Actually, this should work with ELS v8. I did setup one of my very old car models to work with this mod, and it uses dummies from moving parts (doors, trunk, and hood) in order to make the components work. Unfortunately, this means making parts of the car non-functional, which is why I didn't do it to any other of my models.

Try Audacity. I highly recommend it, as I use it quite often!

The only thing I didn't like about Skorpo's brake light mod is that it puts your car in a frozen-like state, the same state that a car is in when you enter a mission destination marker.

I would love to see this script, too. To substitute for this effect, I had previously made cars with fake indicators placed behind the actual indicators. These were connected to the headlights, so they would appear to be on at night and give the illusion that they would get brighter when the indicators were on.

Yep, Traffic Flow is definitely the culprit. I had the same problem or a while, so I made the number of frequencies in the .ini really high.

I don't know of a confirmed way to do it in VCR, but replacing the VCR vehicle files, componentpeds, playerped, and data files (.dat, .ide, etc) should work. Again, this isn't confirmed.
