Graphics Cards
I haven't updated the drivers, because I'm unsure where to do this. I've never had to update drivers for a video/graphics card before, so I'm not sure where. :P So, if I'm looking for a new Graphics Card, I wanna look for high numbers on the following: - Core Clock - Memory Clock - Memory Bandwidth - Pixel Fill Rate - and Texture Fill Rate? Graphics Cards
Yes. I got the new PC, GTA IV is fine except for the lag. It seems the problem is the graphics card, except I don't know where to find the core clock and memory clock on my current one. All I know about my current card, is what is listed in my signature. Best, KRI

Announcing ELS V7 (UPDATE 02/05)
That would be something interesting to see. But let's think about this. Primary lights on behind a vehicle, and they pull over. What if a vehicle in front of the one you're trying to pull over "sees" the lights? Wouldn't they end up pulling over then too? (Per your desc. of this in your post) I prefer having to press Shift to initiate a traffic stop, because as long as you're behind the vehicle you want to pull over, they pull over, or run, and you can cancel it too. But, having a chance that the driver will brake check you and then flee, when you initiate the traffic stop isn't a bad idea. It would add some realism to it. I have heard of people pulling over for a cop, brake checking them, so the cop hits his brakes, and then slamming on the gas and running from the cop. (Normally doesn't succeed anyways. But people try. :P) Best, KRI

Okay, but for normal gameplay no recording, I'd like to get above 18-23 FPS As that's what it's running at majority of the time, and it's still slow. As for all the replies. I have gotten great info for research to do some more research on graphics cards. I researched at least 1-2 weeks before I got my new PC. Best, KRI

Suggestions for LCPDFR Scenes
Lol I didn't have any way to buy FRAPS online, therefore I can't change the format. For now, I have an image format converter which converts them to .JPG Best, KRI

Yes I'm planning on changing the video card/graphics card on the PC, which specs are listed in my signature I just need the lag to be eliminated so I can start some LCPDFR videos I tried recording with FRAPS, as a test, and the FPS went way down, below 15 and sometimes below 10. (Only GTA IV Running and FRAPS) Bounced around between 9-15 FPS, when FRAPS' recording was active. Simply put, the FPS "meter" was red. PM me if you need any more info Best, KRI ~ Posted using iPhone

I'm averaging 18-23 FPS, and that's the slowness for me. Even at 23 FPS, it's still running slowly Best, KRI ~ Posted using iPhone

So, the 7870 one you've linked me to, would do fine for GTA IV, and get rid of my lag, and run at high or max. settings? I'm planning on making LCPDFR videos, so the lag has to be eliminated Best, KRI ~ Posted using iPhone

Okay Main thing I want is the Memory Clock and Core/Engine Clock? Looks like I'm going tech shopping sometime this week! And remembering, the main things: - Memory Clock (Higher the number, better it is?) - Core/Engine Clock (Higher the number, better it is?) - Not worrying about GBs Best, KRI Edit: Found this one: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX33912 or this one: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX41638 Would I be able to run max. settings on either one of those?

Lol Sorry for the questions, it's 2:17 AM for me. Wouldn't the 4 GB one be better, because, well, it's 4 GB and not 2? Again, I need one that won't eat up my budget. This one would work fine, just not on max. settings?: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX40035 Best, KRI P.S. Again, sorry for the questions, I'm tired as it's 2:17 AM for me. :P Edit: Please PM me instead. :P

So, a 2GB one would work fine on max. settings? I need one that won't eat up my budget though. The one above wouldn't run on max. settings even though it's 4 GB? o.O Best, KRI

Unfortunately, my budget is kinda small since I got the new PC. With my luck, after I got my new PC, I got laid off from my job.... So, right now my budget is about $200-$300, with an average of $250 The Memory Express site, I linked to this one: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX40035 That one in the link above, is 4GB for $89.99 Would that one work for GTA IV and LCPDFR on full scripts and max. settings? Main reason I'm looking, is I plan to do GTA IV, LCPDFR Videos and need the lag, mentioned in my other thread, to be eliminated. Best, KRI

Hi guys, Per my "GTA IV Running Slowly?" thread, I've been looking up graphics cards, and found some: Would any of the graphics cards linked to below, get rid of my "lag/ slow to respond" on GTA IV and LCPDFR, on maximum scripts and settings? 1. http://www.walmart.com/ip/MSI-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-660-Ti-3GB-GDDR5-PCI-Express-3.0-Graphics-Card/22086502 2. http://www.walmart.com/ip/EVGA-GeForce-GT-640-4GB-DDR3-Graphics-Card/22254919 3. http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX40951 4. http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX40035 If yes, which one? (Just say which number. :P) Best, KRI Note: May add more links, to before making a reply refer back to this post, and see if it has been edited by me Edit: Any links above that require a certain power supply and motherboard, I cannot get, because I don't know what my power supply is, and don't know what motherboard I have/ how to find out what motherboard I have

GTA IV Running Slowly?
Just an update. I installed FRAPS, and the majority of the time, I'm averaging anywhere between 18 FPS to 23 FPS Loading screens I get 53 FPS every time Suggestions? Edit: Would any of these graphics cards do to fix the lag? http://www.walmart.com/ip/MSI-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-660-Ti-3GB-GDDR5-PCI-Express-3.0-Graphics-Card/22086502 http://www.walmart.com/ip/EVGA-GeForce-GT-640-4GB-DDR3-Graphics-Card/22254919 I plan on making LCPDFR videos, and need a graphics card that will make GTA IV run smoothly, no lag, or "late response" to controls. Anyone with info on the above links to graphics cards, please reply. This is urgent. :P

help with a car??
- Help Plz Help!!!!
An Intel i7 is recommended, with at least 2.6 - 3.0 GHz Processor Speed Along with at least 4 or 8 GB of RAM. (I think) I have 8 GB of RAM, and it works fine for me, so far. Though you didn't list it, if you have a 1GB Video Card, that's just under the minimum required to play GTA IV and LCPDFR on full scripts, and maximum settings. This might help you out: http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/479435-PC-System-Requirements-for-GTA-IV Best, KRI- Announcing ELS V7 (UPDATE 02/05)
- LCPDFR Full Release?
I've heard that April Fools goes until midnight- Problems with LCPDFR
I've gotten the SMPA60 Error before, in the middle of a pursuit. (No car parked at Safe House) So far, what works for me is: 1. Restart the game. 2. Don't leave the safe house. 3. Save the game. 4. Load the game you just saved. It seems to cure my SPMA60 error I've gotten a few times, until I replace another car. Best, KRI- LCPDFR stops* working
In other words your Antivirus Program quarantined the files. I installed LCPDFR using the installer that can be downloaded on the LCPDFR Modifcation Page. I got no alerts from my Antivirus. Best, KRI- [View 6] Vehicle Explosion at Schottler Medical Center
