  3. I have been getting this today too. I think that there might be some issues with the server. Also note that the live board on that is usually on the right side of the forum index is not there as it usually is. I guess they're quietly preparing for something to do with the Stats soon.

  8. I have been thinking of notable ones I still have a good memory of, there was a recent one last week I was doing. I pulled over a guy for running a red, and asked him for ID, to which he replied that he "Left it at home." Usually, I'll ask them to step out, so then I may Frisk them and then arrest, when a bus pulls up, and runs down my partner, and then stops. I make him step off of his bus, to which he then also replies that he left his ID "at home" (seems to be a common occurance these days.)
  9. No need for SNT, really. When in your car, press the Tilde Key (~), then type in " heal " (without quotation marks) in the console, press enter, and it should instantly be healed (though note, this will also heal your officer, and possibly your partner too if they're in the car.) There are also some scrpits that do repairs as well.
  10. Was this random ped wearing all black and sorta beefy looking? If so, sounds like you ran into one of the bouncers at the clubs. They tend to do that a lot it feels like when you find yourself in a gun situation near a club (like the Strip Joint in East Bohan). I had it happen a few times in the past, though I usually carry the taser on me, they usually drop their weapon (and themselves), and become extra cooperative.

I can say, I definitely notice the improvement too! I don't have the game CTD'ing on me as much as it used to. Plus, I notice a that suspects now can forget their IDs too! Makes it more dynamic if you ask me. I like it, Thank you Development team!

