Well, Installing GTAIV is easy and SecuRom is a copy protection program comes along with GTAIV.

Honestly I don't see what the big deal is towards SecuRom, just did some research, a lot people say they refused to buy the game because of it...

1. Should I go ahead and sign up for R* Social Club before purchasing the game?

2. Does the game disk really HAVE to be in the disk drive in order to play the game?

1.You'll have to make an account to play so you might as well.

2.I have the game on steam so I don't know

I believe the disc has to be in, atlthough i have steam version too.

noo man dont trust every lie if you have a GOOD PC your install will be done in less then 5 min...like mine;)

1. You have to signup with social club when you finish installing GTA IV.

2. No i personally bought the game online downloadable version so i don't need a CD to run the game.

Franciiiiiiiiis, watch your language. Also, no... the install won't last for only 5 mins and it dosen't depend really much on how good your PC is that much.

My PC is like middle field.

AMD Phenom II X4 945 Black Edition @ 3,0GHz

nVidia GTS 250 1024MB

3*2GB Kingston Hyper X @ 800MHz

and a half full 500GB HDD.

It took me about half an hour to install GTA IV. It takes me about 20 minutes to copy 16GB, off a disk (at least in the installation its 30 Mins)

Yeah, it takes me about 20 minutes (8-10 minutes if game is on HD, not disk) on my 1tb Samsung HD103SJ drive.

But as you said, you'd have to be a complete noob for it to take 4 hours and support calls.

Is very Hard to install No Child friendly

Lets look at it from another angle, childs shouldn't be playing this game. (I don't want to start a discussion about this, I couldn't care less, just sayin'.)

Anyways, it couldn't get much easier to install, its not harder than any other game.

When i first had the pirated version (Oh boy, i'm guilty) it was easy to install! It's the same stuff but without the CD, you just need common sense with it.
