Do you need free disk space to run rage plugin?

Featured Replies

My rage plugin keeps crashing on startup. Could this have anything to do with the fact that my computer only has about 6 GB left of space on the disk?

No. The main reason I hear of crashes on startup are due to not having Microsoft .NET Framework or Microsoft Redistributable (2015). Oh yes, or Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x64). If you do not have those, I recommend starting there. 🙂

I did install both of those, however, when I first setup the rage plugin, it said the visual c ++ redistributable  wasn't installed. So I uninstalled a bunch of current versions and reinstalled. nothing worked. The error message kept coming up. Any ideas?

I had the exact same issue until I messed with that in the registry. Hmmmmm, did you make sure they are actually installed and readable. Mine said it was installed, yet my PC wasn't reading the code so my RPH would just crash for no reason 😞

I figured out what was wrong! I was using (x84) version of visual c++ instead of (x64). When I go to the website to download the redistributable, after clicking download, it will ask to choose between two installers. I was choosing the wrong one. Lol

That is a start. Is it launching now?

Yeah it is

Hell yeah, I love hearing that! I know the struggle, I couldn't play LSPDFR for some almost three weeks. It started with one crash, I would fix that, then I couldn't go into the PD to go on duty and then RPH just stopped launching and froze on Loading "Story Mode". I was so happy when I got it back up and running lol. LSPDFR=DAMN BEST POLICE SIM ha ha. Need anymore help, just ask 🙂