  15. Was talking with my friend about how nice it would be to have another game like World's Scariest Police Chases, but with proper traffic stops and such, where you played a Uniform LEO instead of the regular old 5-0 like almost every cop game out there. He was aware of the mod and showed me it. Within half a year, GTA IV was super cheap on Steam, and I instantly got LCPD:FR, plus all the vehicles I wanted (including my 1968 Polskie Fiat 125p that I use for most of my patrols.) I started out I think in the last weeks of 0.91, before 0.95 replaced it (and I can tell you, it was an interesting trip to RC2, quite a lot of people (myself included) had to go back to 0.91.)
  16. If by 4 wheel drive, you mean something like an SUV (i.e. the Police Patriot (GTA's "Hummer") used by the NOOSE teams in the default game), then you can get to choose it when you normally choose your vehicle. Just keep scrolling through all the available choices, it'll show up. Likewise, you can make it spawn by pressing the Tilde key (~), which opens up the console, then in that little screen that drops down, type " Spawn polpatriot " (without quotation marks), then pressing the Tilde key once again to make the console disappear. Note that you'll get it if you didn't replace that vehicle with something else, otherwise, you'll get what you have put into that slot, though I'm gonna assume you didn't change any of the cars in GTA IV and kept it just like you had it when you installed it (I personally replaced my Patriot with the Police Yosemite someone made, it fits the flavor of how I have things set up a little better.)
  17. I usually see something like that happening with the Homeless Disturbance Calls (though sometimes they're trying to stab air too). But if you mean you get to the scene, and the guy is essentially holding the wall hostage! That's something new. Guess the game is putting the scene a couple feet off from where it should be.
  18. I believe you have just proven my point then! To force people who have spent their whole lives, and have known no other home to leave, even if ancestrally are seen as a invasive force by the indigenous people, is just very much wrong. It is no better than what the non-indigenous peoples did to the indigenous population in the past. Of course, Israel and Palestine's circumstances, and how it got to where it is today is very different to that of South Africa. As I said, the white population, especially the Afrikaners (which are largely Dutch decedents) were there for generations as well. For most of those people, they have never known any other home aside from South Africa, and I'm sure a good many of them have possibly never even left Africa in their lives!
  19. There were times when both actually crossed lines. IMO, I don't care, the whole Nazi War machine of the 30s and 40s, they were terrorist forces as far as I'm concerned. Otherwise, you just pretty much just told us that a lot of these groups can also be considered the same. They all claim to be part of some state they made themselves, carry weapons out in the open, some do have identifying uniforms, and claim to primarily target combatants (which is everyone that disagrees with them btw.) Hey! That brings me to my next point! I guess the definition of a combatant, like that of a terrorist comes down to how it's interpreted.
  20. So, what you're telling me is that you are saying that people who have known that as their only home should leave because of what happened a very long time ago? Granted, most of us were alive when Apartheid was around, and was on its death bed. But your logic definitely falls apart quickly when you realize that the people who live there, likely didn't come from the UK directly, and were born and raised IN South Africa. To put it in perspective it would be like telling all the direct European descended Jews to leave what is today known as Israel, or the Ethnic Russians in places like Latvia and Ukraine (though they are hot issues now) to do the same, despite most of those people being born and raised in the land there! I do know about the issues in South Africa. I hear about them on the Radio late at night when the BBC is playing over our NPR affiliate, and read about, and it is worrying that very little is being done to actually address the problem from anywhere. While I on TV and such, they talk about the younger generation being united together, then I read and hear these issues that pop up over what happens there, and it worries me when I hear about these people that are out for massive amounts of Blood, after we see historically what happens when that is, and often the result is overall sadness and a massive overcast of national shame. Apartheid had ended only 20 years ago, I can only hope that 20 years from now, that all South Africans can find themselves truly on more equal footing, regardless of race or ethnicity.
  21. On the hot part of the topic All members of Al Quieda/ISIS/Boko Haram are pretty much terrorists. But the converse isn't true, as not all terrorist are Islamic Extremists. What do you call Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols? Or how about Ted Kaczynski? Or the Columbine guys? Last I checked, they were not Muslims nor trained in a special camp in Afghanistan. Is there some accredited degree or certification program you can go through to become a terrorist? I'm not sure, but I highly doubt so. Anyways, a lot of these attacks of these sorts, just like eh Beslan School Massacre, as well as the train station bombers last year in Volgograd were premeditated attacks. So we're not dealing with a guy who snapped all of a sudden and killed a bunch of people within minutes, but rather someone, or some people who took weeks, months, even years of planning the attack. As for the guys fighting from Chechnya and the neighboring Oblasts? Yes they're civilians, but then they're not. It's some kind of weird grey area they're in. You can't and shouldn't call the various Nazi military branches from WWII civilians because they clearly were not civilians. In my opinion, be it a group like Al Quieda, or a an individual like Adam Lanza, or a recognized military, like the Nazi Wehrmacht from WWII. I honestly can't give to craps whether they're civilians or not, they're all terrorists in my opinion. It isn't a secret, this kind of lunacy, especially against kids in school isn't just limited to the US or Western Europe. Anyone who reads the news enough (and a source that covers a good portion of the world's stories) will find that every few months someone will attack school kids in a country with a knife or Hammer. Knowing some of these countries, I can't imagine how many times it might even be swept under the rug too! It has been a pretty violent year for Florida though compared with other years, especially for Law Enforcment. It seems a lot of fugitive Drifters from up north have made their way down here, and have found themselves shooting a cop (which the shooter themselves is found a couple hours later, dead due to a self inflicted gunshot wound supposedly. The two shootings that ended in a LEO fatality we've had in the Windermere area ended like that.) While the shooting in Nevada was definitely premeditated, the cases down here are more like idiots that were already on the run and made a pretty bad decision. I can't speak for those cases like the Nevada cop killers. But some of the recent shooters, like that Assistant Movie Director's kid or Adam Lanza, it seems more like they had some kind deep emotional scarring, as well as other difficulties in overcoming certain issues. Without the ability to understand, they had no peace. It is only a massive shame they chose to take down many non-deserving innocents with them. That does lead me to say, if you were crap to someone in the past, if you run into them someday, be it online, or in person. Just apologize to them and be nice to them, even if they might not take it well at first. It can certainly go a long way to help them deal them, and give them closure to help them move on more effectively.

  24. And actually, it was implemented in 1.0! I ran into those at least 2 or 3 times on my first patrols when it was originally released! Usually find Drugs and a Weapon! Same here, aside from the pre-defined locations that someone is usually pulled over anyways in the Vanilla game (like the bridge between Algonquin and Charge Island).
  25. Well, I can't think of anything that could help right away. Best thing I can think of is the Traffic Flow mod, as it seems to be a good work around for the bug as far as I have experienced.
  26. Problem is, usually these life rafts have some kind of Emergency Transmitter too when they're deployed. I remember reading some years back of either a Boeing crew or a airline maintenance crew that inflated one of these in the plane, apparently had some USCG equipment over them within minutes, and they were not pleased...
