  1. Yes, watch your language Francis. My PC is like middle field. AMD Phenom II X4 945 Black Edition @ 3,0GHz nVidia GTS 250 1024MB 3*2GB Kingston Hyper X @ 800MHz and a half full 500GB HDD. It took me about half an hour to install GTA IV. It takes me about 20 minutes to copy 16GB, off a disk (at least in the installation its 30 Mins)
  2. Do you use a crack?
  3. gtapolicemods.com which is down atm.
  4. You will be able to run it at high settings. How much VRAM does your GFXcard have? http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/
  5. Numpad. F-Keys. What you want are the numpad keys, not the F-Keys. Hope that helped. EDIT: If you're already using the numpad, then try enabling NumLock.
  6. I'm so happy I didn't buy it two months ago. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Why are you creating another thread for this? What do you want? Is it really so hard to write a post which makes clear what you want? Questions over questions. 1. If your GTA IV laggs, turn down the settings. 2. If your modded cars fall over, you haven't replaced the line in the handling.dat - Also this is not an LCPD:FR issue. 3. About ELS, you have your other thread.
  8. I know that installing ELS and LCPD:FR is VERY easy, especially if you use your brain a bit and read; still no need to call people 10 year olds. A lot of people aren't as technically aware, even people of my generation.
  9. Ever tried to read the readme? It says which keys to press in order to turn on the emergency lights.
  10. I myself use 3*2GB Kingston Hyper X DDR2 @ 800MHz and I'm very satisfied with them. They never failed me, whilst when I had 2*2GB corsair ram, 2GB failed after 4 hours of pc use (when my PC was brand-new and I only had it for 4 hours). I would recommend Kingston.
  11. Oh that's slow for DDR3, my DDR2 runs faster, are you sure they're DDR3? If yes, then go for the upgrade.
  12. Sit in a car ALT+M ALT+T (or CTRL+T) ALT+M Auto mode is now on.
  13. What does this have to do with LCPD:FR? I think there was one on GPM.
  14. Looks good. that's 1060MHz isn't it? Could you look how much MHz RAM is in your laptop atm?
  15. What c13 said + you have two or three light patterns less and takedown lights only work when you turn off primary lights.
  16. Basically you will want to look for ram of the same DDR kind (DDR2 or DDR3, depending on what the laptop takes) and then you will want to look for faster ram in MHz terms. 1000MHz ram for example, is faster than 800MHz RAM.
  17. About the memory leak, try creating a file called commandline.txt in your GTA: ELFC/IV directory and paste this line in it: -memrestrict 681574400 should fix the memory leakage.
  18. I recently upgraded from 4GB to 6GB and it did give me a performance boost in almost all games. (Including GTA IV) If I was you, I woluld go for it.
  19. NB has ELSv6 in his modpack, though I must agree with Iconography, ELSv5 runs much more stable for me. (at least when using more than one copcar) http://www.youtube.com/redirect?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mediafire.com%2Ffile%2Fxefnpfhuw5hrjyd%2FNBVGV%2520Mod%2520Pack.rar&session_token=4ecOKc09j8_qg5DkDA-hY5P2RwF8MTMwODk4NjQ1NUAxMzA4OTAwMDU1
  20. I must agree with the people here, nVidia is clearly my favourite, for me it doesn't have to be an Intel CPU with it though, I'm fine with the AMD CPU's. I just don't like their graphics cards.
  21. Y U NO LOOK AROUND IN THE FORUMS? there you go: http://hub.lcpdfr.com/lcpdfr/wiki/keys
  22. Have you tried pressing J or K to activate ELS?
  23. Since many people hate the fact that there is no police-scanner action in game, I'm gonna teach you how to have soem sweet radio talk in the background, when you're on patrol. We will listen to the NYPD radio over internet, this is legal. Now, GTA IV doesn't accept M3U files anymore, so we will have to have a program running in the background. Use what-ever program you'd like to use, for example Windows Media Player or iTunes. For this tutorial though, and for my own game, I'm going to use VLC. You can get it from here. First Step: Download VLC or any media player of your choice. I'm going with VLC, from here. Second Step: Open your media player, in this case VLC and go to "Media > Open Networkstream..." (or similar on other media players) What you want to do now is enter the following address into the field... http://relay.radioreference.com:80/931287466 ...and hit Play. Now you will have a police scanner running in vlc. If you don't hear anything, don't worry, they don't always talk; just wait a bit. Third Step: Open GTA IV and play. You might wanna adjust the volume of your media player so it isn't too loud ingame. Have fun!
  24. No. Well we can't look into your computer, you gotta find it, if it isn't where the posters above suggested.
