it easier. NOTE: At this current time the Officer Down callout is still problematic, if it crashes for you please don't report it I am already aware. simply don't accept that callout. the callout will be getting a major rewrite at some point in the hopes I can fix it.
